About this condo rental
Located in Bled, this lovely condo for $91 per night is a great option for your next trip. Enjoy a holiday away from the crowds! In a traditional Slovenian house in a village near to Bled, our holiday apartments are surrounded by picturesque views and superb walking and cycling country. We offer a peaceful haven for relaxation. We chose the house for its ideal location in a tranquil village surrounded by beautiful scenery, yet just 1.8 km from the busy tourist resort of Bled. The self-contained Terrace Apartment occupies the whole of the ground floor, with its own entrance. You get the whole apartment and its spacious terrace to yourself. It has one double bedroom and sleeps 2 persons comfortably. The lounge has a comfortable settee and some additional chairs. The spacious open plan living area looks out through a patio door onto the garden and terrace. We have always achieved the highest standards of cleanliness. We clean and disinfect all frequently touched surfaces (light switches, doorknobs, cabinet handles, remotes, etc.) before you check in. The views from the garden are stunning, with fine views of the Alps bordering Austria, and views across the river valley. The modern kitchen is fully fitted with oven, hob, dishwasher and fridge-freezer and contains all of the utensils necessary for cooking. In the village there is a restaurant and a well-stocked shop and bakery that sells basic provisions. We provide all bedding and towels. In colder months evenings in front of the wood stove and the large TV are special delights. The large garden and terrace provide plenty of space for sitting out and there is a barbeque for those lazy summer evenings. The house has a lawned garden, with pleasant spaces for eating out, relaxing in the sun, or chilling out with a glass of wine after a day’s activities. Getting around is easy. There lots of astounding walking and cycling routes. We provide our own guides of local walks starting from our house to help you get the most from your stay. To go further afield public transport from Bled is excellent. In high season a free tourist shuttle bus will take you from our village into Bled. There are coach tours to many tourist attractions. If you have a car, there is easy access to the main AutoRoute and all the many attractions of Slovenia. Try swimming in Lake Bled in summer, or biking, canoeing, rafting, pony-trekking, fishing, golf, mountaineering and much, much more. This beautiful country also offers many sightseeing opportunities including the Julian Alps and the famous Triglav National Park as well as many places of historical and cultural interest. Outside of the summer season, spring and autumn are also beautiful times in Slovenia, ideal for rambling, cycling and many other outdoor activities.

We found the Terrace Apartment very nice for a couple. The kitchen was very well equipped and ate in every night on the terrace. The apartment had windows that opened wide for an airy feeling and also has a wood stove (that we didn't use). It is about 2km from the main part of Bled and so having a car makes it easier to get there. We did not walk into Bled from the apartment but did many walks around Bled, Bohim and the Vingter Gorge. The automatic dishwasher was a plus and cleaned dishes very fast (much faster than ours at home). Read all of the website material provided by John and Elaine prior to your visit....it was invaluable in driving in Slovenia (the e-vignette especially) and so there were zero surprises when we got there. Overall, a very pleasant, relaxing stay in a gorgeous place.

The apartment was exactly as described, everything you needed was there. Convenient location to explore the region and located in a secure and quiet area away from all the tourists. Communication with the hosts was excellent prior and during our stay. Would recommend staying there.

The bed is very comfortable.
Quiet surroundings.
The apartment smelled very musty, as if the apartment had not been aired for quite some time.
The freezer part of the refrigerator was broken. The refrigerator was not turned on on arrival. This did not help since the temperatures were well above 30C.
The pictures of the inside of the apartment are accurate, the pictures of the outside area are not uptodate. The picnic table is not there anymore, neither is the large umbrella. The blooming plants in the pots are now dead or withered.

This apartment was just the perfect distance from the main town of Bled and we could come relax in the peaceful setting of the area and relax. We had a wonderful time at this beautifully appointed apartment which is a short distance away from the crowds in Bled during the holiday season. The apartment has everything you could need for a couple and is within easy walking distance of Bled. There is so much to do within easy driving distance of Bled in this beautiful country.

We were very happy to stay in the bottom floor of this cute house in a quiet neighborhood but 30 min walking distance from Lake Bled. Parking onsite and a nice terrace we enjoyed in the evenings after our daily excursions in the area. All amenities were there including a nice wood stove we used one evening. Owners are just upstairs if anything is needed. Highly recommend this property!

A great apartment in a superb location
The apartment was the best equipped we have ever stayed in. It was very comfortable, everything worked perfectly and the owners could not have been more helpful. We had a most enjoyable week using the village as a base to explore the area - which is brilliant. The local bar / restaurant serves excellent food at a great price and we ate there 3 times in a week. The local walks are well worth doing - it’s a very beautiful and interesting area. Overall we had a wonderful week and I highly recommend it.

Perfect retreat
We would highly recommend the garden apartment. It was well equipped with good quality furnishings and linen; spotlessly clean and with reliable Wi-fi and good choice of free movies.
John and Elaine were excellent hosts - unobtrusive but on hand if needed.
It’s a 25 min walk to the centre of Bled and lit sufficiently to do it at night.
There are lots of walks that can be done from the door ( we didn’t have a car) and we also used public bus service to go to Ljubljana and to lake Bohinj. Would recommend the ‘national treasures’trip to see the stunning scenery of the Julian Alps.
We also enjoyed relaxing in the tidy garden - and a picnic by the river just 10 min stroll down the hill.

Very spacious with lots of storage. Kitchen had everything we needed. Hosts John and Elaine were on site to make recommendations of where to go and where to eat.

