Located in Alaska, this charming cabin for $257 per night is a great option for your next trip. Our North Pole Cabin Retreat is a great place to come for a day, a week, or a month or more. A person can experience life in Alaska in comfort. Our log cabin was built in 2002 and has had many guests over the years. We provide housing year round, and winter or summer the cabin is warm, dry, and safe. Running water is a must, as are clean comfortable beds. The cabin has two queen beds, kitchenette, full private bath, BBQ and picnic area outside. Parking is nearby. We are only 2 miles from grocery, dentist, medical, gas stations, gift shops, dining establishments, churches and bars. Although you are close to the comforts of everyday living, it will seem as if you are a long way out in the woods. We are located in a private, wooded property with a waterway flowing by. In summer there are many nesting ducks. There are many wild flowers growing all around, as well as hanging baskets of flowers we plant for your enjoyment.

We had a great stay at this cabin. It kept us warm even though it was -40F. You will find everything you need in it. Our host Nancy was super helpful and gave us toe warmers and tips for things we could do. The area is very quiet but easy to access by car.
We would definitely book this cabin again to experience the area in a different season.

Nancy is a very pro-active host and she gave many recommendations on activities todo.
The place is small and cozy, a perfect winter getaway.
The house was at good temperature even though outside was -40F.
Nancy also provided an option to park close to the house and she would bring electric hookup to keep car warm.
A must stay place to relax and enjoy the winter.

Our family of four stayed in this cabin for 6 nights in the heart of winter to explore Alaska and hunt for the Northern Lights. We were so happy we stayed at this cabin. The cabin is located in a great location where you feel like you're in a true winter wonderland in a very quiet, wooded area but within 3 minutes of a Safeway and several restaurants (Wendy's, Taco Bell, a great tamale stand, etc...). Our main goal was to see the Northern Lights, and this cabin is located a short and easy 7-10-minute drive to Chena Lake (depending on where on the lake you go). Chena Lake is an incredible place to view the Northern Lights. This same lake is where Rod's Alaskan Guide Service does their ice fishing and dog sledding Northern Lights tours. The cabin is also well furnished, well supplied, and was very cozy for all of us, including our two younger teenage daughters. The heater worked great, had running water (which we learned is not a given for rural places in Alaska), and we never ran out of hot water. Taking hot showers was a huge plus when you're living in -30 degree temps. The owner (Northpole Nancy) was very responsive before and during our stay and we maintained excellent communication with her. She is also extremely knowledgeable of the area and provided us with great tips during our stay.

Stayed here for 5 days during Christmas time. The cabin was in a beautiful area sort of tucked away behind the trees which I just LOVED. You cross a pretty creek getting to it, and there’s a little coffee place RIGHT across from that. Even though it has that nice tucked away & secluded feel, it is still super close to everything in North Pole, which was a nice convenience. Only about 20-30 mins from Fairbanks, and about 1hr 15 min to Chena Hot Springs resort. Nancy herself was also really friendly and helpful. She was pretty flexible with my booking as well, which I really appreciated. She shoveled a walkway for us when we truly wouldn’t have minded walking in the snow, provided lots of brochures in the cabin to check out, and was super quick and helpful in her responses. She was friendly enough to check in on us & make sure we were always good. Overall, an AMAZING stay! 10/10 would recommend.

I booked my stay at Nancy’s after doing some reset about the area and noticing my initial accommodations were about an hour’s drive from everything I wanted to do. Nancy was super communicative from my initial inquiry until I left, offering info about local places to try and catch the Northern Lights. I was not disappointed. :)
The cabin is in a back corner of Nancy’s property and has all the basics. There’s a coffee machine (which saved my life while trying to catch the lights on 4 hours of sleep), dishes, towels, extra pillows, books about Alaska and the Aurora Borealis and so much more! I ventured up to the loft area and while it it quite spacious, I opted to stay on the ground level. Overall, my stay at Nancy’s was the perfect way to celebrate my 30th birthday and I am so thankful for her hospitality.
I would love to come back in the summer and experience Alaska and Nancy’s place.

This cute little cabin was comfortable for my husband and I to stay at for 7 days. Everything was cleanmwhen we arrived and our host even came in to tidy up a few days into our stay. The pond in back of the cabin gave us a nice view of the ducks swimming around during the day.
The location is central to grocery stores and not too far from downtown Fairbanks for some nice dinners.
The only drawback is that the second bed is located in a loft that has a steep staircase. Because we are both senior citizens and did not want to deal with a potential injury on our vacation, we did not use it, so we just cuddled up on the bed on the main floor. All in all, it was terrific and made our 25th Anniversary quite special.

Clean, cozy, small cabin. Convient and close in to Fairbanks and surrounding area. Owner was friendly.
It was a little too close to the owners house but it wasn't a problem for us as we were gone most of the time.
