This property is in the perfect location to walk to and enjoy all the restaurants, bars, shops and shows. The house is clean, spacious and has a wonderful backyard patio that we enjoyed every morning and evening. The fish pond with the sounds of the fountain created a tranquil atmosphere. Some reviewers mentioned the stairs, but it wasn't an issue at all. It's not anything out of the ordinary for a historical 2 story home, so nothing to fear! We'd definitely stay again for the spacious bedrooms, private bathrooms, entertaining space, location, décor and cleanliness.

This house is in an excellent location near the river and just a block from The Pirate House restaurant. There are two small squares within walking distance to relax and enjoy the ambience. It is centrally located enough that waits for Uber were very short. You really don't need a car at all unless you are going to Tybee Island or further afield. Our group consisted of active older adults so the stairs mentioned in the property description were not a real concern, but it is important for any other prospective tenants to realize that they could be a concern as both bedrooms are on the second level. It would have been much handier for us as two couples not necessarily doing everything together, if there had been two sets of keys so that we didn't have to store the keys in the outside lockbox (which is very small and not easy to utilize in the dark) in order to come and go seperately. We didn't actually use the kitchen for hardly anything but the coffee maker but is seemed well equipped and adequate for anyone other than a serious foodie. Overall we truly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this property to anyone

It is close to Bay street and River and a block away from the Pirates House Restaurant. The home is generally clean and very well appointed, however it needs a deep clean. The interior windows colonial shutters add much beauty to the decor but have not been dusted in a long time, similarly there’s a dark layer of dust on the ornate white wood window sills, thicker on the upstairs windows. And the black buildup of dust is evident on the upstairs ceiling fans.There is also some mold on the master bathroom shower ceiling. We also noticed a dark rim around the a/c vents at bathroom and kitchen. In the kitchen, the oven only works at broil or bake at 350 preset, and the stove numbers don’t work so it’s impossible to set any other oven temperatures.We generally enjoyed our stay, but beware if you are sensitive to dust/allergies.

We enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect, close to everything. The house is perfect for 4 people, plenty of room. Like others said yes it does have a musty smell when you first arrive but it’s an old home, and we didn’t notice the smell after a little bit. The courtyard is very pretty and relaxing. Everything was very clean. We didn’t like the soap that is there, but just our preference. If you plan to go during hot months be aware the AC can not go below 75, which doesn’t feel so great - but may not bother others. Rental agency is easy to communicate with at any time. We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend.

We had a wonderful visit. The home was immaculate, comfortable, and in a perfect location. I was a bit worried about the previous review that said that the stairs were rickety and that the upstairs rooms were musty, but neither were accurate. It was absolutely perfect. Thank you!

Reviewer Comments: Arriving, parking, and entering the home couldn’t have been easier.Our stay at the Lucky Savannah home started at 8:00pm, 4 adults were unpacked and relaxing within 10-15 minutes. The instructions were clear, simple and without a glitch. We visited Savannah because of a wedding, but stayed 2 extra days to enjoy the city. Our Lucky Savannah home was within a few dozen steps of Bay Street. Anywhere in old Savannah is wonderful but being so close to the river really worked perfectly for us. The back courtyard was an ideal spot to start the day with coffee and end the day socializing with friends. I look forward to heading back again soon. I’ll definitely plan the trip around the availability of this home.

The house was immaculate, and had everything we could need and more. The parking spot was a plus, and coming in through the back was beautiful each and every time. We were close to everything we wanted to see. This house is not for anyone with knee or leg problems. The staircase is very steep. The only thing was that there is a very musty smell, which is probably due to the age of the home. You cannot open windows, as I would not touch the shutters that are part of the charm of the house, as they are very fragile. I don't even know if the windows open. That being said, we enjoyed our stay, and would stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality.

Great location in a classic, historic home. Well appointed. It was a bit noisy, but just bring a sound machine and you'll be fine. The only drawback to being so close to downtown Savannah!

This home is beautiful and wonderfully appointed. Only caution I would pass along would be the staircase. It is terrifying. Very narrow, very shallow treads and shaky railing. And you can't avoid it because the bedrooms are all upstairs.

We checked out this morning but wanted to pass on feedback. The other couple that paid half of the rental had to leave the house and go to the Hyatt and stay for the 2 days. The musty smell of mold made her physically sick. It was very unfortunate they had to pay an additional $500 to stay in town when already paying money. Not happy. Also you may list the steepness of the stairs. My husband is in congestive heart failure and could only take the stairs once a day which left me carrying the luggage.

Loved: the courtyard, the window shutters, the dinning area (overlooking the courtyard!), easy parking, access to everything, the property overall, responsiveness of the property manager to my questions. Didn't Love: Nothing! I only wished the weather was a bit warmer so that means I need to come back in October! :-)

Very well located in the historic district. There is, however, significant street noise and a very annoying barking dog next door. The kitchen was very well supplied and everything worked great. Only two minor issues: poor quality hand soap in the bathrooms and no Kleenex. Otherwise, the property exceeded our expectations. I would add that having to keep the cool temperature on the thermostat set no lower than 75 degrees in the middle of a hot and humid Savannah summer might be unpleasant — particularly for sleeping at night.

None of them. I was thinking I could just open the windows to air the house if it smelled, but nope, painted shut. There are coats of paint on everything from the years, looks like there was a leak in the ceiling above the front door at some point. The paint in the shower ceilings are all cracked and peeling, mold forming in the cracks? House is pretty clean but looking closer there's just dust build up in crevices here and there, again, to be expected, it's an old house.The noise. It's the worst upstairs. You can hear every car and truck go by, it's like it's amplified. And the trolley tour stops In front and you can hear them talk about the colors of the rainbow row house. And as mentioned in the other reviews - those freaking wind chimes across the street! Although once you get used to them , they are kind of calming. We slept ok though, pretty quiet between 11pm and 7
