Incredible location, warm staff, upscale design. The personnel was accommodating when I arrived a few hours before check-in, allowing me to get into my room around 13:00 which was much appreciated after an international flight.
I compared the prices midweek vs weekend and the weekend rates were double. It was all perfectly fine but hardly worth $1500 for two nights. The pillows were synthetic and the linens cheap. Five stars means attention to detail across the board, especially in a cosmopolitan city like Madrid.

Our stay at NH Collection Madrid Suecia was pleasant. Everything was fine, the room was comfortable, and the service was good. The location was convenient, and overall we had a smooth and enjoyable stay.

This isn't a 5-star hotel; the price doesn't match the service. Upon check-in, I was put in a room no more than 9 square meters. I couldn't open the closet drawers because the doors were pressed against the bed and wouldn't open all the way. I had to argue for a long time to get moved to a normal room. The breakfasts were terrible. Overall, this is the worst 5-star hotel I've ever stayed in.
