Idyllic

A slice of paradise with wonderful hosts, personalized care and great tours to explore the area. So much appreciated the efforts towards conservation and community engagement. An ideal place to disconnect and relax.

Wonderful stay at this unique property - attentive owners and staff with breathtaking views.

Wonderful owners and staff. Loved the home in stunning location. Screened deck was amazing! We ate all of our meals there. Great added value to include use of kayaks and paddleboards.

More fans or one room with air conditioning would have made for more comfortable sleeping.

Very good

The hosts are very helpful, they are trying to the maximum for your comfort. The place is really hidden in the mangroves, you can see the bioluminiscence from the peer!

We were not much comfortable with the fact that you do not know what is served for breakfast or dinner before, and you do not have any other options there (no other restaurants, no choice). Also the swimming pool was out of order which was uncomfortable for us as the water in the mangroves is not to everyone's liking.

This hotel is beautiful, small and very welcoming. A lovely place to chill. Excellent trips out.

We liked everything about this property. The rooms, the views, the wildlife, the food, the owners, and their amazing staff team.

Outstanding

Outstanding owners and staff. We have been helped every step of the way. Individual approach, so much personal attention given to us. We felt very special and taken care off. Various tours offered so you never get bored. Amazing food and drinks. You find yourself in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by pure nature, which turns out to be an exact place you should have been. Brian and Amy our respect for all that you're doing, hope to see you again!

As you are so far from civilization, you should realize the only way to get there is with water taxi, so you can not be that independent traveler. Fortunately, Dolphin Bay has kayaks and their own boats to take you any direction if asked.

Paradise

It is a true paradise. You stay in a Bungalow surrounded by tropical plants. There are dolphins in the bay and you always can just put akyak. You will get served amazing food. All people who work there are amazing. There are interesting tours you don't want to miss.

Wonderful Bocas experience away from the crowd

Hosts were super attentive. Lots of things to do like snorkeling or jungle trip with Brian (small extra fee) while Amy and her team take care of the great food. A wonderful place away from (mass) tourism on Bocas‘ main island. Free SUPs and Kayaks. Good internet.

Come for the beauty - stay for the food.

The property is located in a beautiful bay with neighbours hidden by the jungle. You can swim, you can hike - but the nicest option is to just plain relax. The couple that run the place take care of all your worries and go the extra distance to ensure that you have pleasant stay. Great food and smoothies to keep you full and happy. In short, you can safely book here.

We are grateful that we found this place. going to bocas del Toro and not stay at Brian and Amy is like going to the beach and not get inside the water. If they have rooms available don't waste your time searching for someplace else in bocas. They are super welcoming, the food is excellent and they always make sure your day is full of adventures.

we had the best experience here! we never had a more wonderfull place then this one! the place and rooms are stunning, Amy and the rest are super friendly and helpfull. And the food was just amazing!! we did a jungle tour and went kayaking with the dolphins. do much peace in this place. thankyou for everything!

Great little paradise spot

Food, location, hosts treatment, view. The hosts will really make you feel like part of the family. We went there to rest and also my birthday, Brian and Amy made sure I had a great birthday

Nowhere close to buy food or other drinks, only those at the hotel. Plan ahead and buy the things you want at Bocas before getting to the hotel

Amy and Brian are wonderful hosts. We couldn't have started our vacation any better than at their hideaway! Our room was spacious and decorated with great attention to detail and Caribbean flair (as was the rest of the Hideaway). Amy's cooking was outstanding and there were no other tourists on the snorkeling trip except us (and Brian, our host). Not to mention the wildlife around the Hideaway. If you want to spend your vacation away from mass tourism, have a wonderful time by the sea and next to a huge jungle garden, eat good food and value super hosts, this is the right place.

We loved that we felt so welcome. Brian made sure that we felt welcome and home. Dolphin Bay Hideaway is truly a hidden piece of paradise. We loved paddle boarding in the bay to spot dolphins , in which we succeeded! Brian and Amy are loving people who have great respect and heart for the nature around them and also for their guests. They made sure that we were comfortable and happy and we truly had an amazing experience.

