Apartment Ledrar

Off the main road so was nice and quiet but still an easy walk into bled centre and only a few minutes walk to the lake. Parking on site was very convenient too.

Parking right in front, we were helped by the host and even given access to a garage to store our bikes! The apartment was very spacious and clean fully air conditioned and heated, a huge bed and bathroom with windows that all opened to the fresh country air and balcony. Wish we had stayed even longer.

Family owned and within short walking distance to Lake Bled.

The location is really great proximity to the lake and good swim spots. There are two restaurants and a shop nearby, and the town is a short walk (15-20 minutes) away. The room itself is nice and beds are really comfortable!

Unfortunately there were a few things left to be desired about our stay. We stayed in Room 6 which had a large window and balcony which would have been amazing had it not looked directly out to a public road and another property. Because of this, we had to keep blinds down for the whole stay as to not expose ourselves. We couldn’t use the balcony as it was road level and very overlooked. We stayed for 4 nights in total and were given minimal soap and shampoo. Only enough for two people for one day so I’d advise buying your own as we did. The rooms are not turned down or restocked so we requested towels and toilet paper via booking.com when needed. The biggest disappointment was the host who was quite rude to us on our last day. Check out is stated 10-10.30 and we were met with a knock at our door at 10.08 saying we needed to get out. We had a taxi booked to the station but another 15 minutes to wait, we explained this but as she does not speak English, the host shooed us out so we had to take our bags and wait outside despite being within the checkout time. As our taxi arrived, the host came downstairs shouting at us in Slovenian, there seemed to be an issue with towels. I have no idea what happened as I couldn’t understand, but it seems she thought a towel had been misplaced. I went back to the room to help look, but she continued shouting and I almost missed my taxi. It was such an unpleasant end to our stay and felt like a real overreaction that really took me aback. I hope other guests have a better experience as the location and overall area is lovely!
