The check in process for this stay was a night mare. We were provided codes for the garage, building, and unit that were all INCORRECT. Thankfully we arrived in the evening and were able to call the property manager, and I was grateful that we arrived earlier than anticipated.
The unit itself is as described. The walls are paper thin and we could hear the party above us the whole night. But the location is perfect for skiing--5 minute walk to the gondola.

Perfect Location, Clean, Comfortable and everything needed for a easy and convenient stay in Mammoth.

This is a great location for easy access to the mountain, restaurants, and the events in the village.

Communication with the property manager was great. The unit is as described. Recently remodeled, very clean, great amenities, and in a great location. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay here and would recommend it. Short walk to the gondola.

The unit is all new (building is old). Kitchen is small and sufficient. Don’t expect to make a big meal (smaller than standard size stove / oven). Kitchen is well stocked. Location is as close as you can possibly get to the village without actually staying in a village condo. True that it’s just 100 steps (or less) to village gondola. Underground parking is a big bonus during the winter - as we were there during big storms. We will come back, but it was a bit tight with two adults and one teen son (just our preference that we probably should pay for a two bedroom). With one or two younger kids it would be enough room. Very happy with it overall!

The unit meets all our needs. We love it for the proximately to the village. We stay at this complex every year. Since we eat out the entire time, the small kitchen suits us just fine with a small fridge and microwave for leftovers, but it has an oven/stove and seems well stocked for those that need it.

No Pride of Ownership - Definition of Deferred Maintenance
As other reviewers have said, this condo has a great location. That’s the only positive thing I can say about it. It’s dated and shows a total disregard for upkeep or about your quality of your stay. The bed sagged in the middle. The pull-out bed in the couch worn out and has a bent frame. It’s as bad as you can imagine. The bedroom heater failed on us as it has on numerous other reviewer’s stays. The directions to fix it are pathetically unclear as are the general instructions about the condo. Kitchen faucet is loose and just adds to the annoyances. No supplies for lighting a fire were provided, but there was some wood. The hot water is the biggest problem. The water heater is small 38-gallons, but if you bring it up as an issue, Becky will tell you it’s your fault for taking too long of a shower. For a family of four, we had to split showers to morning and night because of it. Enjoy that after the hot tub! Not a single sharp knife in the drawer. Non-stick cookware is old, scratched and isn’t non-stick. Too many other flaws to list, but think single-ply TP and use your imagination.

Location is wonderful! Easy to get to slopes and restaurants. The place itself was very cozy and nicely set up with good supplies. It is an older building and apartment that could use some updating. Nonetheless less the stay was very comfortable. The heater in the bedroom stopped working. I wrote to the owner, Becky, who responded within 24 hours with a reset suggestion which did not work. While there, luckily it was warm enough to not need it but if it were colder it would have been a real problem. Overall, I recommend this place.

Overall great experience! Very classic mammoth and rustic. Nice size! Communication was good!
Fridge very small. It’s so close to the gondola and very good parking. Steps from the village!
The only complaint I have is that we only had 3 rolls of toilet paper for 5 nights. If you plan ahead or don’t mind picking some up you’ll be fine.

This unit is perfectly located next to the Village gondola and shops. The condo was very clean and comfortable. There is an elevator just down the hall that makes getting luggage up to the second floor very easy.

Our family ended up leaving after the first night in this rental. It didn't live up to the description. Although it had been cleaned, we were overwhelmed with the smell of smoke upon arrival. We found the carpet to be old and gross (especially in bathrooms) and didn't feel comfortable cooking in the kitchen. The mattress for the pull out bed in living room was dirty and there were human hairs on the old blankets in the closet which our kids needed to sleep on the bed. The parking instructions were confusing as others have mentioned. I would NOT recommend this rental to other families!

I didn’t realize Fireside was one of the older buildings so the insulation between the other apartments isn’t great, you can definitely hear the neighbors however, this place is very homey and I would definitely recommend it. Great location

If your goal is to be on the ski mountain with ease, this is your place. There was a snow storm when we were there so the indoor pool and hot tub were a godsend for our kids.Overall this is a great place, although a bit confusing finding it and where to go in the dark. Luckily the building manager spotted us looking confused in the parking garage and guided us to the right building. (Which is an awesome thing to have when it's snowing!)The kitchen is SUPER dinky so cooking for a family of 4 was a not exactly easy but we managed.

