Situated on the land his Great Grandmother bought in 1930, Owner Dustin Spurrell has recreated a vacation home that has been said to be the best kept secret around. This classic but modern Newfoundland cottage offers breathtaking views of the ocean and rugged coastline and provides the possibility of majestic encounters with icebergs, whales and eagles right from your front door. Truly an authentic Newfoundland experience your family will remember forever. This cottage-style vacation home is situated amongst century old fishing stages that provide a glimpse into Newfoundland's past and times gone by. Imagine being able to relax and fall to sleep to the gentle sounds of the ocean rolling onto the beach. At Spurrell's Heritage Home this is a possibility in every room. Experience Newfoundland and spend your vacation at Spurrell's Heritage Home. Located just 5 minutes away from the Historic Town of Trinity and 20 minutes away from The View Golf Resort. Things To Do In Trinity Bright Trinity Bight offers many great tourist friendly activities that help you enjoy a truly authentic east coast vacation. Some activities include: -going to the theatre, boat tours, fine dining, golf, hiking, skiing, fishing and visiting the many historical sites and light houses. This reservation has a Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 30 days prior to the check in date. A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 30 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 14 to 29 days before check-in. No refunds are provided for travellers cancelling less than 14 days prior to check-in. CanadaStays Booking Fees are refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of placing your booking request. Our house rules: no smoking, no parties or events, no pets. Paypal/Visa/MasterCard 100% Deposit Required with Reservation For cancellations prior to 30 days, a full refund will be given. Cancellations less then 30 days will be subject to a service fee. Week Rentals Start and End on Friday Check Out Time = 11:00am Check In Time = 3:00pm Discounted Car Rental Rates when you book with us. Minimum 2-3 night reservations required for Holiday weekends.

This house is amazing! It is tucked away in a quiet cove. It was clean, decorated to preserve the history, well furnished, and in a perfect spot for visiting Trinity, Elliston and Bonavista. We loved whale watching from the patio in the evenings.

Incredible cottage right on the bay. Comfortable and well stocked kitchen. Minke and Humpback whales were in the bay for 2 hours Tuesday night. Icebergs just minutes away. Puffins and more less than one hour away.

We stayed here for a week. The house has all the amenities that we needed. It has a very comfortable feel to it and we spent many relaxing hours just sitting and watching the view.
The host Dustin was friendly and easy to deal with. The house was easy to find and a short drive to Trinity. The TV has Netflix. There are board games etc and books to read. Plenty of tea , coffee and sugar, as well as spices.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Quiet, peaceful location with cabin on a small cove (private). You can watch the ocean while sitting around the fire pit and enjoy the sound of the waves. Cabin very clean and wifi is excellent. No cell phone reception so enjoy the quiet.

This is a great house - full of the history of its surroundings. It is a little remote but that is a good thing as it overlooks a peaceful and beautiful cove. The comings and goings of the local fishermen add to the flavour and experience. We have never before stayed in such a well equipped rental. Thanks Dustin!

It was the perfect home away from home. It was tucked away in a beautiful, isolated cove surrounded by rocky walls. There was an incredible view of it out of EVERY window. We loved the old salt box style. Felt like we were stepping back in time from the outside with every convenience and comfort you’d need on the inside. Wished we could have stayed all summer! Trinity is just minutes away as is the beautiful lighthouse...had no idea we could drive right up to it by just continuing on the road to our place in Dunfield.

We absolutely loved staying at this cottage. The view from ever window is pure, spectacular ocean and the sound of the waves can’t be beat. It is a short drive to so many things. Dustin has thought of everything you could want in a rental home. We can’t wait to return to this slice of paradise!

It was if anything even better than we expected! The home was very nicely done, maintained, attractive and comfortable. The location was fabulous. We felt like we had an entire cove to ourselves and could have just stayed there for the whole time...not go anywhere else. But there were to many awesome things to see and do on the peninsula. Wished we would have stayed a lot longer! We expect to be back!

We loved watching and listening to the sea (just a few feet away) from this historic property. It was a good base for touring the Bonavista peninsula and we were lucky enough to see several icebergs from the Cape. The house was well equipped and very comfortable, ideal for our two night stay.
