Great location close to Trinidad and Moonstone beaches. Fenced yard for dogs and impeccably landscaped. Well-equipped and clean. Will stay again when in the area.

This was the PERFECT little cottage for me. As a single traveler, I felt very safe and comfortable here. The property owners are right next door so are available if you need anything, and are so respectful of your privacy that you wouldn't know they were there. I stayed here because it was close to the Redwoods and to Moonstone Beach, an off-leash dog beach. The tide pools and running water are shallow enough to do a little swimming and play fetch as my Golden is sometimes a little intimidated by the ocean and the waves. He absolutely loved his time spent there, and he loved returning 'home' to the cottage to lie in the grass in the fenced yard. I was able to hose off all the sand before he went in, as well, so it was a great set up for us.The cottage has everything you would need for a short or long stay, and the bed is so cozy and comfortable you get the rest you need after your long days of exploring. Preparing meals, doing laundry, and relaxing outside by the firepit in the evening are all things to be enjoyed here. I was able to visit each of the Redwood State Parks from this location, but didn't feel like I was in with all the tourists at night. It was just a short scenic drive to the Redwoods and many beaches. I would definitely stay here again. The owners are so friendly and helpful if you need anything, and all the while, you feel like you are in your own private cottage!
