About this condo rental

Nestled in Salt Lake City, this charming condo for $369 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Industrial Loft space converted to contemporary living. Central Downtown location with city views. This is NOT your avg hotel stay but more of an urban-chic experience. The building is 125 years old, exposed brick walls, 12 ft ceilings, 8 ft windows. Chic decor/design, comfortable living, a little over-the-top in some ways, but that's what makes it an experience. The wood floors creek when you walk on them. Paint is peeling on the ceiling, exposed brick walls make for dust and occasional drafts depending on the weather outside. It's hotter during summer although I do provide A/C to cool things down into the 70's. Comfy during winter as the industrial heater warms the space well. Downstairs hosts parties and weddings sometimes. It's just part of the urban community of downtown living. Again, this isn't your usual hotel or house, it's a more urban experience and meant to be unique and a break from the average rental accommodation. I don't expect it to align with everyone's tastes or preferences for accommodation. If you prefer the 5-star Hotel experience the Grand America is across the street. Staying at my Loft has a different appeal and suits a more accepting demographic who are interested in a more artsy, eclectic experience. That's what you can expect. Enjoy! 2021 is a Roaring 20’s Prohibition underground Speakeasy theme. Oak barrels, rope curtains, rusty gears, airplane propellers, hanging Edison light bulbs, wine-bottle tree, and even a cast iron bathtub in the living room. It’s all part of a party theme I pulled off earlier this year. I liked what I created, so I decided to keep it for a while. All the same comforts, just a twisted theme this year. The Loft includes a full Kitchen open to the main Living room and Dining room. Dining table seats 8 comfortably. Living Room sofa accommodates 8. There is a Billiard/TV room with leather recliners and seating for 7-8. Main Bedroom has an elevated Cal King bed surrounded by stairs (see photos) 2nd Bedroom is a revolving theme each year. 2021 is a Midnight in Paris theme thru April 2022. (See Photos) Queen bed with comfy Mother Goose reading chair, writing desk. 3rd Bedroom is actually a Loft space overlooking the Living room and is accessed by ladder in the Garden/Reading room. It is exposed to the Paris room so those spaces are only semi-private rooms. There is only one bathroom in the Loft. Baby Grand Player Piano makes for a splendid ambiance as it plays various classical, jazz, and easy listening music at your pleasure. It’s my new Baby so please be good to it. Bluetooth accessible speakers accommodate a more jovial music when the occasion calls for it. I don’t really have neighbors, so enjoy your sound. WiFi provided. Xfinity Cable, Netflix, HBOMax, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Etc. Inflatable Mattress with sheets and pillows available upon request to accommodate as needed. Parties or events are not allowed at this time. (If you host an unauthorized party or event you risk being excused from the property early without a refund, will forfeit the whole deposit, and I will charge for any/all damage as well as additional cleaning as needed.) Understand that this is my home, not a hotel. I live here and enjoy making art in my own space. It will be clean for guests, and plenty of fresh linens!, but it will not be ‘spotless’. Feel free to enjoy comfortably and don’t leave me a review that you found a ‘hair’ somewhere, or that something was dusty. My Loft is more of an artistic expression than it is a sanitary hotel room. If you choose to book my space it means you’re willing to roll w it. Some Rules & Insights to be aware of: Guests CAN do dishes but not required. Just rinse them and leave in the sink or dishwasher. Some dishes are specific on how to clean them. I'll happily handle that. There is an ‘additional guest fee’ for over 4 guests. Please be sure you include all guests when booking as I will charge appropriately. Leave sheets and bedding on beds, I'll have them changed. Leave used towels on shower floor in bathroom. Leave garbage in cans, I’ll have it taken out. Bar is 'open' but not really meant to be a free-for-all buffet. Enjoy some drinks, beers, and/or bottles of wine if you'd like but please replenish with replacement bottles when you leave so I don't have to charge guests for consuming my alcohol stash and not contributing. If you empty a bottle, replace it with something you think I might like. Coffee, Sodas, Powerade, and candy in the fridge are for my guests to enjoy within reason. Same with condiments and other items found in the fridge, pantry, and freezer. Enjoy as my Guest! Parking is specific since there are several businesses in the area. Park anywhere in the courtyard behind Decades but NOT in the 3 spaces reserved for Decades. Anywhere else that does not block the alleyways or dumpsters is good. Additional parking is allowed in the ‘BNA’ lot in the back. Ask me for further info as needed. No parties or unauthorized gatherings are allowed without my previous consent. If an unauthorized party is thrown and/or guests cause me issues with my neighbors I will retain the full deposit as liquidated damages. Don’t host any gathering without running it by me first. I can’t stress this enough! Occasionally there are events , weddings, parties thrown in the space directly beneath my Loft. It is a separate business and I cannot control their schedules or bookings. They usually end by 10 PM but occasionally go later. I will do everything I can to warn guests in advance if there will be a noise event below, but in some cases it is out of my control. By booking, Guests accept this as a possibility and will hold me harmless of noise issues outside of my control. It’s all part of ‘downtown urban living’ and guests acknowledge the possibility of occasional noise.

There is nowhere like this place in Utah, and likely rivals any other spot in the country. What a delight.

In town for a weekend to attend a college graduation and saw this gem of a listing. Lots of space, creatively artistic touches everywhere, and just an enjoyable place to hang out. Fully stocked "take some, leave some" drinks between the bar and soda+candy-stocked fridge. Player piano for ambiance. My teenage girls loved the bedroom and loft setup and all the greenery around it. Master bedroom was a pleasant retreat. The outside temperature was over 100 but the 3 window A/C units kept the temperature tolerable even during the heat of the day, and nice and cool in the evenings and morning. Would most definitely (and want to) stay here again if I'm ever in town again.

We have stayed in so many places that always seem to meet our basic needs in the most simplistic of ways.... This loft met way more than the basic need of a place to lay your head and a simple kitchen. The entire place was exceptional in all ways!! So quirky, fun and full of color! Upon our Christmas Eve arrival we were greeted with fresh baked cookies and the piano was playing Christmas music in a magical display of lights, color and sound! The first 45 minutes our group of six just wandered around in awe of all of the sights, decorations and flair in the owner has put into every inch of the space! The pool table was a hit with our adult children who spent several hours during our time there laughing and bonding around it. Fantastic movie setup if desired, we only squeezed in one film, but being The Goonies was found in the collection, it was a must watch!! Very large table in the middle of everything the loft had to offer provided us hours of family chatting, card and board playing and laughter of just being around it together. The kitchen was very well supplied and everything was well placed and easily accessible. Our host had stocked the massive refrigerator with sodas water and candy for our enjoyment! Along with any condiments or other items I think anyone could ever need!! This was really appreciated as our rental car reservation was botched by the company and we arrived later than hoped. Being Christmas Eve there were not many options for shopping!! I love that the host checked in with us immediately after booking, asking if there was anything he could do to ensure a great stay, he remained in touch and answered any texts we sent with questions or blunders, on our part, with the utmost pleasantness and professionalism! We walked to various locations around the downtown area as the loft was very well located and we always felt safe and secure! Being guests over the weekend of a holiday season the venue downstairs did host parties which we heard. For us, the music was fun and provided a party like environment for us as well. Both events ended quite early and did not cause disruption into any sleeping time! I agree, wholeheartedly, that that experience was just as it was listed in the hosts description as being a wonderful addition to the downtown loft experience!! We enjoyed browsing the vintage thrift store downstairs as well! Highly recommend this loft, could not review it any higher!! Just awesome! The Ealand Family will be back!!
