It was very clean and had everything you need including shampoo conditioner, soap, and a washing machine. I think it's the owner's personality. They were very kind from beginning to end. I definitely want to see you again.

No nearby places to eat so bought food at local supermarket.

A very nice house stay on the glorious Uradome coast! Easy to find once you've reached the coast on foot (2 km from the station) or by town bus (Chôei Chûshajô-mae stop). Simple Japanese-style room, good facilities. If you're lucky with the dates, the owner hosts a "children's canteen" twice a month, a chance to enjoy a home meal with other travellers and locals.

Not a problem with the guest house itself, but definitely be aware: there seem to be nearly no restaurants open in the evening at Iwami! Evidently the town considers itself a day-trip destination, and the nearest konbini is 1 km inland. Another guest said to me that he felt very lucky to be staying on "children's canteen" day - "she [the owner] saved my life with that curry!"

For me I wanted be near the beach and it did exactly that.

I’m not a hater so it was all good

The owner is perfect. Just the right balance between treating me personally (going as far as buying me a cake for my birthday) and treating me as a client. The location is amazing, too. Literally three minutes walk from the sea. Although, if you don't have a car, you will have a nice 30min walk here from the station.

Everything was either good or great, except maybe that more soundproofed walls would be awesome.

The care taker was great. The place is comfortable for basis’ stay overnight.

It’s a really lovely location, a bit far from the station but the host kindly picked me up and dropped me off so it was still very convenient. She even accommodated a last minute time change as my train was very delayed. She was so kind and friendly!
