Great! Every time I go to Bangkok I usually stay at the Sawatdee Guest House The Original.

I'd tried all 3 guest houses adjacent to each other and ended up staying at Sawatdee 4 times in the grnd floor AC rooms over a 2 month period. Clean, more modern decor than it's neighbors, spacious great A/C and shower, attached bathroom.
Excellent location with 7/11 over the road, beautiful temple complex nearby that is so tranquil to visit day or night...wet market nearby to buy Thai cooking ingredients, close to the river in an authentic, vibrant yet chill neighborhood. 6 min walk to the Thewet river boat pier fr easy access to Wat Po, Grand Palace, Chinatown and Sathorn Skytrain station further downriver. Excellent coffee and breakfast and had an amazing red curry in the cafe/restaurant section.
Felt like home eventually and will always stay here when in BKK.
At this price point and my needs a solid 10/10
