Spacious , private
The coffee in the room was never filled and there was never milk available. Considering we were so close to A country with amazing coffee instant coffee was terrible

the room was by the beach side and it was spacious . only thing good about the facility was the male and female receptionist.
rooms weren’t properly cleaned, glasses and spoons were dirty with stains, breakfast was horrible, lunch menu limited to seafood couldn’t even get a regular burger.

Very comfortable bed, good air conditioning when it worked , helpful reception staff and friendly room staff. Location was good.
in 1 week: No water 3 times , intermittent power supply, poor pressure in the shower (the shower heads need cleaning) had booked a second bed in the room which was not provided, dining equipment VERY limited - milk served in sugar bowls, short of cups and coffee plungers etc, pool surrounds not cleared and kept clean, visible litter in the boundary between Kikoi and Joy, cats everywhere especially in the dining room, no tea and coffee in the rooms, took 4 requests to prepare our bill and even after finally settling, we had a member of staff knocking on our door with a bill for a bottle of water that had been omitted at 10pm at night! The management in this hotel needs a shake up.

Kikoi is two steps from the beach and all in all everything is pretty much OK.
The appartments are spacious and clean (if you don't dig too much in the details).
For some reason I don't know we didn't really feel at home, so let's put the blame on Michamvi :)
From Michamvi we expected at least some remnants of hippie flair, but it's gone.
Kae Funk is meanwhile fully commercialised and huge appartment blocks are growing
on the major part of the beach. Game over.
Not the hotel to blame!

Everything was just perfect and amazing! We felt like at home. Special thanks to Sara and Emanuel for the lovely welcoming and Bday decoration for one of our family members. There were not just apartments but private houses with great view to the palms garden and seaside... I highly recommend the food in the restaurant, the best we had comparing with the places around, and the staff is so nice and dedicated making guests' stay great! Don't miss to try the Seafood plate for two and the Sticky dates cake :)
one point down for only one thing but very important - the water in the bathrooms was salty.

The location and style of rooms were good. Restaurant - Indian food is really good.
The room AC was pathetic, we complained many times but the issue remained unsolved. Rooms are very big and ACs capacity is too low, also the cover on AC blocks the cooling.
The deluxe category Rooms don't provide cattle, free water bottles etc basic amenities.
There is a lack of staff

Nice location on the beach, where you can see magnificent sunsets and easily swim
Quiet atmosphere
Good restaurant
Private pool had too much chlore

The staff was very friendly, the accommodation very clean (cleaning service every day) and the breakfast was good and we could order our individual wishes every morning. the room was very big and the private pool was a nice option to cool down.
The beach is very clean and beautiful - at low tide you can take a walk to see starfish.
We can fully recommend this hotel.
There was only one negative point in our opinion:
the menu should be improved and the prices are too high compared to other restaurants.

It is a beautifully designed resort with spacious rooms. The bungalows are designed for privacy, perfect for couples. The beach adjunct to the hotel is great. The bungalow pool is kinda neat. The breakfast is ok. The a-la-cart restaurant serves good food with sizeable portions (though on the pricy side).
The place needs a lot of maintenance: the sun-bed mattresses on the beachfront were constantly stained with bird excrement as were the rails on the bungalow porch and the table on the porch (hey, at least the chairs weren't!!). The small coffee table on the porch was broken and looked like it is about to fall apart. The rails on the bungalow porch also need a fresh coat of paint (maybe two). The water pressure in the shower is pathetic and always changing. The tap water has a salty feel to it (do they mix it with sea water?). The filters of all the faucets are completely clogged (never cleaned since opening?). Some of the window mosquito nets have holes. The mosquito nets around the bed don't connect to the ceiling and the adjunct wall so there are gaps through which the mosquitos can come through.
The information provided on their Booking site makes it seem like they offer breakfast, lunch and dinner; each for a fixed rate paid daily - in actuality they offer a bed and breakfast kind of deal with an adjunct a-la-carte restaurant with European prices where you CAN have lunch and dinner but will end up paying a lot more than their Booking site makes seem - it is misleading and a bit fraudulent. The restaurant/bar staff really enjoys their EDM music, sometimes a bit too loudly, which makes chilling there a bit hard (verging on impossible).

I LOVED everything about Kikoi! I received such a warm
welcome from Happy at the reception. Once I checked
in, I was led to my beach front apartment, and couldn't
stop saying "WOW" with every step- it literally felt like I
was walking through paradise. And get this, my room
was called "The House of Wonder!" In the room there
was a beautiful Happy Birthday message spelled out in
petals. The apartment was beautiful, clean and
spacious. As if it couldn't get better, I drew the curtain
and was greeted by a remarkable view right at my door
step, with a clean and beautiful terrace and my own
private pool. I spent 8 nights at Kikoi and every day was
better than the last. The food was AMAZING!! I mean
we had potatoes and eggs cooked in different and
delicious ways everyday! The grilled King Fish with
grilled vegetables was DELICIOUS! Oh and the Biryani
with King Fish was a true culinary experience! There is
a lo00ooong stretch of beautiful (clean) beach with
white sands and pretty blue water. I loved spending my
days walking up and down the beach and discovering
all sorts of hidden gems (literally beaches within the
beach!), not mention relaxing in the ocean. Walking
through the mangroves was just delightful, and even
stumbled a cute beach bar, and spent many a day
sitting on the deck, overlooking the ocean while
sipping cold ciders and munching on the homemade
roasted nuts while listening to good music. When the
tide comes in a boat takes you back to Kikoi free of
charge! The staff is ever helpful and extremely friendly-
Alex, Chris, Happy, everyone was just a delight to be
around. I mentioned that I loved their Hibiscus Juice
and the next day they'd made a 1.5 liter container to
take with me when I checked out!! They even packed
that delicious Biryani for me!! Basically what I'm trying
to say is Kikoi Boutique Hotel is AMAZING. They even
gave a super late check out at no charge!
Everything was perfect.

The view of the swimming pool was good. They have the best beef samosas, good Shisa, great drinks and lovely staff. Alex needs a raise because he was lovely all through my stay, I also saw him interact with other customers and he was just as lovely. I felt uncomfortable in my first room and when I approached him he changed me ASAP! Alex is amazing!
The breakfast could have been better, there were not enough options. Seeing it's a boutique hotel and not an eco one, why was there no fridge in the room.

This place is expensive... I didn't find value for the money I have spend.... the breakfast is very poor and the manager asked me for additional 5% in dollars to pay with credit card ... in addition he didn't give me any receipts despite asking many times
Breakfast could be better ... paying facilitation should be exist ... and room service could be better
