About this house rental
Nestled in Galveston Island, this lovely house for $494 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Welcome to 'The Enchanted Sea Star!! Reduced cleaning fee available for parties of 2. Please inquire before booking. Come enjoy the sun and the sea in this OCEAN FRONT beach home in Terramar Beach on Galveston Island! If you want to check in the same day you book your reservation, Vrbo requires us to approve this beforehand so please notify us and we will be happy to do so! We are located only minutes from the Pleasure Pier, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn Water Park, Galveston State Park, the movie theater, the miniature golf course, the Airplane Museum and even NASA and the Kemah Boardwalk are close enough if you’d like to spend a day there! Galveston shows a calendar of events. We are on the west side of the island and only minutes from the Strand and Stewart Beach. This home comfortably sleeps 18. We have a wheelchair ramp to enter the home if you don't like all those stairs! Sleeping arrangements include a master bedroom with a king sized bed and a full sized bed (sleeps 4). The master has a private bathroom with a "roll-in" shower. Bedroom two comes with a queen sized bed and a full sized bed (sleeps 4). Bedroom three has 2 pyramid bunk beds (full sized bed on bottom and twin sized bed on top), (sleeps 6). The living room is furnished with a queen sized sleeper sofa plus a full size futon. The guest bath has a full tub/shower combination. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, dishes and utensils. It has a glass top stove with a double oven, dishwasher, microwave and all the comforts of home! Central A/C and ceiling fans throughout. The living room has a large, flat screen TV and a DVD player. There is also a TV and DVD player in each bedroom. Our home has a nice sized deck that overlooks the ocean. There is also a wood deck underneath the house and a picnic table. Terramar Beach has a neighborhood pool that our guests are welcome to enjoy! Linens provided but please bring your own beach towels. Wifi and cable service can be unreliable in Galveston. We are sorry that we will be unable to guarantee that these amenities will be working during your stay and are unable to offer refunds for disruption of these services. Rates posted may be for a limited number of guests. Additional fees may apply for larger groups, especially during the off-season. We came down for my daughters 11th birthday wjrh her friends! We had the best time!!! The house was perfect! There was plenty of room for everyone to feel comfortable! The porch was the perfect place to watch the sun come up!! Many memories were made!!! Can’t wait to come back!!!!

This is the third time my family has chosen this beautiful beach home for a winter holiday getaway. We keep coming back for multiple reasons: unmatched location/ocean views (I can’t stress this enough—we’ve explored other options in the area), accessible for family members with mobility needs (walker/cane), and excellent communication with hosts. We love the quiet area, it feels like it is your own private beach. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked for those moments when you are inspired to cook, and the living room is super cozy. Overall, the home has everything you need if you are looking for a place to relax and unwind. We hope to be back for our 4th stay very soon. 😁

The outside under the house was dirty with inadequate parking because of the huge dip in the dirt before you go under the house. The picnic table had sticky red food on it. The dirt under the house was nasty like numerous dogs had foot prints all over and way too many people had been there before us. Many things in the house have been poorly kept. My husband described it best as this is a big party house. Floors are wood that needs rugs or replaced. The huge chairs block the views from inside and they’re filthy with dirty hands all over the arms. The master bedding was old sheets and it all smelled. The toilet in the front bathroom is not attached to the floor. The front door was filthy. Everything presented as not kept clean and not taken care of very well. The guest room and kid room was nicer than master. The mirrors in master bathroom required me to bend down a lot to see my face- I’m 5’6. If you are looking for a place to have a lot of people pile in and not a relaxing pretty and clean stay it can work. I’m sorry, we’ve stayed many beach houses and this was our first like this one.

Was advertised as 3 bedroom/3 baths. House had 2 baths with outside shower. A small storm came on the night of 10-10, not tropical but the am of 10-11, the house was moving as we set on the couch. We left one day early as we did not feel comfortable with the movement of the house. We have rented other beach houses and have never experienced this before.

We are a group of women over 50 years old.Over all the house was good, The cleanlyness was sub par,( dust and spider webs) It could use some repair, the list of extra charges are obnoxious and should be included in the high per night price. The locacation and veiw are perfect.

12 family gals from 4 states aged 30-92 took an impromptu beach trip. The Enchanted Sea Star was perfect! It’s right on the lovely beach. The ramp allowed for our wheelchair and there was a wheelchair accessible shower too. There’s PLENTY of very comfortable sleeping and bath towels galore! High quality and very nice bedding was provided. The house is pretty, clean, spacious with fun beach decor and lots of seating. The view is spectacular! Enchanted Sea Star has so much to offer, especially for large groups. The GALveston GALS highly recommend this lovely home for a beach getaway!!

