About this chalet rental
Situated in Beech Mountain, this attractive chalet for $355 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. *** We are sorry to say that our property will not be available between April 1 - Sept 31 of 2024 due to Beech Mountain’s infrastructure project for our part of the mountain. With the installation of new water and sewer lines along with fiber optic communications, we will be poised for a great 2024-25 season. **** If you enjoy snow skiing, snowboarding, tubing or mountain biking then this Beech Mountain chalet is the place for you. As a Ski-In/Ski-Out property, it is located next to Lower Shawneehaw enabling you to fasten on those skis or snowboards and begin your trip down the mountain right off of the lower deck. Be one of the first skiers of the day down the slopes. Enjoy the many other activities that Beech Mountain Resort offers during the winter, such as ice skating and tubing. If winter is not your season and you love mountain biking in the summer and spring, then grab your bike, put on your helmet and head down one of the many trails offered on Beech Mountain. To help you unwind after a long day on the slopes or trails you can relax and enjoy the hot tub that accommodates 5-6 adults comfortably. If skiing and biking aren't for you then head up the mountain and enjoy the beautiful long-range views sitting high above the mountain tops from both the upper and lower decks of this chalet. In the mornings, snuggle up with a hot cup of coffee and watch as the sun rises above the mountains. The multi-mile views from this property are breathtaking. During the off season there are still many attractions available for you to enjoy such as, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, Tweetsie Railroad and Mystery Hill which are all conveniently located within 20 miles of this chalet. Head across the mountains along the Blue Ridge Parkway till you arrive in the little town of Blowing Rock and enjoy the antique shops, ice cream parlors, and quaint restaurants they have to offer. With temperatures rarely getting out of the 70’s during the summer months, you will also want to enjoy the many festivals offered by the Town of Beech Mountain. When the Fall Season arrives in October, the mountains explode in an abundance of color with the changing of the leaves. This is probably one of the most beautiful times of the year across the mountains. With that comes the annual Wooley Worm festival located just down the mountain, in the town of Banner Elk. If you have never experienced racing a Wooley Worm up a string line before, then this is one attraction that you will not want to miss. This chalet offers all of the comforts of home including 3 bedrooms with queen beds and bunks sleeping a total of 11 guests. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need to create a great meal. All of the TV's in the chatel are connected to an outdoor antenna, however the 50" smart TV in the main room connects to cable through the Spectrum app. All of the TV’s are flat screen and wall mounted. High speed internet is also provided. We have a gas grill located outside on the patio for grilling your favorite foods or you can choose from one of the many quaint restaurants located on the mountain. ********* Winter Warning ******** This property is located high on the mountain so during the winter season you will need a 4WD vehicle to access the chalet. Even though the Town of Beech Mountain maintains the roads, there may be times when chains are also needed. Please check current weather conditions before heading up the mountain. ******** This home is protected with Exterior 24 hour Video Surveillance **********

Our family had a wonderful time - the chalet was the perfect spot for our skiing vacation. We could just put our skis on and go… and when not on the slopes, it’s fun to wave the people on the lift. The view is amazing! Additionally, the chalet was clean and very cozy. We will definitely be back!

This was our second time staying at this property. It is a great location with the lift in front of the house with a true ski in ski out. There is plenty of room for the 6 of us. Even with the lack of snow this weekend, everyone was still able to ski. We really enjoyed the house and our time together. We will be back again for Ski Trip 3.0.

Perfect vacation house for enjoying everything beech mountain has to offer. Easily fit the 7adults and 2children. Parking space easily fit two oversized vehicles. Covered area with large hot tub and gas grill was a great addition to the already wonderful location.

This is my third time staying at Beech Mountain and about 10th time going. This place had the best views. The set up was perfect for our family's needs. My dad is in a wheelchair so the 3 steps down were easy to get him into the house. Being so close to the lift meant he could watch us as we go up and start down the mountain. There was plenty of room for the whole family to each have a bed. One of the few places with a hot tub that also had the amazing view. Easy access to the slopes and to town. Great communication with the property owner. Will definitely be back!