Mixed feelings!
Caretaker Wendy was very responsive. Place is small but adequate for our needs. Fireplace a special treat. Apple tree a bonus. Adequate number of English language TV stations. Weber grill a nice addition. Yard needs work - lawn mowed, bushes trimmed, etc. Heat in unit was on one day and off the next. Not good when evening temps drop down to 9 degrees. Somewhat pricey rates for off-season.

Lovely, well equipped apartment.
The property was very well located: within easy reach of Bled in a lovely village with useful local amenities. Lots of walks could be started right from apartment.
When we stayed the weather was very hot, but the apartment remained cool and comfortable.
Wendy was a great help, especially when we had a disturbed night due to a plumbing issue.
The apartment was well equipped- we especially liked the barbecue.

Great apartment in a great country!
This accommodation was home from home. The apartment was spotlessly clean with all the facilities you could need provided and a lovely garden to sit in taking in the views. It also kept lovely and cool on hot days. Within the village itself we twice visited a great restaurant only minutes walk away and the nearby hotel has a wonderful terrace in the treetops on which to enjoy a glass of wine. There are lots of great walks locally and a supermarket just down the road. We'd still be there if time allowed!

Lovely September stay in Ribno, Slovenia
We stayed in the terrace apartment which was very cosy as although the days were warm the evenings were quite chilly. The apartment is in a lovely little village a 10 minute drive or a 20 minute walk from Lake Bled. It is well equipped and Wendy who manages the apartments on behalf of the owner was very helpful. Ribno has two restaurants both serving good, vfm food.

Very nice property full of amenities
We had a great time at the property for six nights in June 2016. The property is in a great location within easy driving distance of Lake Bled, many restaurants and grocery. We were in the garden apartment on the lower level and it was filled with everything needed, especially in the kitchen. Dishwasher, utensils, dinnerware, microwave, spices, etc. The apartment was very spacious. They have a laundry washer to use and ironing board and iron which is a nice addition especially since we were traveling for a month. The apartment was very clean and Wendy and John were both nice to meet.
The only thing I might suggest is to consider air conditioning. It was pretty warm and humid when we were there and the garden apartment is partially underground on some walls and it gets pretty humid in the apartment.
We would highly recommend this property and can easily be used for larger families by renting 2 or 3 of the apartments in the house. Slovenia is beautiful country to visit.

A delightful apartment in a superb location
We enjoyed a splendid 13-night holiday based at this excellent apartment. It was spacious, spotlessly clean, attractively furnished, and equipped with everything one could possibly need from kitchen essentials to iPod docking station, a superb collection of films on hard drive, and free WIFI throughout.
There was an excellent collection of brochures, maps, and books, including the best walking guide for the area. The owners were on-site and always willing to offer suggestions of places to go, routes to take, and walks worth doing.
We hired a car, useful for transport to/from the airport, for supermarket shopping, and for travel further afield, but did not use the car on several days as took a variety of walks starting direct from the apartment, and were able to use the local community shop in the village, and eat or drink at either of the two local restaurants or the hotel, all very nearby.
The local area is most attractive and Bled is just a 20-30 minute walk away.
All in all this has to be one of our most enjoyable holidays, staying in one of best apartments we've had the pleasure of renting.

Terrace Apartment -fantastic holiday
We went to this apartment in November 2013 and so enjoyed our stay here and promised ourselves to go again when the sun was shining and we were not disappointed. Terrace Apartment is a lovely apartment to stay in come winter or summer because the log fire is wonderful in the winter and the patio is also wonderful on the peaceful summer evenings. The owners are also very knowledgeable about all things
Slovenia and I have recommended this to my friends, relatives.

A perfect end to our vacation
This apartment did not only meet our expectations it exceeded them! Everything that was advertised was delivered and more. We choose to stay in apartments when we travelled through Europe, we didn't know it when we made our booking but we saved the best for the last. The small quiet village of Ribno that is minutes away from Bled and other beautiful sights is an ideal location. Even the location of the apartment in the village is unforgettable,it allows one to view the little church with it's white steeple set against the backdrop of snow covered mountains while you listen to the gentle sounds of it's bells. John and Elaine make it a home away from home rather than an apartment rental. We were supplied with firewood and we enjoyed a few nights with the cozy wood burning fire. The patio is really nice to have a picnic or just to sit and enjoy the peacefully surroundings. We didn't see all of the surrounding sites and will return again, our first step will be to book this apartment. Thank you both John and Elaine for a great conclusion to our European vacation.

quality accommodation with superb views
Accurate description,very clean and we'll maintained. Very helpful owners both before arriving and whilst there. WouLd recommend to anyone. Many walks from the door, we did not hire a car, did not want to and did not need to. Apartment very cosy as had a log stove which was fantastic.

We stayed in the ground floor (rear) apartment which was excellent, furnished to a high standard and very comfortable, there was everything there that you would need, we were met by an English speaking representative, Nadia, who was very helpful. There is a restaurant and a small supermarket 5 minutes walk away. The walk into Bled is lovely, we recommend the longer walk which takes you through the village of Selo and takes about 45 minutes and the views are fantastic. We highly recommend this apartment.

We had a wonderful vacation in Ribno, located only 2 minutes drive away form Bled. The village is surrounded by mountains, woods, green fields - perfect scenery for a country based vacation. The apartment is spotless clean, fully furnished, warm and cozy. For additional rather small payment, the fridge was packed with groceries and felt just like home.
My only concern was lack of bath-tab, we had a one year old with us and shower wasn't the easy part of the evening. Strongly recommended!

The appartement is very comfortable and the kitchen is really complete. You can walk in 45 min to Bled, also 10 min to the Sava River. In 5 min you reach a supermarket and nearby a good restaurant "Taverna pri Stefano".
I am sure, we will come again.
