About this villa rental
Situated in Oia, this charming villa for $1,118 per night is a great choice for your next break. Dionyssos Cave House is a recently renovated and very spacious cave house, partly carved in the volcanic rock face. It is located in Oia, on the cliff peak close to the Venetian castle, where everybody gathers to watch Oia’s famous sunset. Due to its unique location, Dionyssos Cave House offers unobstructed views of the caldera and the volcanoes and is only a 2 minutes walk away from Oia’s main street, where all the restaurants and shops are situated. Dionyssos Cave House is a two-storey house that offers the ideal comfort and privacy to a party of up to 8 guests. The first level, which is the main part of the house, offers a spacious living room, a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen that also features a Nespresso coffee maker. The two bedrooms are also situated on the first level. Each bedroom offers a double bed and an en suite bathroom. The one bedroom offers two built in couches as well, that can sleep two extra guests. Furthermore, the first level features a terrace with exquisite views over the caldera, which is the perfect spot for having meals while gazing at the view. The lower terrace also features a heated plunge pool, ideal for relaxing while admiring the dazzling sea views ( The plunge pool is not operational from November 1-March 31). The lower level terrace leads to the upper level terrace, via the exterior staircase. On the upper level there is a third independent bedroom with a double bed and en suite bathroom. This bedroom is accessed only via the exterior staircase, which is quite steep, so we wouldn't recommend the specific bedroom neither for young children, nor for elderly guests. What makes Dionyssos Cave House so unique, apart from its stunning interiors and breathtaking views, is the privacy that it offers, as there are 3 independent bedrooms each one with its own bathroom, but also a spacious living room and 2 large terraces, perfect for group gatherings. The house offers daily housekeeping service. The village of Oia is a traditional settlement and it is entirely pedestrian. The village offers a great variety of restaurants, shops, mini markets etc. Within the village, everything is in walking distance. You can explore the rest of the island either by car, bus, taxis or organized tours. There are public parking areas at the entrance of the village, but take into consideration that during high season parking can be challenging. Upon a reservation’s confirmation the host is always available for any inquiries or pre-arrival arrangements regarding transportation, excursions, special occasions, etc. Staying in one of Nicoletta’s houses, guarantees personalised and discreet service, which allows guests to unwind and have a carefree stay. Nicoletta herself or a member of her team is always available during your stay in order to assist you and ensure you are having an enjoyable holiday. (IMPORTANT: The plunge pool is not operational from November 1-March 31)

Great location, quiet but yet right in the thick of things. We had “instagram central” at the top of the stairs next to the blue domes so we could watch people posing all day, which we all found highly amusing. But the location of the property is just a few steps down so not on the busy path. Very spacious property with two single beds and one queen in both of the rooms so it’s perfect for families travelling . Also accessed via a outside set of stairs is a private room which was perfect for our teen who was sick of us by the time we got to Santorini.
Air con was great and heaven sent. Plunge pool was fabulous. Really can’t fault the property at all it had everything we needed. Perhaps some extra linens kept in the room would be nice. A blanket or two.
Our contact with the property manager was great and she arranged all our transfers with their own driver. She was easy to keep in touch with and very responsive. When you arrive there is no way you could find the property alone, so the porter on arrival was a godsend. There are a lot of stairs in Santorini keep that in mind if you struggle.
Had to use google translate in order to use the washer/ dryer as it was in German. Might need to put a guide in there for the rest of us.

Amazing trip to Santorini. Our villa was in a perfect location with an amazing view. The villa was clean and with such hot weather, the AC worked perfectly. Nicoletta and her team were very attentive to all our travel needs.

My family of four very much enjoyed our stay. The hosts were extremely helpful with all our questions and even set up reservations and excursions for us! The house was very spacious with a gorgeous view and located right in town so not too many stairs to get to shops and restaurants. Some very minor things that could help make the house even nicer is adjusting some of the loose bathroom fixtures and updating the bedding. But certainly a wonderful experience overall!!

Wonderfully charming, bright and clean cave house with spectacular views. The pictures don’t capture the dramatic and breathtaking views of the town architecture and the sea. And for being right on a popular footpath it was surprisingly quiet at night. Nicoletta and her daughter Alexandra provided white glove service- porter services and airport transport. Definitely recommend!

This property exceeded our expectations! All of the owners' descriptions and renters reviews were spot on but you just can't adequately describe this home. We greatly appreciated the assistance with our bags, the tour of the home when we arrived, the wealth of information about the island that was provided, the superior cleaning staff and all of the amenities. The location and the views were spectacular! I would recommend this property to everyone!

