Lovely stay in a lovely village

Location and comfortable stay.

Cobwebs, sofas very dust in buttonholes, earring left in bedroom windowsill (cleaner not see it??), bottle cleaner pipe found on stairs on arrival so not a great first impression of cleanliness.

Wouldn't stay again

The flat was nice, and very central on a flat road. WIFI worked, the windows are double glazed which helped with the road noise. Holmfirth is lovely and the surround areas are amazing to explore

Elderly guest struggled with the two flights of very steep stairs and could not get into the bath for a shower. Dog had no outside area so had to be taken out to the park in the rain every time, nowhere to pull in to unload/load the car as the property is on a busy double bend with double yellows and the property was very hard to find as there is no sign or number on the door and it is tucked away. Microwave a faff to work out, no welcome pack like most places, and the heating wasn't on and there were no instructions for it. Double beds are two singles pushed together to a ridge down the middle making them uncomfortable. No wardrobes, and only three hangers for clothes per person.

tile broken in kitchen and no hand towels in the bathroom. But towels were provided for showering.

Cosy cottage

Very cosy cottage with two good sized bedrooms so perfect for our needs. Nice kitchen and tastefully decorated. Central location with very easy access to all Holmfirths amenities.

Fabulous apartment with great location

Gorgeous apartment, had everything we needed & was a home from home. Location was great and very central. We had a lovely time & will definitely come back.

Brilliant

Great communications. Kept informed. Received a welcome text from owner before arrival. Loved the buzz of Holmfirth. The property was right bang in the middle of town. Perfect location. And coffee shops so cheap compared to home.

Rotcher Cottage stay

Great location. Very well presented property. Liked being able to watch people going about their business from the comfort of the sofa.

Breakfast bar and stools. Would prefer lower table and chairs. Freezer needs defrosting. Couldn't put anything in it. Better clothes hangers or wardrobe needed. Plenty space for one.

A weekend in Holmfirth

Nice place to stay...Great for the town and what we came to see. Compos museum...fantastic and great countryside.

Parking was a fair distance away in a public car park. You need to book well in advance for everything including the wine tour .

Good price

Parking isn't available in nearby roads as advertised. Nearby roads have parking restrictions and double yellow lines. Nearest available parking was up a steep hill, over a 5 minute walk away. Immediately above a wine bar which is noisy when the customers leave late at night.

The location was spot on. The rooms were very comfy. Everything you needed really, home from home.

My elderly mother struggled with the stairs as there is no bannister. We can't go back because of this and that's the only reason for not booking again.

Superb

The location. The high quality finish of the entire cottage, facilities and the little extras. Warm & cosy. Ideally situated so you can pop to the shops or local restaurants.

Practically perfect. The only negative is the lack of parking. Holmfirth isn't an easy place to find a car parking space and this cottage is no exception.

Really lovely place - instantly felt relaxed and comfortable.

Really lovely place. V good kitchen, lounge, bedrooms and bathroom. Everything you need and a lovely welcome basket when we arrived. Very handy for local shops, pubs and restaurants. Very cosy and clean. Very helpful hosts when we asked to stay an extra night as well. Ideal!

Parking is tricky and it would be helpful, when we were sent directions, to say that the flat is between the cobblers' shop and Oscar's wine bar. Would recommend talking to the cobbler as he has excellent tips for parking!

living the dream .

perfectly situated attached to a cocktail bar nothing better , lovely window seats to people watch and plan your day , warm comfortable spotlessly clean decorated with very good taste and what better recomendation than booking for next year .

nothing better than perfect , what we all didnt like is food and drink festival was cancelled but we still come for this weekend every year , so weve booked this slice of heaven for next year .
