The Cider House, formerly Foggy Ridge Cider's award winning production facility, is now available as a newly renovated sleek modern vacation rental less than 25 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, music in Floyd, VA, the New river, and area wineries. WiFi is newly available. The Cider House is on a 250 acre farm with walking paths and long views available to guests, a rare amenity for this area.
On the farm walk to a trout stream, explore the orchards, watch wildlife, and hike up Carrie's Hill for along view. The property includes mown trails for long hikes or short walks, all in a beautiful secluded rural mountain setting.
The large airy King Bedroom has a contemporary four poster bed. A carpeted bunk bed bedroom sleeps two. The main living area, the former fermentation room for the cidery, is a modern urban-inspired open space with new full service kitchen, seating area with TV (for playing movies from your laptop) and dining area that seats four. Starlink WiFi is available.
The former crush pad is a covered patio with a gas grill and an outdoor high top dining and sofa seating areas. This unique property is next to one of Foggy Ridge Cider's heirloom cider apple orchards, a short walk to Laurel Fork Creek, a stocked trout stream, and near Floyd Fest, the Hillsville Flea Markets, Yoga Jam, Primland, the Blue Ridge Parkway, biking on the New River Trail, and the town of Floyd, VA. Verizon cell service is the best connection in the area though most of the county is covered by other providers.

Orchard is beautiful. Appreciate the framed photos, awards and magazine articles hung around the home. Creative use of space too. Outdoor patio is an ideal spot for enjoying the weather. Not as private as I expected—right off the main road and while traffic is little, I thought I’d be more tucked away.