Amazing experience

It was a life changing experience. We saw sloths in their natural habitat, humming birds, dolphins, fireflies - the wildlife is just amazing. The owners work really hard to run their business in a sustainable way. Brian is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. We really liked how meals are served at a big table so you can get to know other guests - we met some lovely people. The chef is brilliant.

A fantastic gem in bocas.

I really loved everything about the property. The food, room, location but it was Amy and Brian (who own it) that made the stay fantastic. The tours you can do are great. I did snorkelling and a walk of the property (a must) learning about the project and seeing all the sloths. Couldn't recommend this place enough and I hope to be able to return again myself.

Amy and Brian make joint efforts to assure that each person has both an educational and fun experience. Hidden away amongst the mangroves you will find a quiet and abundant experience. There are tours of the jungle and adjacent islands available. Swimming and stand- up-paddle is safe and you may be rewarded by dolphin and animal sightings (dolphin presence is not always guaranteed). Kayaks available ( all not additional charge). Jungle walk is a must to learn what Brian and Amy are doing here to preserve natural abundance in wildlife and flora growth. Books to glean. Bio-luminescence experienced during lunar waning (darker). Food is offered on half or full board and half board discounts your boat trip return. Thanks and we hope to be back.

Beautiful location, incredible views, wonderful experience.

Beautiful location with fantastic views and excellent site amenities. Brian and Amy were wonderful hosts. Eating with the other guests was fun and a great way to meet new people. I had a great time and highly recommend staying there.

This property is run by fantastic people, very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The place itself is very nicely located and has very good facilities. The food is also exceptional. Overall we really recommend this place.

Amy, Brian and the whole team are the most amazing hosts. So attentive and caring. the Food is AMAZING! Brian knows so much about the Island and the animals/ plants living there. it’s a super chill place with a lot to do (if you want to :))

We loved the room, the pool area, the garden as well as the dining area. The whole place is so beautifully decorated. You have all the comfort you can dream of. Everything was perfect from the property to the food and the drinks as well as the welcome.

Truly amazing!

Our time at Dolphin Bay Hideaway was amazing in every aspect. Amy and Brian are so wonderful and lovely - they really want to make your stay unforgettable. We enjoyed the free kajaks and sups, the tours with Brian, the views from the terrace, the food and drinks from Amy and JA, the bioluminescence during the night (make sure u jump into the water when there's no moon and it's really dark), the talks, the garden as well as the wild animals (lots of sloths). The snorkeling spots around the mangrove islands are pretty unique and astonishing - so much color and fish. The coral is in wonderful shape and Brian's really taking care not to damage anything with the boat. Furthermore, there's a reason for why it's called dolphin bay! When you're lucky while on a kajak or a boat they can get really close to you :) It's really worth the money! Beautiful place with outstanding hospitality. Thanks a lot for the awesome time :) Highly recommended ;)

Relaxing and wonderful place.

Welcome home!…should describe all. You arrive and just feel like being welcomed by your family. Amy and Brian love what they do and you notice that in every single moment, and also the staff is wonderful, kind and always helping you if you need anything. If you want to know something about wildlife just take a walk with Brian through the jungle. And Amy has prepared every day something new for breakfast and dinner, so thanks again to the kitchen team. A wonderful place to get your head free of business issues and to relax. PS even the Bananabread is worth comming over from Europe😉

Renting the house is great for a family with kids!

The setting in its own private bay makes this place extra special. Brian and Amy make sure you have a wonderful stress free trip! Very clean. Has the basic staples for cooking. Well stocked kitchen. Modern appliances. Screened in porch to eat your meals and overlook the bay. Absolutely wonderful place!

A+++ Lovely place. Suberb activities to do. Jungle walk sup snorkeling... the trips with brian are cool. Learnd a bunch of new stuff. The food an cocktails that amy makes are of the charts. Saw dolphins every single day. They do a alot for the environment.
