Nestled in Port O'Connor, this lovely house for $300 per night is a great option for your next break. This rental home is located on a quiet street in a great neighborhood. at 2259 Harrison street. The main home is only four feet above ground level, and the bunkhouse is at ground level for easy access. OUR HOME WILL ALSO BE LISTED WITH Airbnb, look for us there! The large circle drive offers ample parking for vehicles with trailers. The apron in front of the garage adds additional parking space. The main house has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and en-suite bathroom . The second contains both a queen, and a single bed, located adjacent to the second full bath. Both bedrooms have French doors opening to the deck overlooking the lawn and pond. The kitchen in the main house is fully equipped for all your cooking needs. With basic seasonings and condiments on hand. Bath, hand and dishwashing soap is provided, LAUNDRY DETERGENT IS NOT. The bunkhouse is perfect for families, containing 3 single beds and 1 queen bed. There is a full bath and a utility room with washer, dryer, refrigerator, microwave oven and coffee maker. The main house and bunkhouse each has a flat screen TV with Direct TV, and Internet access. Comfortable porches are located front and rear, with an extended lower deck . ( The upper deck has been removed and a roof is being added over the existing lower deck). There is great bird watching from the peaceful, always breezy, deck. Resident ducks and geese roam the yards and wild birds wade the pond catching insects and fish. The pond is shared with neighbors, and has a walking trail and small dock for kids fishing. The pond is stocked with bass, perch and catfish. We ask you to catch and release all but children are allowed to keep their catch, to eat. Please note that this is a natural area and parents should supervise children when fishing or walking. In the back yard there is a covered area with a sink and BBQ pit for outdoor cooking, (BBQ utensils are in the house). This rental property is less than a mile from Froggie's bait shop where fishermen can purchase live bait , tackle, gas and snacks before launching to the Intercoastal Waterway. There is three public ramps and bait shops in Port O Connor and two very nice tackle shops. Speedy Stop grocery is a well stocked store with produce, grocery, meat and dairy items as well as tackle. There is also a Dollar General. Several restaurants and bars scattered thru town offer quick meals and refreshments. Cathys restaurant offers the best shrimp dinner you can find anywhere. Port’O Connor has a newly refurbished front beach for swimming, sunbathing and family fun. There is a pier for day or night fishing. Wade fishing is available at the Little Boggy area. We do allow dogs, they must be house trained and crate trained. No animals allowed in beds or on furniture. We have gates that can be fastened on back deck to contain larger pets and hunting dogs as well as a pan for water. We have found smaller pets just go in and out through the deck rail.

We enjoyed our stay. Very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Everyone had their own space but there were plenty of places to gather. Back deck, was very enjoyable but a ceiling fan and TV would have made it perfect to watch our College football games.. Perfect home for families with children to enjoy the fishing pond in the back. The geese and ducks were very enjoyable to watch.

Very clean and well maintained - items that may need attention: 1. Sink in kitchen had a tendency to back up when running dishwasher 2. Commode seat in master bath had a tendency to fall off 3. Mini blinds in master bath have broken slats 4.Plastic shelf protector in freezer needs replacement

The house is clean and well appointed. The amenities are excellent - furniture comfortable; the beds the most comfortable I have ever slept in in a VRBO rental; the back porch large and accommodating; the WiFi strong; and DIRECTV rounding out the experience. In short probably one of the nicest VRBO house I’ve stayed in. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

Only two of us were able to come, as the others had fallen ill and did not travel. Loved the setting. House was very clean. The key did not work to the area with the third bedroom, but we did not need access. Overall, a great place.

We really enjoyed staying at this property. It was clean and well laid out. Kitchen was well stocked. Although we had a lot of rain the weekend we were there, our group was still able to enjoy the back/front decks and the well stocked fish pond. Close to everything in town.

Easy house to access, easy check in and out process and house was very accommodating for our family. Only complaint and I am not sure if they can do anything about it are the mosquitoes are TERRIBLE. Take bug spray. No other complaints.

It’s a Gem!

This house was perfect for us. Kitchen/Family area is perfect. Bedrooms are nice size with comfortable beds. The Bunkhouse is a great room that works perfectly for a family with little ones that need naps or earlier bedtimes. That back deck is shaded in the evening and even with 100 degree heat, had a pleasant breeze. This house really has it all and we hope to rent again!
