This is a very private and newly renovated, top floor corner unit centrally located in Kailua-Kona, Big Island Hawaii. 350 days of sunny weather in a year with some of the best beaches in the world, all within a short distance. Our condo complex Kona Shores is located just outside the busy part of Alii Dr. within 1 mile walking distance to the town centre and farmer's market. There is a ocean side pool with beautiful sunset and possible whale, dolphin sightings. Experienced snorkeler can also snorkel right at the shoreline of the condo, I always see lots interesting fish there. The common BBQ area is above the pool, the regular returning guest and longer term residents always hang out there socialize and watching the ocean. Our condo offers a private and relaxing setting at top corner with cozy home feel, full kitchen, bath, queen size bed, WiFi and designated parking space. A great place to come back to after exploring what some of the amazing and diverse places the Big Island has for you to experience. Description: Kitchen is all newly renovated with granite countertops, new cabinets and matching vanity set in a large bathroom with a waterfall faucet. Fully furnished top corner unit with a very private and tranquil setting. There is a Queen sized bed with Nova Gel Memory Foam mattress, additional leather sofa bed, 32 inch Samsung TV, DVD Player, cookware, rice cooker, coffee maker, kettle, dinner ware and cutleries for you to use. There are lots of novels, guide books, body board, and snorkeling gear left from previous guests. High speed internet is available. Coin operated laundry facility in complex. No Smoking and no pet allowed.

The condo was very clean and neat and comfortable. Price per day was reasonable as well. (Affordable). Location is great as well. Communication with host was also great and they assisted me with my requests as well. If I plan to return to Kona, hopefully this condo will be available. The condo was very clean, and nicely renovated. The location was convenient. The owners were very responsive to even minor needs, which was great! Kitchen had sufficient dishes etc but no little extras. Unfortunately it’s quite dark (can’t be helped, due to layout) but if you spend the day out, it’s not an issue. We stayed in another condo in the same complex last year which was less expensive and had more amenities, so that was the only negative.

We really enjoyed our stay in Kona. Apartment has great location within walking distance to Kona restaurants. Nice and clean place with everything you need. Even beach gear and snorkeling equipment available. Only remark was a little confusion on WiFi code which was different from the one we were given and gave us some issues logging into our email for finding the code to the door.

Great location. This is not a five or 4 star resort in case your looking for one. The complex however is quiet and friendly, there was no drama during our stay. The place could’ve been cleaner but an decent effort was made. The curtains on the windows are completely see through so we had to use blankets as curtains for privacy. All and all these are 5 star hosts with 2.5 star accommodations for an overall 3 star rating from these travelers.

Very clean and quiet with a nice balcony and there's a great pool area. It was great to have a full kitchen and activity things like snorkeling equipment, boogie boards and a cooler for use. For the price and location, it's an excellent option. Check in was very easy, too.

We spent 5 nights in this nice, large and super equipped apartment. We did enjoy our stay, we felt like at home thanks to all the kind attentions, The location is perfect to visit Big Island during the day and come back to see the magnificent sunsets from the swimming pool !! The location is perfect. Easy checkin/check-out. There is a collection of beach gear you can use. The room was just as it looked in the pictures. Nice, clean, and spacious. We enjoyed the balcony seating at night; it was a great way to unwind and listen to the Coqui. Parking is right below the unit. The pool area has a great view of the ocean; pool's water temperature was perfect! It is a very quiet area. I suggest going to Don's Mai Tai Bar & Restaurant for dinner or drinks and music with a great view of the sunset. Check out Kahalu’u Beach Park or Beach 69 for good snorkeling.

The condo was beautiful. The complex itself was in need of some upgrades, but the condo itself was nicely upgraded, well-stocked and beautiful. One of the only suggestions I would have would be some window treatments would have been nice. There is a nice amount of vegetation in front of the lanai offering privacy. However there is still a significant amount of both foot and vehicular traffic and the vegetation isn’t completely adequate. The existing curtains are sheer. Overall I was very happy with my stay. Thank you

Beautiful sunset view from pool, but lounges too uncomfortable. We used the chairs at a table in the common area, where unfortunately there were smokers. The air conditioner was too loud, so the screen doors kept the temp fine, but with street noise. The birds sounds at dawn and dusk were wonderful. The smell of either scented cleaner or bug spray took a while after we aired the place on arrival before I could breath.

Many updates made this property a cozy and welcome stay while on the Big Island. In particular we appreciated the new mattress and the updated shower as well as the full kitchen facilities. The property was exactly as described by VRBO and the owners. We're looking forward to staying here again the next time we visit the Big Island. Thank you!

place was great. we stayed for our anniversary and was nice and quiet. no view of ocean but nice view of the mountains from Lani. was close to downtown area was easy to walk to as long as you like long walks.

They didn’t tell us we had to download an app to use the washer and dryer. The directions to the parking spot could have been clearer. A map of the property would have been nice. There were some minor maintenance issues, mostly due to sickness of the person who normally cares for the place. The patio was quite smelly in one corner.

Location was great, apartment was good but AC could be way better, we were asked to turn everything off when leaving so we would come back to a 90 degree room. And it took the mini window AC all night to finally cool it down by that time we were already getting ready to leave. The AC and fan are very loud as well and with it being a studio apartment you had to hear it all night. Great private balcony and the location is walkable distance to the the downtown area.

First of all, Kim & Lake were very responsive hosts. The location is wonderful. Close to, but not in town, with a coffee shop in walking distance. Felt spacious for a studio, even with a friend sleeping on the couch. Good assortment of beach stuff. Whether supplied or left by other renters, there was sunscreen, shampoo, conditioner, and liquid soap, several rolls of tp and paper towels, and some condiments in the fridge. The bed is comfy but I’m told the couch is not. There are a few negatives: The AC is very underpowered for the space and had to be running constantly when we were in the condo. The condo is closer to the road than the ocean and the occasional loud vehicle can be heard. But all in all it was a great time! Thanks!

We stayed here for our first two nights in Hawaii. The location was exactly what we wanted near enough to shopping centers for us to get supplies that we couldn't bring on the airplane. The room was clean and quaint. The comfy bed allowed us to start catching up on sleep lost in travel. We enjoyed walking down to the ocean and using this location as a launching point for our adventures on the big island! There's so much to do and see nearby it was impossible to get to it all. Thanks!
