Situated in Saint Georges Basin, this attractive house for $286 per night is a great option for your next trip. St Georges Basin Waterfront Reserve Charming 4 bedroom cedar home with views of St Georges Basin. Named 'Halcyon' because it offers a serene country escape and the only noise you will hear are kangaroos hopping past and the gentle lapping of waves. The house is designed for relaxation and laughter, with open plan living downstairs complete with a wood fire for the cooler months. Step out from the comfortable living area to a large protected veranda with 180 degree water views, plenty of seating, plus a separate outdoor setting with BBQ. There are 3 bedrooms downstairs - bedrooms 2 & 3 are connected with a sliding door. Bedrooms 1 & 2 both have TV's. Main bathroom plus laundry has a 3rd shower and toilet + half bath. The upstairs loft includes a main bedroom and ensuite with a separate sitting area of comfy leather couches and a TV. There is a private staircase behind the house leading directly to the water and from there you are connected to several wonderful walks to beaches and coastal areas, including the waterfront walk from Palm Beach to St Georges Basin. Feel free to borrow our lovely red canoe and go paddling in the serene waters of the Basin. Peaceful location on St Georges Basin. Access by track at front of property to waterfront. Or sit around the wood fire in the back yard. Enjoy the waterfront walk from Palm Beach to St Georges Basin. High Chair. Garage is not available. Pets Strictly No pets allowed - please contact us for a list of pet friendly options Linen Linen is not provided - please bring sheets, pillow cases, bath towels, bath mats, hand towels and beach towels. Linen Hire available on request. Halcyon on the Basin is not services. We do provide a complimentary supply of toilet paper, mini soaps. tea, coffee and coffee pods for arrival. These items are not supplied for your entire stay.

We have booked many places with Stayz in the past. This place had no hairdryer. Many people leave items that are a necessity like salt and pepper, paper towel etc. we do carry our own but it is handy to have a few items that are needed. It was also a long walk downhill to the water. I think Linen should be part of the service. We still enjoyed our stay there.

lovely place to stay
The waterfront is lovely. I grew up in Erowal Bay in a similar water frontage. My grandchildren, between 4 & 6 were a little worried about walking in the weeds and thick sand but after a while loved the feeling under their feet and exploring the water. The house fitted our whole family of 10 well. Thank you

Lovely warm log cabin feel with heaps of space.
Really enjoyed my stay at Halcyon. Beautiful view. Rained a lot during our stay so I was great that there was a fire place and an abundance of fire wood. We are already thinking about staying again in the future

Beautiful winter holiday house
The house and the view is beautiful. It was clean with lots of space. however pillows and quilts were very old. We were told to take our own sheet, pillow and quilt covers. The house was smell musty and humidity . Maybe because all the doors and windows were closed for a long time and the couch was too old and smelly too. Also there was only one kitchen cloth for cleaning and we had only 4 dishwasher tablets for 10 people 2 night stay. In general we enjoyed our stay .

A relaxing trip away
The house was beautiful and relaxing, close to shops and the national.park for day trips so there was never a dull moment. It's a great place to get away to, whilst still being reasonably close to Sydney.

We had a lovely stay. Upstairs area was private and virtually self contained. Bedrooms had a tv, although we didn't use them. View was spectacular.

Relaxed Getaway
The property was clean, spacious, in a great location with a wonderful view from the balcony. My kids enjoyed using the canoe and playing in the backyard. Jenny was easy to contact and helpful. Great place to spend time with family.

If you want relaxing time off With your family then this place is the best. House is beautiful with its uniqueness. Its cosy, peaceful and is just perfect for a family. Fireplace is the highlight if you are staying in the winter. House is just meters away from water. House presents all the needed amenities for a comfortable stay. Only one feedback I have is, we missed the quilt. Since we stayed in winter and none of the rooms had quilts. Lots of blankets were in the cupboard for use but no Quilts. Other than this, best place to stay with your family. Highly recommend.

Sweet cottage lovely location would have like access to the under part of house as the pipe work was blocked and we tried to unblock it .
Otherwise love feeding the parrots and the whole setting .

Perfect location!!
We stayed here with our young kids and some friends with their young kids. The house was plenty big enough for us all. We sat out on the back deck and it was so relaxing overlooking St Georges Basin. The water was crystal clear and its a short walk down the steps to the basin. Kids swam all day, the water was so clear and the kids could walk out about 500m and the water remained only waste deep. The canoe is heaps of fun. We made good use of it. The house has everything you could ask for. Possums came up to the back deck on one night and we saw a kookaburra who kept coming back. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

A South Coast gem
I've stayed here a few times now and it's always fantastic. The location is perfect, literally right on the water so it feels like having a giant private pool. When I've come in summer we always use the free canoe and spend loads of time in the water. It was a bit colder on my most recent visit so we did lots of beach walks instead, checked out the local markets and had barbeques at home. My favourite time is always breakfast on the balcony overlooking the water. There's often kangaroos chilling out in the backyard. Often when the weather in nearby Huskisson/Vincentia is unpleasant, the weather and water in St George's Basin is nice and calm which is a bonus.

A South Coast gem
I've stayed in this house a few times now and absolutely love it. It's in the perfect location, private but with instant access to the water. We always eat breakfast on the deck, overlooking the water and often there are kangaroos lazing in the backyard and native birds eating seed off the deck. We always use the free canoe in summer, and do all the usual water activities like fishing and swimming. My most recent trip was in April and it was a bit too cold to swim but we still enjoyed walks along the many nearby beaches, went to the local markets, had barbeques and got cosy toasting marshmallows in front of the fire. I've noticed that when the weather is terrible and water is choppy around Huskisson/Vincentia, it's always calm in St. George's Basin which is a bonus.
