Residence Inn by Marriott Stamford Downtown

The staff were all EXCELLENT! From the front desk, to maintenance, parking, housekeeping and the folks in the kitchen, everyone was friendly and accommodating and patient (I had to call a few times)

In order to use the pullout couch and use the bed comfortably we had to call for extra pillows and linens (I didn't realize they were at the bottom of the bag with the blanket in the closet). There were only towels for 2 people (1 large each), despite the reservation saying three people, but housekeeping added more for our second night. The kitchenette is BARE! There was one BIG pasta pot but nothing else which kinda makes the kitchenette useless. Basic hotel information, like where ice machines are and breakfast times are not posted in the rooms or easily accessible. Our electrical situation was wonky and i had to call for help to make sure the door would actually lock and need a key for entry (it was accessible without a key). I also had to reset the GFCI in order to get the coffee maker to work. The walls are VERY thin. We had a baby doing baby things (no judgement but loud) throughout the night and that was tough. I was also traveling with my kids who aren't the quietest, and I get putting customers with kids next to each other, but they actually end up waking each other up throughout the night when the walls are so thin...

Modern and retro - clean and spacious - close to 95 for convenience - parking - fast retrieval of car

no magnifying mirror in bathroom - breakfast too late -

spacious and clean. everything worked. full size fridge

massively overpriced. location was ok but not convenient to train station, waterfront, or (better) restaurants and no grocery stores or pharmacy around. the good kitchenette had nothing in the way of cooking pots and pans. just one very large pot and one very large pan. i asked for a water kettle or at least a small pan but none was provided. on site restaurant is more like a bar/evening hang out place.
