Even though this cottage wasn’t perfect, it was a great deal especially for staying on Kiawah minutes from everything including the beach. Vacasa was extremely attentive and wonderful to work with. They even took the time to drop off a thoughtful 80th birthday gift for my dad who we rented the property for! Such a nice touch :)

The property was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The weather was nice and it would have been nice to have chairs on the porch. Otherwise, we were satisfied with the property.

The property was not what we expected. The pictures of the outside were extremely misleading. We were expecting to have the marsh outside our back door. Instead, we were packed into a neighborhood with houses right on top of each other and no back yard. When we arrived, we found that there were no sheets for the hideaway bed. We called the office and were very rudely told that they would “put in a ticket” but did not know if they could reach anyone. There were no maps of the island in the house and we were told to come to the office to pick one up. We went to the office and were told they did not have any. The next afternoon, we discovered the refrigerator was not working. We called the office and were told that they would “put in a ticket”, but doubted they could get anyone out there on the holiday weekend. They had a new refrigerator due to come in 3 days after we left. They clearly knew the appliance was out and didn’t bother to tell us. They had brought a mini refrigerator out, but we thought it was extra. Half of our food was ruined. Then we had to purchase ice everyday for coolers. We were charged $xxx per night for 4 nights. And an additional $xxx for additional services and service fees. We did not receive additional services or service at all. I want a refund for all service fees and additional services. I also want compensation for the house not having a full sized refrigerator. The management company, Vacasa, did not manage anything.

We were looking for a sweet getaway spot to take our family to the beach. Loved the location and neighborhood but especially the proximity to the beach. Interior needs some love/upgrades. Fridge broke during our stay so all our groceries went bad. Other appliances are outdated as well and kitchen equipment (pans/pots, utensils, etc.) can get an overhaul for sure. Other than that liked the place a lot.

We've never stayed in this part of the island and we've been coming to Kiawah over the past 32 years. It was beautiful and gave us a different view which we loved! We were moved because the place were we originally rented was being worked on. It was a very beautiful area and we certainly enjoyed the Kiawah River and the sun sets as well as the close proximity to the beach and walking all the way to the inlet at low tide! I would say that was my favorite view and we did it many times over the two weeks we stayed here. We also enjoyed the hours of bike riding too! I would recommend some bug spray on your legs and ankles because the flies and mosquitoes are biting but the bug spray helped tremendously! We were amazed at how quiet this area is and how peaceful it was while we were here. We met some neighbors who owned their property across the street from us and found out they were from the same area we are from. The people in the neighborhood were very friendly and it felt like a little slice of home as well! Vacasa was very attentive to any and all questions or concerns that we had leading up to our stay or if we had a questions regarding anything while we stayed here. They were very prompt in returning any texts that I sent. We had everything we needed at this location, however the reason I gave it a four star instead of a five star is because we thought the place was a bit dated with exception to the kitchen area. I did decide to buy my own skillet at the store because every one of the skillets in the kitchen were in very poor condition and in my opinion should be thrown away. With many things we used in the kitchen from utensils to plates to glasses, they were not cleaned well, some were greasy or had old food left on them, so we washed everything we used before hand. We thought the shared bathroom and shower as well as the toilet-shower area in the master bedroom were dated. The window treatments that goes out to the back porch area were awkward and difficult to open and close; we just kept them closed the whole time which left it pretty dark inside the unit. These were not issues we felt we needed to call and complain about while we stayed, these were just our observations. Like I said, we had everything we needed but for the money we spent compared to other places of similar value we have stayed at through the years we thought this place could use some updates and changes. We would highly recommend this area to anyone and if there were some updates to this unit we would gladly stay here again.

Close proximity to beach was a real plus, The refrigerator microwave and master shower head were amazing! Dining chairs were not very sturdy and one has a leg that is about to break off, Key entry to front door was really a challenge! It would be very nice if there was a regular grill for use. The small bubba grill was not safe and should be discarded.. We rented both 70 and 75 Inlet cove. Both could use a remodel of the second bathroom. We had a wonderful family reunion time. has been 10 years since we came to Kiawah. Used to come every year to Inlet cove when kids were little.

The house is nestled in. Nice area of the inlet cove close to the crabbing dock and the beach. The house is nicely decorated. It says it can sleep 8 but the open up sofa’s mattress is old and too flimsy, so we bought an air mattress for the kids. The house needs a deep cleaning as the fans and the top of the fridge as well as the window sills has a thick caked in dust. The sheet in the open up sofa bed had cereal and crackers stuck inside from prior renters. The kitchen lacked silverware and other equipment. The back balcony’s gutters were full of leaves and stuff growing inside. There was one recycling bin outside which was not sufficient. The fridge and appliance were working condition but hardly. Would not stay at this place again.