Our family enjoyed our 2nd stay at this home. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, hot water a kickin' heat! We enjoy watching the skiers from the deck or out of the windows. We are looking forward to our stay next year!

This is an awesome stay! Other than the last road to get to the house (highly recommend 4WD, as owners clearly state). Beautiful views, you can talk to people on the ski lift…it’s that close! True ski in ski out! The deck is amazing to just sit and relax on while listening to outdoor speakers. Small kitchen but well stocked. Large bedrooms with a lot of sleeping areas for multiple families. Best of the all, the host is amazing! One of the best I’ve ever booked with and we travel, using VRBO, a lot!! Communication was wonderful! He kept us up to date on weather and road conditions and truly made our stay amazing! Highly recommend!

Our family of five including three children (9, 11, 13), had an amazing time skiing at Beech Mountain. You can't beat this location - right next to the ski lift at the top of Lower Shawneehaw, which is a beginner/intermediate slope. Staying here allowed us to maximize our ski time by avoiding the lines and expense of taking breaks and eating at the resort. We were also able to take advantage of night skiing (5PM - 10PM) which has fewer people and much shorter lift lines (in some cases, we didn't wait at all).
Our favorite feature of this house is the location, but we also really enjoyed having three bedrooms and 2.5 baths which gave our family some room to spread out. The kitchen has everything we needed to prepare meals and enjoy them together. The downstairs entrance and ski equipment area made getting in and out very convenient. Communication with David was excellent.
We highly recommend staying here for your family ski trip.

We had a great stay, with only a couple of minor concerns. The hot tub was not working. Dave offered to provide a full refund and had already ordered the parts to repair it, but they didn't arrive in time. Also, for some reason, several flies kept showing up. There was a fly swatter available, but they kept coming. Overall though, we had a wonderful time and the view of the mountains from the cabin was spectacular!

We had an amazing stay at the Chalet. The GPS did bring us straight to the driveway. The place was very clean, comfy beds and an awesome sectional to unwind on. David was very responsive when we asked questions. The location is amazing as you are at the top of the ski lift with a great view. I would note that the downstairs bedroom can sound quite loud when people are walking around upstairs, but other than late, a great place to escape. I would definitely recommend taking a visit here.

The house was clean and included everything we needed. We cooked breakfast and dinner in the kitchen and did not lack anything. The beds were very comfortable - The queen beds and the bunk beds had great mattresses and sheets. The views from balcony at sunrise were amazing! We enjoyed the hot tub and the large gas grill outside as well. The neighbors were friendly and there were deer in the backyard every day!

Three state view is outstanding! The house was great and super convenient to everything in town. If you are a skier or biker this house is perfect. Sitting on the porch, relaxing and enjoying the view may be the best. The hot tub is a great plus.

Excellent location
The location was perfect and exactly as described. The kitchen was slightly smaller than I expected but it had everything that you would need. The view was spectacular. The ease of being able to ski in/out was so convenient. It was very nice having the hot tub after a long day of skiing. It seemed like it would be hard to find but Waze did work. The public parking has moved behind Brick Oven Pizza if you need that option. Overall we definitely plan to stay here again.

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The view is amazing (especially sunrise). Watching the people on the slopes was fun for those who didn't ski/board. Outdoor music and hot tub was enjoyed. Kitchen was stocked well and had all we needed to prepare our meals. Beds are comfortable - how water that lasted for all to shower. We will be back!

Best chalet on the mountain!
The chalet was perfect! We were 4 teen/tweens and 3 adults with plenty of room. As a mom who doesn't ski, this cabin was perfect for the kids to ski in and out at the top of the blue slope. The kids enjoyed the freedom while I enjoyed the warmth and ability to see my kids on the lifts and skiing. The chalet was well stocked. We cooked all meals at the house and the grill was nice. We watched movies at night on the big tv in the main living area on the most comfortable couch ever! The hot tub was an added bonus for kids and adults! The owner, David was extremely helpful and quick to respond to all my questions! We have been going to Beech Mountain for several years and this was our best trip yet! We hope to stay again next year!
