About this house rental
Situated in Crescent City, this charming house for $189 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. I am a completely restored vacation rental with a wonderful location across the street from Brother Jonathan Park playground with ocean view. I am only 5 minutes from restaurants, breweries, supermarkets, drugstores, banks and more. 15 minutes to the Redwood Parks, beautiful Smith River and the Oregon Border. I have one master bedroom with en suite bathroom plus one bedroom one bathroom and a sofa bed in the living room all queen size. The living room and the dining room acomodates 6 people very comfortable. I am dog friendly. I have a large fenced, back yard, large redwood deck for BBQs, plus a greenhouse. From the front porch I can see the ocean and the Battery Point Lighthouse and you can sit and enjoy the amazing sunsets or just walk across the park to the sea view point where you can take the most beautiful pictures. I am a perfect place to watch the Fourth of July fireworks show.

The weather was cold and wet, this was a dry cozy place for my family to hunker down and enjoy the fireplace and cook a good meal.

Very comfortable home with a nice kitchen (good appliances for cooking and cleanup) and a nice dining area. Awesome master suite with a huge bathroom. Overall, an enjoyable place to stay and easy walking to the ocean and downtown.

Maria, the owner, was very helpful and very prompt in responding to our questions. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The master bath and shower were awesome!! It’s close to everything we wanted to do while visiting family in Crescent City. We will definitely be booking here again.

Taylor House was perfect! After two nights in crumby hotels along Hwy 101 from WA to CA it was so nice to walk into Taylor House. Location was great as it was right near the ocean. A block south and there was stairs down to the beach were we took the pup to run around. Nice big fenced backyard. Masterbedroom shower was a major bonus! There is nothing bad I can say about this place and Maria was great as responding. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone stopping over in Crescent City.

The Taylor House is a gem in the quaint little town of Crescent City. Near the ocean and so close to the redwoods. The yard is beautiful and the the home is so cute and cozy. I will be back.

The Taylor house was a great home and location . We had more than enough space to relax we felt like we was at home even though we was on vacation. Highly recommend for any family that needs a vacation getaway. The house was very clean and well maintained . The kitchen had everything we needed . Everything was in good condition . My only little knock was the tv situation not easy to navigate bedroom tv didn’t work I believe the remote needed batteries.

Stayed with a friend and our small dogs for a week.
The property was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the quiet, peaceful evenings and the dogs loved the fenced backyard. Short walk to the ocean view and access to beaches was really nice!
Loved the huge walk in shower!! Gorgeous tile and counter work throughout the home, washer and dryer in unit was a great convenience too. The kitchen was really well appointed and we cooked or ate in most days. You could really cook a big meal there!
The only negatives:
-there were no “grown up” movies to watch, only kids movies. We would’ve brought some had we known, but ultimately no big deal.
-We couldn’t get the “fireplace” to work and the “fire pit” in the backyard, which I bought wood for, was just a tree ring or plant ring that nothing was growing in that was too near the wood fence for our comfort. An actual fire pit would be a nice addition 😎👍 again, not a big deal just a slight disappointment.
-I had a small cut that I couldn’t find any bandages for in the first aid kit provided but got mine from my car and put some in there for the next person. ❤️
Overall, I highly recommend a stay here, wish I could’ve stayed another week on my own! If I’m
ever planning a trip through there again, I will definitely book it!

Our three night stay at Crescent City was wonderful! The two bedroom home was recently remodeled, so everything is new and clean. Check in was easy. The neighborhood was great- across from a park with a playground, walking distance to the beach, a mile from grocery stores and attractions, and 15 min from the Redwoods State/National Park visitors center.
Overall it was a great stay, I'd highly recommend it!

Maria was awesome to work with. She communicates very well and made herself available for questions.
The house was perfect!! Lots of room and as described. The kitchen is well supplied and she even has a small cooler and other items in the garage for use. We used the small cooler several times for picnic’s in the park.
The location was perfect to explore all the state and national parks as well as the southeastern coast of Oregon. The ocean is just a few minute walk away and offers beautiful sunsets.
We would definitely stay with Maria again and want to thank her immensely for being a super host!

Such a nice home. This was our first experience renting a VRBO and we will definitely do it again. Everything was clean and comfortable. The beds and linens were awesome. The shower in the main bedroom is luxurious to say the least. It was nice that games, placemats, cushions, dishes, wineglasses & laundry were all included. Being across from the park and so close to the ocean were added bonuses.

The house was beautiful, having a yard for the dog was fantastic, communication with the owner was excellent! Location is close to everything to make a vacation memorable. My only complaint is cookware and linens could use an update. Overall, great place to stay!

It was nicely located by the ocean. If you are traveling with a family, the house has enough space. There is also a park with a small play structure in front of the house. My only issue was the cleanliness of the house. It did not meet my expectation unfortunately. There are multiple ant traps/bates in the house and we did see some ants. There is a lot of spider webs in the master bathroom because it has a vaulted ceiling. I guess it is hard to clean?? We also found dog poops in the yard, which we ended up picking up.

We loved the living room, but the tvs needed instructions. The couches were very comfortable! The kitchen was very spacious! The bedrooms were wonderful and the master was very spacious. The washing machine and dryer were very useful. We loved the bathrooms and the showers, except that there were ants in both of them and in the hallway, so we didn't feel comfortable taking a shower there. The hallway bath also had a drawer front that fell off onto my toe. Ouch! We also didn't have a view of the lighthouse from the house and the neighbors yard is very messy. There was lots of good, but some bad also.

My other half and I as well as some friends of ours booked this house for a week get away to the coast. This house was absolutely amazing, and so was the host:). We felt that if we needed anything, that it would be no trouble to reach out and ask. Everything that you would need was neatly stocked in the house, the rooms were fabulous and I found it really nice that we were left with a binder of activities to do in the area as well as great places to eat (great recommendations by the way). Tis house just felt like home, it was very clean and comfortable. This was such a perfect place to be, literally just steps from a beautiful ocean view and maybe a minute drive to the beach! Our friends also brought their little dog as well and this house was perfect for him! This is going to be one of my favorite trips forever, thanks to Maria, we will be back if you will have us again!:) This was nothing short of Fabulous<3! Thanks a ton!

Really loved this property. The house itself was clean, orderly, and very comfortable. Everything I needed for a 3 day stay was provided. Nice large open kitchen area with tile floor and very nice appliances, cabinets, countertops, etc. Kitchen and master bedroom open to spacious backyard wooden deck and lawn area. Master bedroom and bath were awesome. Walk in master shower was nicest I have ever seen. His and hers sinks with large counter top and mirror, tile floors, great bathroom. Other bedroom, bathroom, and front room were very nice. Location is awesome! Step across the street and open park to take in beautiful ocean sunsets and lighthouse views right on the ocean. Great if you like to take strolls along the ocean. Close to Safeway grocery store, restaurants, shopping, and easy access to Highway 101. Owner Maria is a dream to work with! Very responsible caring lady! I'd give Maria's Taylor House a 6 star rating but 5 is maximum.

Was the second time my mom & I stayed at this property. It is wonderfully accommodating for us & our two dogs. We feel so at home. We love the fenced yard, bathrooms & comfy beds. The weather was perfect during our stay; we didn’t want to leave. We plan to return again next year!! Total satisfaction👏❤️

We needed a little get-away & this place was perfect! Close to our daughter’s place, got to see the grandchildren, play on the beach, have dinner out, location was spot on.
