Look no futher, this is a great place with an amazing host!

We wouldn't know where to start - this is an excellent accomodation option! Dionisios (the host) has put all effort in making guests feel very welcome. Excellent commmunication, a lot of advice, excellently equipped apartment (includingbeach towels, picnic basket..), lovely welcome snacks! The apartment is in an excellent location in Lixouri, very close (3-5 mins walk) to both central area (with shops and cafes) and to port area (with waterfront restaurants and ferry to Argostoli). Waterfront is actually 2 houses away. The apartment is very clean, comfortable, and excellently equipped: bathroom has towels, bathrobe, slippers,washing machine,shower gel etc, kitchen with microwave,cookware,fridge and freezer (we even got free icecream as a welcome gift, lovely surprise!). Dionisios is always available, very thoughtful and willing to offer all support to make us feel welcome! Which he did, the moment we arrived! Argostolion (the island capital) can be easily reached by Ferry (passenger ferries run well into the night /some possibly all night long with less than 3eur/person). The view from the top is lovely! We like to make custom trips so we always spend a lot of time in researching for accomodation. Dionisios' place has a great mix: local charm (Lixouri being less touristic and more into real Kefalonian style), excellent ammenities, super value for money, great location with easy access to everything and most of all, the loveliest host! We are very happy we discovered this place, we really couldn't reccomend it more and will definitely stay here when coming back to Kefalonia.

Had a great time in a great apartment, with very welcoming hosts.

Hosts were really helpful, friendly and welcoming and supplied tea, water, fruit and cake for our arrival, which was about 11.30 in the evening. Host lives on the top floor and popped in to check we were ok the next day - bringing a further supply of cake! We could ring or pop up if we had any questions or problems, Beds were big and very comfy with a linen change after one week and they even supplied beach towels, which is great as they take up so much room in your suitcase. Its a great apartment in a great location, literally a few yards to the end of the road where the harbour is, and a 10/15min stroll along the seafront to the nearest sandy beach. Lots of restaurants & shops in the town, 5 mins walk away, but quiet in the residential areas and felt very safe. Easy to walk to from the ferry port (that crosses between Argostoli and Lixouri). Next time we will get a taxi from the airport to Argostoli, get the ferry and then hire a car locally from Lixouri for travelling around the Island. Would recommend Lixouri to anyone who wants a relaxing break and this 2 bedroomed apartment was just right for us and our family. Anna and Dion were great hosts and the apartment was clean, light and airy and equipped with everything we needed.
