Nestled in Galveston Island, this charming house for $500 per night is a great choice for your next break. This island home is located steps away from the best beach on Galveston Island. Enjoy the stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico and sunsets over Galveston Bay. "Changes in Latitudes" is part of the Pointe West community which includes a private beach club. The beach club features an infinity pool, full restaurant, pool-side bar, gym, gift shop, game room, lazy river and much more. World class fishing is right around every corner (Gulf Coast surf fishing, San Luis Pass, Galveston Bay). Some of the best shelling on the island is also steps away. Come enjoy all that island life has to offer in Galveston island's premier community. Changes in Latitudes is tastefully decorated, 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home in the exclusive and luxurious Pointe West resort located on the West end of Galveston island. This is a family friendly home steps away from the private beach walkover. The home has 2 large private balconies with outstanding views of the Gulf of Mexico and community lagoons. The home has 3 king sized beds and another bedroom with two bunk beds. Linens are included with the rental. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped and features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. In addition to all of the basics, the kitchen has many extras (e.g., large serving platters, large griddle, crock pot, Keurig Coffee maker, regular coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, wine bottle opener, toaster and waffle iron). There are 5 televisions, 2 DVD players and cable. The home also has a washer/dryer and has high speed internet access. Below the house are charcoal BBQ grills and a cabana shower to rinse off after a great day at the beach. There are also two picnic tables below the home. It's a great place to unwind and after a day at the beach or beach club. Also a nice location for cocktail hour. Both balconies have fantastic views of the beach, lagoons, large palm trees and the beautiful Pointe West community. The lower balcony has plenty of brand new adirondack furniture (captain's chairs and table), the perfect place to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner and soak in the views. The upper balcony of off of the master bedroom is equipped with brand new adirondack lounge chairs and a bistro table and chairs, a great spot for your morning sunrise cup of coffee. Guests are as close as you can get to the community private beach crossover which leads to beautifully groomed and wide beaches, the best on the island. Guests may also enjoy the many amenities that the Pointe West resort has to offer. Wristbands for the amenities are $25 per person, children age 3 and under are free, and are good for the duration of your stay. Amenities include, infinity edge pool overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, hot tub, lazy river pool, children's pools, game room, fitness facility, poolside bar, restaurant and resort activities. There are many options for fishing at Pointe West. Guests can surf fish, right at the beach. San Luis Pass also offers world-class surf fishing and Galveston Bay offers many wade fishing options right off of the Pointe West property. The community also has a fishing pier on the bay side of the resort. If you like shelling, some of the best on the island is available at Pointe West. Conch shells, Scallop shells, oysters, sand dollars, etc. are not uncommon. The ultimate in rest and relaxation is available right here. Come and enjoy. ***** We do have an outside security camera pointed at the garage for security purposes.

Chnages in Latitude was a great house. It was clean and well stocked. Bed were all very comfortable. The extra beach toys and supplies were an awesome added bonus. The location is perfect with very quick access to the beach and a quick golf cart ride to the club amenities. Communication with Brenda was smooth and easy. My kids loved all the real pictures in the home too. We have never stayed this far west on the island but we really enjoyed it!

I had just come out of having a double mastectomy and really did not want to miss our family reunion and it was the perfect house for me to relax , take in the beautiful sunsets and view of the water .
We got to spend some quality family time together.

This house is exactly as pictured and described. The owner Brenda is amazing and so welcoming. This neighborhood could be out of a movie. It is perfect and so relaxing and quiet. Quick and easy access to the beach. My entire family raved about the house and our vacation. They have everything at this house that you could need while on vacation. We will definitely be back!

Everything was exactly as described in the posting, and it was clean, bright, and welcoming. The balconies were amazing for any time of day! Brenda was incredibly helpful with all of our questions and always responded in a timely manner. The beach was just steps away, and the provided wagon and chairs were perfect. No complaints whatsoever.

The property was just as lovely as the listing photos. Everything we needed was there, from beach gear to a high chair to a fully functional kitchen (with two coffee makers.)
The neighborhood was clean and quiet, had great access to the beach and there are pools that can be accessed for a small additional fee.

We came for spring break, and it was perfect for our group. I do wish the restaurant had been open, but that couldn’t be helped. The house was lovely, and Brenda answered all our questions promptly. We would definitely return.

Property was well-maintained and wonderfully located. We stay on the west end between Christmas and New Year each year - we were impressed that this was the first time we experienced Christmas decorations (nice ones!) at a property there. This was a nice touch as my immediate family was extending our holiday and exchanged gifts during our stay. Kitchen was well-stocked. We had plenty of space for both group and solo time/activities. Everyone enjoyed the setting and felt comfortable and engaged. Brenda was responsive and the home was nicely decorated. The only complaints we had were not on the host - it was a foggy/humid weekend (it happens) and there were decidedly over-zealous fireworks celebrants during the weekend.
Overall a great time for my family.

Beautiful home just south of Galveston, away from the bustling crowds, and located in a planned beachside community. This home is equipped with everything a family could need: plenty of kitchen supplies for cooking and grilling, books, toys and games, even a pack-n-play and high chair for the little one. The gracious hosts have thought of everything to make a family vacation fun and memorable. Loved the outdoor shower for cleaning up children and toys after an afternoon at the beach.

Perfect family rental
This was a perfect rental for my two sons and their young families! The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and the house was so clean upon arrival! Brenda was always quick to respond with any questions.

Perfect for our small children!
We had a wonderful time. We were there over the 4th of July and the beach club had tons of activities. We had lots of kids with us and the house was perfect for small children. There is a pack n play, high chair, and gate so you don’t have to bring them!

Wonderful Stay!
This is a wonderful property. We’ll furnished with everything needed for a great vacation. Our grandkids loved that it was so close to the beach. The kitchen is well equipped and stocked with supplies if you plan on cooking meals while you’re there. Highly recommend for a family get together!

Amazing visit and house
This is the best rental property we ever visited. The house had absolutely everything you need for a family vacation at the beach. We visited with 2 families - 4 adults and 6 kids. There was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy being together and finding some quiet time too. We would all highly recommend this house to anyone who asks. The beach club and sunset pool was perfect. This was the best of both worlds - felt like you were at a resort with the comfort of a fully stocked beach house. Our family fished from the shore and we enjoyed an evening of fish tacos. From flying kites to sand castle contests, the hosts thought of everything. Thanks, Brenda, for all you did to make our trip amazing. We really hope to be back one day soon.

Great Getaway
This was a great getaway. Myself and 6 other ladies visited for my sister's bachelorette party. The community was nice. The property manager was extremely great and catered to all our needs. I would definitely visit and stay again.
It was just a few steps from the beach. You could wake up and watch the sun set from the house or walk and enjoy it on the beach. The living space was well put together and was enough room for everyone. The 4 bathrooms was awesome too especially since it was 7 of us.

This beach house was wonderful. The property was everything we imagined and more. We were so close to the beach and not far from the pool and restaurant. Everything was clean and the owner was easy to communicate with. Our only complaint is the window coverings. They don’t block much light and this made it difficult to sleep late in the mornings. Everyone slept wonderfully at night. Thank you for a fantastic stay! We would love to stay again!