This was our second stay. Did not disappoint. Great location with amazing views. Owner very responsive to emails/questions etc..Ramp for wheelchair/stroller entrance. Rich’s beach rental awesome for golf cart rental on beach.

My family and I enjoyed our quick stay on the beach! My 84 year-old grandmother found the ramp and handicap accessible shower very easy to use. Thank you for an easy check in and out process! The house is a little drive from hub of Galveston, but still just enough distance from the tourist beaches. Thank you again for a great, peaceful stay.

Even tho it's almost 20 miles down the island from the Galveston business district, we loved the location--fewer people, great views from the deck. Minor things could be looked at--whisks in the kitchen were both rusty, for example, but none of that is important considering the location, the ramp for handicapped accessibility, the accessible shower. One of refrigerators wasn't working, but John let us know ahead of time, and it wasn't a problem. Would do it again!

My parents, daughter and I, along with our 3 family dogs, absolutely loved staying at the beach house. It was easy to find, right on the beach...so beautiful views from the deck...just the right distance from the town too.
The house itself worked flawlessly for our family. My father needed a wheelchair to get upstairs, so the ramp was invaluable! Same for the wall bars in the master bedroom. And lots of space for him to use his walker and plenty of pillows to get him to a good height to be able to get up & down from the chairs and couches almost by himself.
The house was decorated in a very beach-festive way. Just perfect to set the mood for a relaxing beach getaway. There were ample dishes, towels and quilts available. And the washer/dryer was super handy! Everything we needed (wheelchair accessible and pet friendly on the beach) and much more!
We would return in a heartbeat!!

The home smelled like raw sewage and I believe the owners are well aware of this fact and perhaps made attempts to fix in the past thus the exposed piping under this stilted property where the patio/fire pit seating is located. The smell drove several of our party to leave early. We were unable to enjoy the outside seating area due to the overhead rotted wood and because the firepit was full of sand/debris. The area had trash and felt very uncomfortably ugly. It had not been maintained in a long time, nor had the inside of the house. The sheets on the beds were threadbare, old/scratchy. The AC vents were filthy. Non-functioning lights were located inside and outside. There were items in the washing machine and an absolutely filthy lint trap. There was dried urine in one of the bathrooms and hair left on the sink. Cleaning issues were not my main concern. The main concern related to the neglected items that could not be "repaired" during our stay. No offer of compensation was made in any form. Again, this place is not being maintained or kept up and I don't understand how they are able to continue business through VRBO under false pretenses. I asked for a partial refund and the owner did not reply. The photos listed on the website are not reflective of the actual condition of the home. I sent new photos to the owners, and they simply thanked me. This indicates an intent to continue taking money from unsuspecting consumers with zero responsibility.

This place was really wonderful. Our whole family came and we had room for everyone. While it was a holiday weekend the beach was as if it was just for us. Definitely staying again.

The beach house is bright and charming , The common area is larger than what i expected from the pictures .My family enjoyed our stay immensely.The house was clean and beds were comfortable.The only negative thing is that it is a 2 bathroom but there is an outdoor shower to rinse off .Deidre and John are awesome at communicating, they never leave your questions unanswered.I would definitely book this home again.I have recommended this home to a coworker for their stay comming up in Galveston

We have stayed in several properties around Galveston, this home is by far the most comfortable and relaxing! Such a great place to sit and watch the ocean!!! Beautiful location, well stocked, comfy beds, cold A/C, homey vibe. The only thing that surprised me was this beach house has sand underneath and not the concrete we're used to. We hosed the table off and all was well. Hosts are great.

We had a great stay, excellent view despite the weather. The pictures on vrbo do need to be updated because it looks much more up-to-date than what the pictures show. All in all, we were very pleased with our stay!

This place was great! We had 6 adults and 7 children and had plenty of space! The house was well stocked with linens, towels, cookware and silverware, but you do have to provide your own toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and hand soap. We loved the big dining room table, we played games at night. They do have a little cabinet full of games for you to use as well! The house is so close to the beach and they also had a ton of beach toys under the house that the kids loved! We did have a minor issue but John and Deidre responded quickly and had our problems solved asap! Great hosts and great place!

The location of this house was perfect. Right on the beach about midway between two parking areas. The porch was large and had the tall chairs to sit in so the fence railing isn't in the way of your beach view. There are large sliding glass doors all along the front and on the east side so you could see the beach easily from inside the house. The glass was clean and the house itself was spotless. The kitchen had better cookware and dishes than most beach houses. We would happily go back!
