The rooms are big enaugh, but they need to renovate it. And the cleanless downstairs is poor

The breakfast was wonderful, I saw people taking away breakfast after eating and the staff was ok about that and that was something special for me.

The floor are made of woods, and it looks like they never clean this wood with water. When you walk in the room without shoes your feets get dirty from the floor dust. I asked for clean bedsheets after the first night, which was done immediately. The only Problem that i faced was the cleaning. I even after the first night wanted to cancel the other nights but I think at the end I didn’t want to pay 50% of the booking that was the reason why I stayed there till the end of my stay. The staff is just wonderful, the best staff I muss say. They need to clean the stairs daily and do some renovations. The hotel location is amazing for sea lovers.

it’s barely 2star and not 4 star!

not much!!

location is remote, rooms are dark and dingy, quite noisy as well, shower didn’t work (even after asking to fix it on second day). breakfast was bare minimum!!

good location to visit Dakar in a relaxed way

clean, organised, friendly and a lot at walking distance. also not located directly in the city chaos

Nice staff, a bit maintenance required

The location of the hotel.

Some maintenance required. Saw a couple of cockroaches walking in the room. the road to the rest of the corniche was closed because of road building so couldn't walk entirely on the corniche as previously planed

The Room , the Bar and the Amaizing Staff I forget my smart watch when check out and they call me later on to inform , Great Staff

A taxi drivers available close to the Hotel was not very honest regarding the price .

Exceeded my expectation! in combination with Hotel Lagon1, you will give a business traveller a Wow!

Honestly your breakfast exceeded my expectation. You are set up to capture niche customer populations, like self employed frequent flyers who need a comfortable place to sleep and have a busy 9 -5 during the day. Your room rate is affordable, food in your restaurant is good and values for money! I was coming from Terrou-Bi so the Ship fashioned hotel was not what I had in mind, we wanted a quiet day on our first day and got that from your hotel 100%!

Please change the bathtub into showers period. service the main door entrance to the rooms. the slide door into the bathroom is super brilliant. re-enforce the balcony, especially as they are right in the Atlantic ocean!

very good hotel with sea views but close enough to the city centre to easily visit the attractions- Goree island, Africa

Sea view and the nautical theme. Food was good. lots and of variety on the breakfast buffet. staff very friendly and helpful.

Balcony had areas where the wood was rotten, didn’t feel safe

Great value, excellent location!

Nice spacious rooms, I believe all with balconies overlooking the ocean. They offer a very good breakfast (ocean-view dining room) with a decent selection of items including pastries, eggs, juice, cheeses, yogurt, tea/coffee, and fruit. Great wifi. The staff was always helpful when I needed to find a taxi (and negotiate a price). Ithink the Lagon Il is a good choice compared to some of the other "western" hotels in Dakar -- I also stayed 3 nights at the Novotel nearby, and I think I'd pick the Lagon Il as the better value. (I booked the Lagon Il through Booking.com, having tried unsuccessfully to book directly with the hotel.) (Note that Lagon Il is the hotel; Lagon I is a restaurant located next door.) The big "Casino" grocery store is just a few minutes' walk, if you need to pick up some snacks or toiletries. I should give a special shout-out to the terrific houskeeping staff -- I forgot an item in my room, and wasn't able to return to ask about it until almost 2 weeks later. Not only had they found it and saved it for me, they had made careful notes about where & when it was left. I appreciated their kindness so much. Jerejef to them!!

Not a quite good quality-money ratio

The rooms are quite spacious. The hotel itself is located right on the beach so it provides an amazing view from the balkonies.

Pictures of the hotel look nice but I believe they need to be updated because the hotel itself is really old.

Nice hotel with great ocean view and wave sounds at night

Nice hotel with very friendly staff, canceled two nights in alignment with booking com staff, since flight schedules were made to my itinary

Renovations during day time (the hotel paid attention that no noise was made before 09.00 and after 17.00)

Very good

the room just by the water and the view out over the ocean. Room always cleaned, while we were having breakfast. Good coffee at breakfast. Enough space by the washbasin in the bathroom.

Partly unprofessional staff. Receptionists with chewing gum and not looking up, when one enters the hotel. Taking orders with a toothpick in the mouth at the restaurant. Most items of the menu- or drinks card not available in the restaurant and at the bar. Almost no light in the bar (due apparently to electricity problems). Items didn't get replaced, when finished at the breakfast buffet. Quality of food at restaurant mostly bad (very taugh beef, very dry chicken).

Exceptional

We loved the sound of the sea and birds outside our room. The place was beautiful, clean and relaxing. It was a beautiful getaway in the busyness of Dakar. The food was excellent and the staff were great. We will definitely be staying here again.
