About this cottage rental
Nestled in Outer Banks, this attractive cottage for $210 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Master bedroom with K bed and private BA; 2nd bedroom has Q bed and direct access to BA; 3rd bedroom has pyramid bunks and foosball table. Well decorated home will make you feel at home, wood floors in kitchen, LR and and large enclosed porch which doubles as dining room. Private pool (May through October) and screened gazebo with hot tub, spacious yard with grass; outdoor grill with prep table. High-speed wifi. TV's in each BR and in LR. DVD players Central A/C and 7 ceiling fans. Kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans/dishes/utensils etc. Pack and play and high chair for infants/toddlers. Large deck with plenty of comfy seats.

A very nice house with everything we needed. Well equipped and comfortable beds. An easy walk to the beach helped by a cart which was available, alongwith chairs and body boards. Thank you for making your home available to us.

Great property! Very clean upon arrival. Short walk to beach. Terrific private pool for when it was too windy at beach. Loved the front porch area - it was air conditioned so it was great to eat out there, do yoga or just enjoy coffee in rocking chairs! Can’t wait to go back!

Well cared for home shows pride in ownership. Well appointed and clean inside and out! Perfect location and access to beach path was fantastic. Our overall experience was far greater than any we’ve had in 25 years of visiting OBX!

This house is well cared for, clean, and has great access to the beach as well as the convenience of a private pool. The bedrooms are furnished really well and efficiently so that space is maximized. We will definitely return.

The property is beautiful. House was absolutely beautiful. There is beach access right down the street. Kids had a blast in the pool. The whole family enjoyed themselves. The owner takes so much pride in the home and it shows. Very functional. Everything we needed. We have been going down to OBX for 5 years now and everytime we rent a different place. This home by far was absolutely amazing!

The house was fabulous!! We honestly had an amazing time!! We spent lots of time on the porch playing games and rocking ..
The kitchen is well stocked with stuff to cook meals!! You’ve truly made your place very homey. And honestly, we probably will be back!! We for sure want to do the beach!! We really enjoyed the salvo day area on the sound!!

Definitely in the top 5 rentals we have stayed in as a family, best and cleanest in OBX. All the amenities were wonderful, hottub,pool, full kitchen, books and games. Washing off from the beach was made easy with an easily accessible hose or outdoor shower with warm water. Thank you for sharing your home with us- we’d love to come back

Beautiful, comfortable, well equipped. We could see the sunrise over the ocean from one side of the deck, and the sunset over the ocean on the other side. Food lion delivered groceries. It was quiet and lovely ❤️.

This was our second time staying at Sunny Side up and it didn’t disappoint. The house was very clean, well maintained, perfect size and very comfortable. We had a Great time at the beach, relaxing by the pool, riding bikes etc. We look forward to returning next year.

Perfect size, location, and amenities
Perfect vacation home for small family. Fully stocked kitchen. Books and games for kids, spaces for family time and enough space for and alone time. Plenty of beach gear with wagon. Short distance to beach. Pool and hot tub were great alternatives to beach. Trees afforded shade and privacy. Owners were great communicators and made everything super easy.

The perfect beach house
We absolutely loved our stay here in OBX! It was our first trip to the area, and this house was so convenient to the beach and close enough to other activities! The house had it all, even a high chair and crib for the baby. David communicated well throughout the stay and even called me to answer a question I had during my stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfection!
This house has everything you need to complete the perfect vacation. Private pool & hot tub on the culdesac of a quiet street. There is a short walk to the beach which we did at least 2x a day! The private shower yo rinse off after your beach day, was glorious! The beds were comfortable, the shower in the master was great! We loved the sun porch and the washer and dryer was a fabulous perk! Dave was great to communicate with and super friendly. We’re looking forward to the 2023 calendar updates to book for new year!

A week in paradise!
David was great to deal with, was quick to respond, and helpful in answering any questions. The home was better than described and had a perfect layout for our family of four. I would highly recommend.

The house 🏡 is a neat bungalow off the beaten path. Close to the beach and the hot tub was a must. We loved seeing the sunset across the way, at the day use park.

We visited slightly off-season and late October for two weeks and the host was extremely accommodating. The walk to the beach is only 5 minutes or so and there are so many public access places around there for the bay as well as the beach that you can also check out. We loved Neptune's Dive Bar where there was a costume contest and karaoke for Halloween.
The hot tub and pool were also wonderful. We got very lucky with warm weather when we went and enjoyed both.
We also really love that sunroom, the wooden smell when the sun cooks it throughout the day is amazing.
We would definitely stay there again and I can't stress enough how quiet that cul-de-sac is. There is very little light pollution in the sky so the stars are always out and shining.

Overall excellent experience
I loved my week+ at David's house in Salvo - it was clean, well taken care of, just the right size, comfortable and a close stroll to the beach. The furnishings and bedding were fresh, there were games and puzzles, the pool and hot tub were clean and ready to be used. David was a responsive host and went the extra mile to make sure everything was taken care of for me. I loved being away from the crowded area of OBX, but close enough to pubs & restaurants to enjoy a meal out. I will definitely recommend to friends and hope to stay again soon!
