What an unforgettable experience at Ducato Di Oia! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the level of care and service. Having someone meet us at our car to carry our luggage all the way down the steps to our room felt like such a genuine luxury and privilege—especially given the unique terrain of Oia.
Check-in was effortless, and the room itself was gorgeous. We had a private plunge pool overlooking the breathtaking Caldera views which was an incredible highlight. The room was unique and had quite a lot of charm. The staff’s communication was quick, professional, and endlessly helpful. Since our cellular plan didn't support phone calls, they gladly assisted us with ordering food delivery and happily arranged anything else we needed.
Breakfast was always delivered on time and was nice, especially when you had it with a view. The hotel is ideally situated right in the heart of Oia next to all the shopping, with stunning photo opportunities around every corner.
One of our absolute favorite aspects was the charming local cats. It is such a privilege to visit a place where the local animals are treated with genuine kindness and respect. It was a lovely reminder that Santorini is their home first and we are simply lucky guests passing through.
Thank you, Ducato Di Oia, for making our time in Santorini so special. We will treasure this stay for a long time to come!
This did not bother my partner and I in the slightest, as nature is nature but the only small thing that could bother other guests was, in the morning, there was a little bit of an ant “invasion”. They seemed to have come from the AC area. We did not have any food sitting out either… so I think they just were coming out to look. They did seem particularly drawn to the sugar packets even though those were unopened. I have video’s if you’d like, they don’t show any sort of food laying out.

The location of the hotel was excellent. A bit hard to find at the beginning but it was fine. Beds were comfortable, despite the mattresses being too big for their location and the house and pool were lovely.
It states that they have free parking. Given that they are on a cliff we expected that they would own some sort of location where we would be able to park, which wasn't the case. Their free parking means: go ahead and find some parking somewhere on the area.
We were a group of 4 and we had only 2 glasses, 2 cofee pods, 3 pillows, etc. More of those were provided on request, but I think it's not something that we would need to ask for, since the booking was for 4.
On the morning of the check out it seemed to be some sort of power issue on some sockets (i.e. fridge, aircon, stove, lights and few sockets would work but some sockets and the Wi-Fi were off)
In principle this isn't a bit issue since we could just plug items on the functional sockets, and we all had data for Internet purposes, however I received a message from reception letting us know about the breakfast and due to the outage it would be delayed. We got offered yogurts and cereal instead but since the outage wasn't full and we knew that there was some electricity, we opted for waiting for a full breakfast, and I asked for possible alternatives in case they wouldn't be able to deliver. They just said that the outage wasn't their fault. At this point there was no news about our breakfast but we kept seeing everyone around us getting cooked breakfast: freshly fried eggs, toasts, omelettes, etc... when contacted reception again she told me that those were delivered "before the outage" (I saw them being delivered, much after the power issues started). Eventually someone came with our breakfast tray, didn't even replied to our good morning (or my husband's Kalimera), just placed the tray awkwardly on the table, said: ok? And left. No reply either to the thank you and bye (we tried both in English and Greek). Overall not a massive problem, but it was handled very poorly from the reception staff (and the rudeness of the delivery person).
