Meliá Kuala Lumpur

TLDR, I had a wonderful stay at Melia KL. The deets: Through Booking.com, I submitted a request for early check-in and a large bed to accommodate myself and my young daughter (instead of two separate beds), sharing that I was there to celebrate my birthday. A Melia staff, Izzati Iffah (Tati) responded almost immediately, which I appreciated. They continued the communication over email closer to the stay to let me know to expect. When I checked in, I was very happy to find that the room was already available and that they were able to accommodate my bed request. Overall, the hotel is quite lovely. The lobby area is modern and welcoming, the elevator facing the road was fun to ride on (as it had the KL view), the room and bathroom were spacious (unlike some city hotels), it felt like they were recently refurbished with tasteful decor, and the king bed was quite comfortable. The pool looked nice, although we didn't get to take a dip. And the location near the MRT and the Berjaya Times Square Mall across the way (as well as other must-sees that we didn't get to check out) is unbeatable. They dropped off a nice little cupcake as a token for my birthday, which was delightful. The breakfast buffet that we had the next morning was good and not over the top, with western and local options available. I love that they had an egg station, because that's always my go-to for a good healthy omelet. There was plenty of options from nasi lemak, noodles, yogurt, pastries, fruits... so a hearty breakfast is available before a full day in KL. I would recommend Melia if you're looking for a comfortable and nice stay.

The stay was lovely, so I don't have much to complain about. Maybe one: the birthday cupcake could have been less dry :)

Did not use any of the facilities. But the front desk staff n door man were very friendly.

The Constant heavy traffic just on the roads. but that is not your issue. haha

Location, great staff, comfortable beds. Level room was lovely and the extras such as unlimited tea, coffee, soft drinks in level lounge all day and free cocktails and snacks between 5-7pm were great.