We LOVED our 10 day late September stay in this very special villa. It had it all - plunge pool, well-equipped kitchen, two levels, comfortable beds, 3 bedrooms and bathrooms and plenty of seating and eating areas inside and out. We loved sitting on the upper terrace for cocktails as the sun set.
Nicoletta has thought of everything! She was so helpful before and during our stay. We booked a 1/2 day private catamaran tour (plan way ahead for this) and rented a car for a day to see the rest of the island. We loved getting breakfast treats from the bakery on the main road, gelato in the evenings, and meals at many excellent restaurants. Roka and Karma were our favorites.
I cannot recommend this experience highly enough! We booked a smaller villa on our short previous trip and were thrilled with this excellent villa. Staying for 10 days gave us the opportunity to enjoy it all and become very familiar with Oia.

Absolutely Amazing!
We had the most incredible stay here! Can't say enough amazing things about the villa and how Alexandra/Philip/Nicoletta made sure everything we needed was done! They made our stay super special with all the attention to details, arranging for airport and ferry transfers, help with luggage, reservations and advice! The villa is actually really spacious and we had plenty of room for our 3 teenagers and us. Location is prime - you do get overrun a bit by cruise ship tourists in the middle of the day - but super location in Oia. As noted the outside stairs are a bit hairy but the the room on second level is great and plenty of outdoor space up there to watch the sunset. Just fantastic!

Our family of 5 had a great time staying at this condo! It was in a perfect location, short walk to the main town. The condo has amazing views - pictures don't even capture the beauty! Nicoletta and her team were fabulous to work with. They respond to questions very quickly. Nicoletta arranged airport transfers which made the trip so easy. I would highly recommend staying here while you are in beautiful Oia!

Fantastic property! Was very clean and perfect for two couples. The views feom the upper level we breathtaking! You are right in the heart of Oia and can walk for all of your needs. Crowded when the cruise ships are in port, but that is to be expected. Host was very helpful and offered timely communication.

This was a dream house! The house is impeccably clean, unique, spacious and luxuriously comfortable. The location of the house right on the caldera is literally picture perfect. The outdoor spaces felt private despite the many tourists and photo shoots around us and we loved the plunge pool. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were lovely. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to use (as was the washer/dryer). The showers, where you really feel like you are in a cave, were fun with plenty of hot water and space (even for our 6'4" son). Nicoletta and her family, the hosts have literally thought of everything. Special touches like bathrobes, slippers, toiletries, some breakfast items etc. were generous and appreciated. She arranged for us to be picked up/dropped off at the ferry and thankfully arranged for a porter to assist us with our luggage which we didn't realize we would need but since Oia has narrow, cobblestone paths with lots of steps -- it was a godsend. We were greeted by Christina, one of Nicoletta's daughters, who gave us a thorough tour of the house, some delightful history of the house and the area and personalized some of the suggestions in the welcome packet based upon our interests. This family are true hospitality experts. Housekeeping was included so we came home to a refreshed space each day. Of all the homes we stayed in during our time in Greece, this house was the one were we felt spoiled. Thank you, Nicoletta for your attentiveness and for such a lovely, spendid stay!

Prior to arrival, I was able to communicate with Nicoletta in requesting 2 vases of flowers to be on site when we arrived. They were beautiful! The house gave 3 couples all the space we needed, while offering amazing sunrise and sunset views. Upon landing, Nicoletta arranged for a transport van to take us to the property. Our driver, Chris, was FANTASTIC! We also arranged to have Chris give us a tour of the island, to which he showed us areas that are not accessible through public transportation. He also took us to the beach for the day. We enjoyed mornings on the patio with coffee to watch the sunrise, afternoons in the plunge pool, and many dinners at one of the many restaurants within walking distance. A local grocery store is only a 10 minute walk away - perfect for stocking everything you will need. Nicoletta truly made every arrangement possible for our family to enjoy a special vacation. The house had very comfortable beds, ample amenities, stunning views, all within a safe and romantic setting.

Couldn’t have picked a more beautiful home with a magnificent view. Off of the main strip in a quiet part near the majestic blue domes. Everything about this place was pure perfection. Nicolette and her daughter Alexandria were so responsive and accommodating. They welcomed my family of 5 with open arms and made special accommodations for our three young children. In the heart of Oia
This property was wonderfully located in the heart of the mountainside viewing the caldera. The vistas were magnificent. The rooms were surprisingly large and very comfortable. Our host was available to assist with our transportation and porter needs. There was a village wide power outage during our stay, but that was not anything the host could avoid. It was not an appropriate property for those with mobility limitations. If you can manage the winding steps to get through the village to the villa you will be well rewarded.
