Just really loved location, clean, friendly staff and quaint adorable property with pretty nature and vegetation.
Finish remodeling the rooms. Bathrooms were updated but king room Furniture way big for room
Maybe get longer narrow furniture cabinet for Tv and updated desks and night stands

Location was good, close to the beaches and shops, and a short drive to the heart of San Diego. Seems like the hotel was recently upgraded and the room and bathroom were nice.
The pool wasn't heated. Also the bed was hard.

The location was perfect for us. I loved the historic feel of the hotel. The room was beautiful and clean. The property is over 100 years old and wonderfully maintained. Staff is polite and helpful. Gorgeous bathroom!!!

Room, location & Breakfast.
1 day the maid missed cleaning our room (I was working in the room until after 1:00 PM & had the "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door.)

I did not eat breakfast there. I liked the quiet location and how close it was to the little shops and the busier part of Del Mar down by the plaza.
Loved everything. Many different outside seating areas. Cold when I was there. Would love to come back in warmer weather. (Hot water in bathroom sink didn’t turn on with much pressure.)

EVERYTHING!! This was a wonderful hotel/stay. The staff was amazing; friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I was able to check in early and check out a little late. AND I was given an upgrade to a different room. 😊 That was very much appreciated!! The parking was no problem, plenty of spaces, and they don't charge for parking like most hotels do nowadays. The room was very clean, as was the whole hotel. The view from my third-floor room was amazing! I will definitely stay here again, and have already booked another stay for my visit in October. I'm so very happy I found this hotel. 😊

Bed could have been more comfortable. I wish I had had a better lock for the sliding glass door as I was on the ground floor.

clean comfortable rooms with great black out curtains and a small kitchenette. on-site cafe does great coffee! no frills but everything was perfectly functional and comfortable.

East walk into town for shopping restaurants etc. and right on Camino Del Mar for easy car drive to everywhere including the highway so location was superb. The views of the ocean and sunsets out of this world beautiful. Receive 15% discount coupons to the coffee shop on site which was very good and the staff there were efficient and friendly. easy access to beach.
We arrived a day later than our original booking but I’d notified the property 2 days prior of this change through the Booking.com portal. Upon arrival they had cancelled our booking saying that they marked us as a no show and have no record or access to the Booking.com messaging portal. The one attendant said if I had not received a response directly from them that it should have been up to me to call the property to notify them. She was quite rude and they were struggling to get in touch with the manager to get direction as to what to do. None the less after some wait they eventually let us check in and the stay was great. Booking.com should be aware that some properties are not aware of their the breakdown in their communication platform.

The room was clean. Motel was kinda noisy during the afternoon but quiet during evening hours.
The Cafe was great! A real bargain for guests. Great menu, good coffee choices and great value for the money. Like the outdoor seating areas as well with the fire place.
Had to move rooms cuz the 1st room shared a common wall with the elevator equipment room. ..Noisy!

Friendliness of staff! Location, right by the ocean. Room was clean - and balcony was a nice add. Everything was VERY clean. The cafe was great for breakfast, and the food was very good!
They need to keep more keurig coffee cups in the rooms. One coffee and one decaf coffee are not enough. More wine choices in the chilled amenities at reception.
