About this house rental
Located in Selfoss, this attractive house for $174 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. The house offers 3 bedrooms with double beds, a livingroom, a bathroom (with shower, toilet and washing machine and dryer) and a fully equiped kitchen. The master bedroom has a double bed (180 x 200). The second and third bedroom has a 2 times 90x200 connected to eachother but also can be used as single bed. In the livingroom there is: - a desk available as working space. - WiFi is included in the rent. - Smart TV with internet access. - The TV features 9 foreign channels (a. O. DR1, SVT1, NRK1, BBC Brit, Sky News, France 24, Boomerang, VH1 and National Geographic). - Blue Ray Player (for CD, DVD and Blue Ray DVD). The kitchen provides a microwave oven, a normal oven, a dishwasher, coffeemachine, water boiler, toaster and fridge with freezer. The dining table is situated in the living room area, near the kitchen. The house is completely new (delivered November 2017 and has a completely new interior. For families traveling with babies a cot and childseat for the dining table is available for free. Please let us know that a baby will join you on your trip. In addition to the house it is also possible to rent our car. It concerns a Hyundai Tucson 4x4. The car offers space for 5 persons and has enough luggagespace. The daily rentalcosts are € 90. Sent us an e-mail for more information. Guest Access All areas specified above can be used by guests. For guests arriving by car 2 parking places are available in front of the house. Interaction with Guests We are not living in Iceland, but if you send us an e-mail, we will arrange the caretaker of the house to contact you for further assistance. Upon arrival a starting kit containing some cleaning cloths will be available. All other things for cleaning will be provided by washing detergent, tablet for the dishwasher, etc. Also the bed linen and towels are included. The Neighborhood Selfoss is a town with approx. 6. 000 inhabitants. It is situated between Reykjavik and all major wonders in the south. The town offers a couple of supermarkets, fast food restaurants (KFC, Domino's), swimming pool, ATM machine, bank. In case of emergency hospital, dentist and doctor are available in the village. There is a good bus service from and to Reykjavik. The costs of a ticket amount approx. ISK 1. 600 (EUR 13). Also busservices to other areas leave from Selfoss. Getting Around The home is a good base for exploring the natural wonders along the south coast of Iceland (for example Geysir, Blue Lagoon, Landmannalaugar, Vik, Thorsmork, etc). We can advice you on a 4x4 car or normal car to rent for the holiday period. Guest wanting to go horseback riding we can advice to go to Hveragerdi (approx 10 min from the home) or Selfoss. If you want a recommondation about a good horsebackriding company please let us know. A book with pictures and suggestions for daytours is available in the house, together with leaflets or interesting places to visit or things to do. Other Things to Note On request we can help you plan your trip to Iceland before arrival. With this service you can enjoy your trip to the fullest. We have traveled to Iceland many times (about 20 times) and we know some local people, so we can advice you to visit your own wishes. House Rules - Guests are required to use the house as if it was their own home. - No smoking allowed in the home. - No pets allowed in the home. - Please tidy up after usage.

We really Loved this accomodation. The House was very cozy, Clean and even beautifully decorated. The Housekeeper even warmed the House Up for our arrival.
The Hosts did also supply a lot of kitchen stuff and Basic food Like flour, salt, sugar etc..
Everything worked Like described and we found selfoss to ne the perfekt Base for our short Trip.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We have food allergies so it is hard to eat out, and the kitchen is super well equipped with pots, pans, utensils, even sharp knives which is a rarity in a VRBO. The neighborhood is a quiet residential place with very little traffic. Very convenient to South Iceland hiking trails and waterfalls.

Selfoss it self has good opportunities to buy groceries and stuff you need during your stay,
The location is a perfect start for a lot of sigtseeing opportunities like "The golden circle", Rejkavik (Citytour or Wale watching), or the Blue Lagoon.
We had a very good time and the communication with Judith was always kind and on point.

The house was exactly as described, and maybe the best stocked kitchen I have seen in a vacation rental.
Owner was very helpful and responded quickly to communications. I had an issue with the door and didnt understand the instructions, but to get the door to lock you must lift the handle, which engages the locking mechanism.
Great place to get to the golden circle and the southern ring road. I would recommend.

Communication with owner was very good.
The rental was as described. Plenty of pots, pans and utensils. Lots of plates and bowls so you don't have to run the dishwasher every night. All in all a very nice stay. Would stay again.

First and foremost thank you for accepting our last minute request. Another property cancelled on us 10 days prior to our arrival and we couldn't have asked for a better replacement.
The day trip information was invaluable and coming back to your property each night to cook our own meal was wonderful. So very clean and organized. It was a great place to stay!

I really loved our stay here. The property looked straight out of an ikea show room. There was everything we could need in the kitchen. The location in town was great so we could go to the grocery store easily and get our nightly icelandic hot dog fix at Pylsu Vagninn (go there! get a hot dog with everything and try the deep fried with doritios). The owners tips were great. We used info from their day trip itinerary ideas while exploring.

This home is located in an area where stores,restaurants,etc are within 1 mile. The home was so clean it looked brand new. The beds were comfortable. I believe it would sleep 8 if you used the couch in the living rooms which appeared to open. It was a wonderful place close to a wedding reception we were attending in Downtoen Selfoss. So convenient.

We sure enjoyed staying here our first 2 nights in Iceland. The place was large for our needs and a good home base for the golden circle and horseback riding. Very clean and modern. Wiifii was great as well as having a full kitchen and even washer/dryer. Would highly recommend

Everything was just perfect.
The house is new, very beautiful and super clean. Comfy beds, big bathroom, fully equipped kitchen...
Judith, the hostess, is very nice and helpful, true representative of icelandic population.
We also rented the car, which is well maintained and worked perfectly for us.
The location is great to visit the south of Iceland: Golden Circle, Landmannalaugar, Reykjadalur Hot Spring Thermal River and even Skógafoss.
Will definitely stay here again next time I visit beautiful Iceland!! :-)

Von außen ein Reihenhaus in einer Vorortsiedlung. Sehr ruhig gelegen und kurzer Weg in die Stadt. Von innen sehr geräumig wie auf den Bildern, es ist alles sehr schön gemacht. Wir haben uns die Woche sehr wohl gefühlt.

Unbelievably nice home, fully stocked kitchen, towels. There are also tons of guides in the house for things to do in Iceland. Our stay was really fantastic on every level could not recommend this property enough!

Schönes Appartement, in dem man sich schnell zuhause fühlen kann. Das Haus liegt in einer neuen und sehr ruhigen Wohnsiedlung, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind mit dem Auto schnell zu erreichen. Die Ausstattung ist außergewöhnlich gut. Im Bad gibt es für 4 Personen ausreichend Ablagemöglichkeiten sowie Handtuchhalter. Eine Besonderheit sind die von den Vermietern ausgearbeiteten Tourenvorschläge mit Karten. Selfoss ist ein guter Standort für Ausflüge entlang der Südküste.
