Nicely appointed and very clean, this unit is close to transit, the museums and Jordan district. Jolene is a gem!

All the many little touches, the Stroopwafles at the kitchen table plus water & beer in fridge plus the lovely postcard greeting us made us feel very welcome.
Jolien herself was so very warm & friendly. She went above & beyond to make our stay comfortable. The location was excellent, within walking distance to several restaurants & main attractions.
The stairs were steep for a couple in their 70’s especially with the amount of luggage we had. They weren’t a problem at normal times as were coming & going. Jolien helped us with our luggage which she didn’t have to do.

Everything at Jo's place was amazing! The location, decoration, cleanliness... If you are looking for a place to stay in Amsterdam. Stop looking and go to Jo's place!!!

the host is so lovely and the room is stunning as well as the location.
the steps going up are pretty narrow but that’s the slight struggle you get when you get to stay in a stunning character home.

Great location, very 'stylish' apartment with care for small details. The balcony is a great addition !. The place is super clean and we would defiantly recommend it to each of our friends visiting Amsterdam.
, The bed is divide in 2 separate mattresses though each is super comfortable

Jo's is located in the "inner centre" close to the prime canals yet close to Amsterdam Zuid with its lovely museums and shopping streets.

My best friend & I stayed at Jo’s for the weekend and we loved it so much. The apartment was the most atmospheric & comfy place we’ve ever stayed at. :)

Large space, comfy bed, lovely patio, quiet street close to everything, tea making facilities and a small fridge.
Highly scented bed and bath linens. No TV (although that is in the small print if you read carefully, I didn’t.)

Everything! Jolien has a beautiful home, it is very comfortable, and clean and feels like a home away from home. Jolien does not miss anything when it comes to having everything you need whilst you're there. The location is spot on! Fantastic! Easy access to all the best shops and markets and she even leaves recommendations on where to eat, visit and things to do.
I would highly recommend Jo's place 100% and will definitely stay again should we return to Amsterdam.
Nothing! I cannot think of a single thing that I didn't like. I loved the whole stay.

The property is so beautiful, everywhere was designed and decorated so perfectly, from the tiles in the bathroom to the small details on the windowsill. It is the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by outside. The whole place was super clean and tidy, the added gift of the waffles went down a treat! Just amazing.
Nothing.

The location is good . ln the old part of Amsterdam with canals, restaurants and shops nearby . 5-10mins walk to the main museums. Jolien was an excellent host and gave as a thorough introduction to the room and the neighbourhood on arrival
Nothing of note

Warm and cosy room (we stayed for a few chilly days in November), decorated with bags of character. The room is spotlessly clean. Jo is delightful and has thought of absolutely every little thing that you might want during your stay. Shampoo, blankets, some snacks, tea and coffee - you name it, it's all there! Even a cute souvenir cupboard. The location is perfect - in a quiet street but walking distance to most things. Would we stay here again? - absolutely!
I'm hard pushed to think of anything....but....we noticed a slight mechanical noise, a kind of muffled banging, which we suspect was pipes or a boiler that went off a few times an hour in the night. We got used to it very quickly and assume most people won't even notice but it could be bothersome for very, very light sleepers.

Super convenient location in Amsterdam! Jo was very friendly, providing you with all the relevant information upfront and just being in the other end of the phone if you needed anything! I would highly recommend!

The house is located in a central part of the city of Amsterdam. but on a quiet street. Near the house there are many shops and nice restaurants. The house contains everything you need to make your stay pleasant and wonderful. It also has a small lawn and a beautiful yard. The house is big and very clean. It also has a small library for adults and children. There are forms with tourist information and instructions that make your visit to Amsterdam pleasant and easy.
Julien, the owner of the apartment, is a special person with a kind character. She is always discreetly by your side in whatever you need.
From the first moment of our meeting, she made us feel happy and lucky to have met her.
We thank Julien for the hospitality she offered us.

The location was perfect - within easy walking distance of all the major museums as well as dining and shopping. Jo's guesthouse is spacious and even includes an outdoor deck. She provides for everything - tea, coffee, a small fridge, tea kettle, maps and tourist info as well as cups, wine glasses, etc. The place was clean and well-appointed. Also, Jo is very responsive and will come to your rescue if you need something.
It was perfect for us. But if you want a television (why?), there is not one in the guesthouse. Also, this is run more like an air BNB than a "hotel" so there is no service every day - make your own bed! There are plenty of extra towels so unless you're a nut for maid service, it's just fine. The guesthouse is on the first floor (2nd for Americans) and the staircase if very steep and narrow so just be aware of that if you have mobility issues.

I came here for my 21st birthday trip and Jo was so accommodating, with a happy birthday banner and a cake as well as a card! The apartment was lovely and clean and comfortable, great location and a cute terrace with Halloween decorations where we could sit in the evening.
Could not fault this properly in any way at all, it was perfect and exactly what we wanted for our stay in Amsterdam. Would 100% recommend ❤️

The place was very clean and on a quieter street. Jo had many thoughtful touches: vases of flowers, fruit, water, extra towels. Jo offered really good recommendations for transportation services, restaurants that met our needs, and so on. She also offered to freshen up the place because we were there for a longer stay. We would definitely come back.

Location was perfect, 10-15 mins away from Dam Square. Close enough to be in the buzz of centre, but far away enough from the mammoth of crowds
Could have maybe have had a TV in the room, and Wifi wasn't the strongest. They're no way negatives though as location and decor well made up for it

Perfect location. Jolien had thought of everything- tea, coffee, fridge, glasses, hairdryer, and much more
Nothing- the steps are steep like all old properties in Amsterdam so wouldn’t suit if you struggled with mobility
