Breakfast was good

Location is excellent. Just one block from the POC Fishing Center boat ramp, where you can launch and get fresh and frozen bait, ice, fuel, beer and gear. One block away, Hurricane Junction offers an interesting contrast of excellent food and local charm. (Bring your own bottle and cards or dominoes; open Thursday through Sunday). Two blocks away, Speedy Stop is fine medium-sized grocery store, definitely a big step up from a convenience store. The fuel is the least-expensive outside Victoria, and they even sell the legendary Waterloo rods. Entire motel facility has been refurbished with a fresh look. Very clean. Quite. Staff very friendly. Coffee is excellent. Breakfast met expectations - this is not a destination resort - but could use a little more variety. Boat electricity and wash station are a huge bonus! This is where to stay if you're fishing and don't need a bunch of expensive frills. POC is not Port A, thank heaven!

The staff are always very nice and accommodating. There’s a place to charge the boat, and it’s a bed to sleep in.

Supposed to have been available at 6 am but was not. What was available once they opened was minimal. Coffee, honeybuns,banana and ceral

The rooms for the.most part were clean. There was debris left under the bed from the previous tennant. Housekeeping left the dirty towels in our room after cleaning. The room smell was very stale.
