It was in a neighborhood and there was nothing close by

A big apartment in a good place, equiped with everything.

It bothered me a bit that people were walking around everywhere—even right under our window—so it wasn't clear what was part of the accommodation and what wasn't.

The kitchen is great, the bed very comfy, we love that we get to cook our dinner as it’s expensive to eat out in Iceland.

The rubbish disposal instruction is a bit complicated.

The apartment was clean and prepared for guests. It took a minute or two the owner appeared at the door, explained the system (in broken English) and suggested some ideas for visiting. He was nice and polite. The room was small, but well equipped, as was the kitchen.

The training I received for the owner. In the apartment there were TWO notes forcing guest to work for the owner. For free, of course. According to the owner, the guests must take care about their garbage, including taking it out to the selective containers. And the guests have to clean their dishes in the dishwasher. Dear Owner. I always leave the place in a very good shape (there were situations when the cleaning lady asked: anybody lived for one week?). But no, I'm not going to rack leaves for you, neither to put some asphalt on your driveway. Also, the owner asked me to repark my car (parked for check in only), but later on the other car parked across the remaining spaces and this was ok. I paid well too much for the apartment and being concerned about the owner understanding the TOURIST I definitely do not recommend this place. And, the key box is old and inefficient. It takes many trials to put correct code. Unless you are the owner, and this is my point. OWNER, not tourist.