Amazing location....but....
If your goal is to stay steps from the Village, this is a place to consider. Seriously amazing location. The challenge is that the unit is dated and tired. Although clean, if you like shiny new things, this is not the place for you. We stayed 5 days. Took two days and several phone calls with management to get the internet up and running. They were responsive which was comforting. The aging heater in the bedroom did not work right away, had to make a couple of phone calls. Only three heat sources. One in bedroom and an old wall unit in main room. Plus the fireplace that we did not use. There is carpeting around the toilet. We put the provided sink rug in front of it to feel a bit more sanitary. The kitchen is tiny but functional. No dishwasher. The dining table was falling apart so we did not have meals together. Two toilets were definitely a perk. Perhaps the biggest issue that was difficult to deal with was the layout of our unit in conjunction with the unit upstairs. Occupants upstairs quarreled loudly and often and we heard everything for days...even woke us up several times during the nights. A locked set of doors in the entryway seemed to link upstairs? and voices carried into our unit, like they were standing right there disagreeing at high volume with each other. Disconcerting. In conclusion; Pro: Location is FANTASTIC plus heated underground parking. Con: dated and not completely private.

Location, location, location
We are so pleased with the location of this rental in the village, steps away from Mammoth Brewing. This is the second time we've stayed. The unit meets all our needs and is comfortable. We can look of the balcony to see what's going on at Mammoth Brewing. The kitchen is small, but we don't do any cooking during our stay. It would accomodate simple meals, and there are several eateries within walking distance.

Excellent location!
Perfect location to catch the gondola, explore restaurants. My son loved the pool/hot tub. Only complaint we had was how hot it was the first night. Owner said she'll add some fans.

There were a couple things that weren't right. The anchors for the curtain rod over the sliding glass doors had pulled out and the curtains were about to fall. The handle for the faucet over the kitchen sink had fallen off the faucet and it appeared to be broken. The faucet was barely operable. We notified the condo owner, Becky Hindle, and she made arrangements for a handyman to fix these things. It worked out. The handyman came within 2 days and these things were fixed. Everything else was fine to include the indoor pool and upstairs gameroom, washer and dryer and the garage. I have to say Becky was very polite and responsive. All in all we enjoyed our time at 209 Fireside Village. It was just about right for my wife and I. It was very clean and quiet. We would do it again. I want to thank Becky for her quick response and attention to our needs.

After a few hiccups upon arrival, the place had not been cleaned prior to our late night arrival, the owner did a good job of accommodating us and providing the necessary compensation for the inconvenience. An upgrade was provided to the other space in which the owner also owns, as well as, a return of our cleaning deposit. Though the mishaps continued the next day, with a further miscommunication with the cleaning crew and the food we had left in the fridge in the prior place before moving, I was satisfied with the convenience at which the owner communicated with us until all was settled. The place boasts easy access to the garage and facility. It is within walking distance of the village which has great restaurants and small stores and is only minutes away from Mammoth's main lodge. We found the location absolutely ideal. The accommodations were as expected based on pictures. Both places are nicely kept, though not very modernized. I would stay here again.

Convenient, Comfortable and Great Location
Until I arrived, I had no idea how close this property is to the village and the Gondola up to Mammoth. This is a big plus...all we had to do was walk out to the backside of the building and a quick stroll to the gondola. So nice not to have to load snow gear into vehicle and then drive up. The condo was very comfortable and having the 2nd bathroom made a huge difference. It definitely helps when everyone is trying very hard to get ready in the morning to head up to the slopes. Everything worked great and the heater in the living room and the bedroom kept things cozy during the night. Will definitely request to stay here again!!

Great Overall Experience and Excellent Location!
Thank you, Becky, for sharing your home with us and ensuring we had a wonderful stay. The unit was as described and the pictures are current. We loved being in the village and being able to walk to the gondola, shops, restaurants, and Starbucks! This is really important to my wife and I as we have a 3 yr old and 5 month old, location and ease of getting to and from the mountain is fantastic! I read reviews of a small kitchen, rug issues, etc. We found the kitchen to be as described and worked well for our needs. We put a cooler of food in the small fridge and did not need to use the larger one in the front entry area. We had no issues cooking in the kitchen, with the rugs or closing doors. The complex was great, we enjoyed the indoor pool and jacuzzi each night with the kids. We would definitely return, especially considering the value of this unit versus what other places charge to stay in the village. I'd also point out the owner was very accommodating before, during, and after our stay with easy communication via phone and email - this is a rare nicety that we have not found in our dozens of stays annually at other locations. Thank you!!
