So glad we found this property to stay at for our family vacation. The scenery was beautiful - it was so lovely being right on the river and the cabin is very secluded and private so it was very peaceful and quiet. The cabin itself is very comfortable with great amenities, plenty of space for all of us, and the cable/satellite was a bonus so we could still watch football games over the weekend! The fire pit was really nice and big and we were able to enjoy sitting around it every day. We are so happy we discovered this property, my family had the BEST time and we plan to make this a yearly family trip!

Wonderful place to meet friends. Private spot on the river! Quick drive to hiking, caves, and wineries. Decor in line with “hunting cabin.” Bring extra drinking water if you’re not used to high mineral well water.

Our stay was good....only complaint wld be the a/c was broke the day we got there and it was very hot sleeping the first night esp in the loft....someone came the next day to fix it so the 2nd night was better.

The cabin is in a very remote area, just as we had hoped. We loved the peace and quiet of the area. So cool to drive between corn fields to the property. The cabin was neat, clean and was stocked very well. We purchased river rafts and took advantage of an hour and 20 minute float from the cabin to Allen’s Grove.

Very private place to unplug and unwind. We stayed at the cabin the first week of August 2022 it was very clean and felt like home. Our kids were happy to have internet access and Dish Network. We loved all the trails, the pond out back and we also had fun fishing the river. It was nice to be able to bring our dogs, they had a great time too! We definitely will stay again

The location is fantastic right on the river. Great trails on the property. Easy to get to Dewitt for groceries. Very clean and cozy! We will definitely be back.

This was a beautiful, well-maintained property that was JUST AS ADVERTISED! It was secluded and peaceful, right along the river. We parked our canoe and kayaks on the sandbar just below the bank for the entire week, so we could access them anytime we wanted. Fishing was great, and Joe was helpful with knowledge and advice about the good spots. He even encouraged us to catch bait in the small pond on the property. There were trails to hike, bags and ladder ball games, and very nice facilities inside the cabin. It was nearly as comfortable as being home, but more peaceful and right on the river! Even the golden retrievers got to stay with us, and loved the river life. We are hoping to make this an annual tradition!

Great getaway with nice land. House was perfect and there was plenty of stuff for if we had wanted to cook meals. Views were great and we enjoyed the property

The weather didn't cooperate, but still we had a great time. Amazing nature, enchanted place, extremely comfortable. Everything awesome. The only but is the water. It has a lot of iron and it would be good to get that cleaned.

We’ve been coming here for years and it’s the pinnacle of our summer. It’s so private and peaceful and the space is perfect for a group. Love it.

This property is in a remote country setting, which we wanted. Quiet and tranquil. The cabin is nice. Lots of windows to see the river. Kitchen amenities are very good for cooking. Had to pay $40 for wood for fire pit. Water is very hard and made us all itchy. Overall very good experience. Directions given to us where wrong and we had to us map and GPS to find place, but we found it so no problem. My sister's only bad experience was getting multiple spider bites from her bed each night. No one else had that issue. Will consider renting again as it is perfect location for her and I to meet half way from where we live. Tip: Bring your own drinking water.

Myself and my 5 adult daughters came to celebrate the lives of my parents who passed. My dad grew up on the Wapsi so this was perfect the place. It was exactly what we all needed. Perfect cabin, perfect location. We are definitely going to want to come back.

Our family is split between Iowa, Minnesota and Michigan, so we were looking for a place we could all meet and enjoy some R&R. The cabin was better than expected, plenty of room for all of us and all the amenities we could need. Property was large with lots of room for us to explore. Great access for fishing on the Wapsi. Having brought our kayaks, the only thing we would have loved to have is better direct access to the water, though there were great access points just up the river a bit at Sherman Park and downstream at Allens Grove. We really hope to come back again in the future!

This was a great place to stay!! Sleeping arrangements worked for our large group. We went on both floats - from Sherman Park to house was 5 hours for us in tubes as the river was low. The float from the house was 2 hours. Played yard games and fire every night. Caught a couple of catfish (threw them back). Would visit again.

Second year in a row we visit the cabin. Kids had a wonderful time playing outside, fishing and exploring the woods. Cozy interior with all necessary amenities. Huge fire pit is perfect for a family or two to sit around.

Great stay, although impending bad weather forced us out early. Spent time exploring the property, viewing the hundreds of birds that showed to feed, and holing up with games, puzzles, and HGTV. A relaxing escape after a pretty nuts year.

a small group of friends and I returned for our second stay at this property. i can't say enough positive things about it. it is quiet and secluded and just gorgeous. we tubed the river, sat by the fire, bbq'd from the porch, and watched the stars at night. we saw bald eagles every evening and watched frogs along the shores of the river. it is truly a beautiful space perfect if you are looking to escape the city for a while for some quiet. we will be returning as soon as we can.
