Perfect house and location. More space than we would need. Comfortable everything.

We stayed here for a wedding, and it was incredibly convenient to be close to the major roads so that we could get to and from all our various spread out events.
The house had lots of space for family and it was easy to find and park. All the rooms were cute and there were plenty of towels and blankets etc, and they even left chocolates for the kids!
We only had one question and when we asked we got a response right away. Definitely an easy stay.

A wonderful atmosphere, lovely touches, such as Holiday decorations. It was lovely, warm and very welcoming. Carol was super pleasant and responsive.

This VRBO fit all our needs. Beautiful antique decor throughout house. Well stocked kitchen, plates, silverware and surprises from property management that was very welcoming after a 5 hour long drive. Carole was very sweet and attentive to my questions, she gave me a call each time. All the bedrooms were very comfortable to sleep in. The only circumstance that we noticed is the street the house on is very busy with cars during the day but does quiet down in the evening and night. Making for a very relaxing sitting on the wrap around porch. I enjoyed everything about my VRBO. Thank you Carole.

The house was perfect for our trip. Location is just south of Eureka only a minute off the 101. Cool old house with everything you need. My granddaughter loved the horses next door. Would stay here again.

Excellent place to stay. No homeless around. Nice fenced front yard. Love it being an old house that has been taken care of. Did wish a bedroom was downstairs, but over all a great place

Wonderful historic home. We loved reading about the history of the home and the family that built it. Great ocean/sunset views on the second story.
The linens and the kitchen were well stocked. The weather was so nice that the house always felt “just right” (not too hot, not too cold). It was a great place to stay for our adventures in Redwood Park. We really enjoyed our time here!

Great stay at a nice old classic home.
The property and the management were great. Nice cozy home with no surprises. As mentioned in another review, the outside traffic is more than desired, but not distracting when inside. Definitely recommend this property.

The floors creek with age, front porch was a little buoyant near the front door, but that just adds to charm of the house in my opinion. Had fun discovering little things around the house that gave clues to what the house must of been like when the family who built it lived there. The beds were not supper comfy, but then I have an orthopedic bed at home, so I am hard to please. Overall great house!!!

HSU Graduation
This was the perfect home and property for our family’s visit to the area. We had family from as far away as Nebraska. We were there to see our son graduate from HSU. It was a short drive to Arcata, and the perfect home to host a luncheon following the ceremony. We were hoping to use the beautiful yard, but the weather had other plans for us....thank goodness for the spacious dining area.

Great location for touring Northern California Coast area
Wonderful house for our families. Comfortably sleeps eight upstairs and very nice living space downstairs. Centrally located to see multiple Redwood groves and other sites in Ferndale, Eureka, etc.

It feels like home.
We absolutely loved our stay. Having such a nice home was great for seeing family. Their house wasn't big enough to have us all there but this was perfect to entertain. Bbq in the yard on the picnic tables. We didn't even leave the the house for one of the day we were here. The only thing that would make it better would be some board games. Thanks for an amazing weekend in Eureka!

Old country charm and brand new amenities!
My brother, sister, and I were in town for my daughters graduation from CSU Humboldt. This is my first time renting a house (vs hotel) and it was a great choice. We are all 'seasoned' (read, getting old, Ha!) adults with discerning tastes and certain expectations - which were all met or surpassed with this property.
This house has has old country charm and brand new amenities. It truly is as nice as the photos or better. Everything in the house was either brand new or in like new condition. It seems as though the house was recently renovated and painted from top to bottom as it was immaculate and the color choices were modern and pleasing.
To be fair the street it is on is busy and you can hear traffic noise but not enough to dampen my spirits or hinder my sleep.
I only wish I had more family with me and a little longer to enjoy the property.
