A few quirks to be expected due to age of building, but a fair trade off for the great location, view and cost. A/C much appreciated during the first week. Loved looking out the bedroom window at the beautiful view!

We came to Florence for our daughter’s wedding (our first time in Italy). We had quite an exhausting day of travel, delays, broken luggage, and more. From the start communication with Giusi was excellent. She was so kind to let us check in a little early (we were so appreciative). Valentina waited for us at the apartment and was so patient as we got lost trying to find it (our fault for being so unfamiliar and intimidated by the driving). The apartment is in a beautiful building, it’s got all the amenities you could need. It is so close to everything. The upstairs bedroom and its view from the window is breathtaking. Both Valentina and Giusi continued to be available when we had any questions. When another family member lost her accommodations after her plane was delayed, Giusi was kind enough to understand our need to let the family member stay with us. Having such a great place to stay, so close to everything made our time in Florence so wonderful. We would absolutely come back. Grazie Giusi!!

This apartment was huge! We were so surprised when we walked in. Great communication and even a check in as I had messaged saying we were on the way and then got distracted by the pretty sights and didn't show up as quickly as expected lol. Very quick responses with any questions we had. And it was lovely to have two separate bathrooms with showers.

Overall this was a good place to stay in Santa Croce. The bedroom is the highlight of the apartment with a lovely view and the sounds of the Arno. You have to go up a narrow staircase to get to the bedroom. The kitchen, dining room, and living room are smaller than they appear in the photos with low ceilings and not a lot of natural light so I spent all my time in the bedroom. It's an easy walk to the other areas and this is quieter than other areas which I appreciated. Things like towels to dry dishes were missing and there was a supermarket close by but those small things would have been nice to have. The hosts were helpful in booking me a taxi to the airport. I would stay here again.

Our stay could not have been nicer and in an excellent location right on the Arno. We were just a few minutes walk to the Uffizi Gallery and the Piazza della Signoria. My friend and I always felt safe, even walking at midnight. Giusi's apartment was clean and comfortable, with plenty of room for the two of us. I would love to stay here again!

delightful appartement
The appartement is a gem. Its position in the proximity of Santa Croce is very convenient. The master bedroom is very beautiful and big, with a view over Arno. The owner is very helpful and responds quickly. We were there at the end of November and the heating worked very well. In sum, I would warmly recomend the appartment, especially for people who are searching for something special for a reasonable price.

One bedroom overlooking the Arno was beautiful as shown in the picture, the other bedroom had two small twin beds, almost cots, and was uncomfortable for my friends who were with us. Otherwise, the apartment was very nice and within walking distance of all the sights. Except for the one bedroom, we were very satisfied

This is in a great location close to all sights. Upstairs shower didn’t have much warm water. Well stocked and very quiet for sleeping. We felt very safe there.

Beware of lack of hot water!
We loved the building and proximity to sites and dining. The VRBO was beautiful and spacious. However, hot water is not guaranteed in any of the VRBOs we stayed at in Italy. Get used to cold showers! I would definitely stay here again!

We fell in love with Florence and our apartment in Santa Croce was perfectly located. The apartment is unique, spacious, clean, and well appointed. Other reviews mention that it is quite dark which is true, and the bed is very, very firm. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks to Giusi for being a helpful host.

Nice location, BUT dark and tired
Nice check-in and lovely view of the Arno through the only window that allows light!
Location great for access to town centre.
However, we have several criticisms of this relatively up-market apartment:
- overall a gloomy, low ceiling, musty, poorly ventilated apartment.
- no towels left out
- no mosquito screens on windows
- no cooking knives
- shower continuously drips
- other shower badly mildewed
- light fell off wall
- dishwasher buttons broken
- fridge door missing compartment
- single bed mattresses are pretty bad
Overall apartment was simply tired, dark and uninviting. Would not recommend.

Beware ! There is NO hand soap at this place, in either bathroom. We had to bring dish soap for the kitchen. You cannot call the owner or manager. They gave us a wrong number.

Great property. Great location
We had a wonderful stay. The property is perfectly located, clean and well equipped. The furniture is a bit different than the photos, and it is a two bedroom apartment with two single beds in the downstairs room - perfect for our family with two grown sons. The upstairs suite is beautiful with a view of the river.
We’d definitely stay here again.

Off the beaten path
This is a charming property, right on the river, and away from, but accessible to, all the sites of central Florence. I have never slept beneath a ceiling fresco before! The host was most helpful.

Perfect Location & Flat with Teens
Traveled to Florence by train with my teen daughters and we loved this location and flat. It is in a beautiful, historic and charming building with an amazing location right on the Arno. It had plenty of room for us and was a great starting point for all of our outings. The apartment manager was very apologetic that the flat was not ready upon our arrival because of an issue with the previous guests but it was all handled very well and he was helpful to get us situated. We were also traveling for a week with very little luggage so appreciated the washing machine too!

We stayed over night in this lovely apartment. It is an easy walk from the Rome Termini. It made for a super easy departure to the airport early in the morning.

Great apartment for a stay in Florence! We are Americans who were backpacking and camping around Europe. We decided to stay in an apartment in Florence for a break from camping. Guisis place is really nicely situated, and has a lot of nice features. The washing machine is hard to figure out, but very helpful! The fridge was nice for chilling off that bottle of Prosecco! We enjoyed playing cards at the dining table in the evenings. Very nice, comfortable beds. The only small complaint was that there was an ant problem in the kitchen. I would highly recommend the apartment. It was very reasonable, too, for such a large and nicely appointment place! Dont hesitate on this one!

Our family had a return visit to Firenze, one of our favorite walkable cities in Italy. Guisi is a lovely hostess; she met us at the apartment right away and acquainted us with the layout and amenities, and it was very clean. The comfortable bed with a view over the Arno is just what you want to come home to after a day of walking in town. There is so much to see in Firenze where do I start? The Medici Chapel is one of my favorites with stunning and vivid paintings of the procession of the Magi and accompanied animals. The David never ceases to amaze, as well as the additional paintings and sculptures, also there is a great shoe store across from the entrance. We all enjoyed the sunsets at Ponte Vecchio, the Baptistry doors at the Duomo and our daughters riding the Segways around town. We had already toured the Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore; if you go to see the dome I recommend reading beforehand, 'Brunelleschi's Dome' by Ross King....and of course, staying at Guisi's place!
