Hotel Hirschen - Grindelwald

Wonderful location so close to the train station, highly rated restaurants and the other many attractions. Spacious apartment. Didn't have air-conditioning but the windows could be cracked open and that was plenty. They also had an amazing spread for breakfast and it was included.

The unit did not offer any body lotion as seen in many hotels.

Property was centralized to Grindelwald town. It was walking distance to Grindelwald First cable cars, train station, grocery story, and local shops and restaurants.

There was construction all through the day, and right at the balcony. Unable to enjoy the balcony due to the construction and it was noisy all day.

A really comfortable stay. Felt so homely and spacious, we spent a whole day in the room and watched movies. Breakfast included and they had a great range. Very close to what you need.

Aircon would’ve been fantastic.

-central location close to everything u need while in Grindenwald -good breakfasts with fresh products (but every day the same) -parking available -clean room

-they are supposely dogs friendly but dogs are not allowed in the dining area at all (not even in designated table/place), and this policy changed, we were there with our dog in May and we had breakfast while he was calmly sleeping under the table, we were not informed about that qpproach while we made the reservation although I explicitly mentioned we are traveling with a dog, if we knew it we would definately pick another place, they are plenty of more dog friendly places in Grindenwald, -some sfuff not really nice, the lady at the reception who welcomed us asked us to move the car from one side of parking to the other because other cars left too much spaces (seriously? Another idea to deal with this problem would be to maybe mark the parking spaces?), -no kettle in the room, you cannot make yourself tea or coffee, hot water is only available downstairs close to reception, seriously I have never experienced this in any hotel in Switzerland or in Europe, -no small fridge in the room, -very minimal cosmetics available and they are of very poor quality - only a small soap and shower gel, -the room was very small and the air ventilation in the room is not-existent, which makes sleeping there pretty unpleasant, -the hotel and room requires renovation, it's not particularly pretty either.
