Nestled in Big Bear, this lovely house for $154 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Summary: This cabin is in an excellent location, on a quiet street just steps away from Snow Summit Resort, and it's also just a 3-minute drive to the lake and village. The cabin can comfortably sleep 6 guests with a twin bed and queen bed in one bedroom and a twin bed and double bed in the other bedroom. The living area has high ceilings and a cozy log burning fireplace, perfect for relaxing after a long day of activities The Space: The kitchen is fully stocked with dishware, pots and pans, glasses, cooking utensils, and other necessary items. The cabin also offers fast Spectrum WiFi, a flat screen TV downstairs with a DVD/VCR player, and an HD flat screen TV upstairs with Roku streaming devices to watch Spectrum cable and your favorite apps. The backyard is fenced, and there is a cement patio with a propane BBQ for outdoor cooking. The six-foot privacy fence helps to keep kids and pets safe and secure. Early Valentine's weekend getaway. Cute little cabin, perfect for our party of 2 plus our mini Schnauzer. Clean, quiet, large and comfy living room with a wood burning fireplace. Location is awesome with just a 5 minute walk to Snow Summit!! Loved walking the dog in the neighborhood in the morning and after snowboarding. Close to restaurants and grocery stores. We had a great experience in this property! Mario was extremely communicative and quick to respond. We will definitely come back and refer to friends & family.

This property needs some updates, but was adequate for our needs. The location was perfect as it was within walking distance to the ski lift. The recliner had a broken spring, so couldn’t sit in it comfortably. The heating was too hot in one bedroom and too cold in the other, but we used the plug in heater at night.
Overall, we loved our stay. We are just more used to properties with more modern flooring and bedding. I’d advise renters to bring their own softer toilet paper. (The provided toilet paper was brutal.)
Also all beds are up steep stairs which is difficult for seniors if you need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night…which is downstairs. I almost fell as the railing is only on one side. A second railing would be helpful.

This cabin was perfect for our stay. This place has a fenced in yard so we could let our dog outside to run and play. My son and his friends all loved how this cabin was close to the slopes. I will definitely be coming back.

Came for a couple days with our family and dog and had a great experience in this property! The host was extremely communicative and got back to us right away and always made sure we had everything we needed and accommodated to everything we asked for. The cabin is perfect size for a small family, we brought our dog too and he loved the backyard, we loved it because it was fully fenced. Would totally stay here again! Everything was super clean and just an overall great experience.

This was our 2nd time booking this cabin and we still love it. We come up to Big Bear to ski/board and this cabin is walking distance to to slopes. It was perfect for our family of five. The host got back to me quickly answering my questions. I would book again!

Great location! The kitchen is lacking in numerous items. There weren’t any kitchen towels, except the one hanging in the oven, which fell. There were no hot pads to take items out of the oven. Also, the oven did not work very well. Potatoes were in for an hour and did not cook hardly at all. Oven knobs were very hot to touch. Seemed like a fire hazard.

Cozy Ski Cabin
Our family wanted a cozy get away before Christmas and got exactly what we asked for with this home. The cabin-like atmosphere was perfect for the winter break, creating a ideal ambiance. The slopes at Summit Resort are a 2 minute car drive, or about a 10-minute walk. A bit cumbersome to walk there with ski/snowboard gear, but not an issue if you rent your equipment at the restort.
The beds were a little firm, but they are memory form so eventually you sink in and have a comfortable sleep. The rooms themselves (especially what was the de facto master bedroom and the bathroom) are a little cold, but space heaters are provided which solves that issue.
The only slight critique is the decore. While everything was very clean and neatly kept, the carpets and bedding are a little dated. You also have to take a 5 minute drive to empty the trash as there is noting on sight.
Overall, if you are looking for a reasonably priced, cozy winter cabin close to a ski resort, this is a excellent choice.

Short October get-away
I chose this property because of the fenced in yard since we were bringing our 2 year old yellow lab. It did not disappoint. It had all the amenities and was very clean. A beautiful neighborhood in a great location.

Roomy & comfy
Nice spacious living room & good-sized bedrooms (even with two beds in each!). Beds are firm, the heat works well, the reclining couches are very comfortable, & the house is on a relatively quiet street very close to Snow Summit. My dog enjoyed the backyard & although it was a bit too chilly to hang outside @ night, there are plenty of chairs out there & you can see a surprising number of stars through the trees.

Check-in done via email, house was very clean and cozy, communication with owner was easy, very much appreciated fenced back yard for our dog. Property is in walking distance of ski lodge/mountain biking. Being from Las Vegas, our favorite thing was the cool weather and tall pine trees!

Comfy, comfy cabin!
I really enjoyed staying at the Summit House! It was super clean, the couches in the living room were very comfortable. The dining table was nice. The beds were great! The cabin is located within walking distance to Snow Summit. It is about a mile from town and about a mile from grocery stores and drug stores, the dollar store. The food in the area is very good. We rented a patio boat and that was really fun!
A couple of things that made my stay better: they had propane and charcoal grills, you can take your pick; I brought my own skillet, griddle, pancake flipper, wine bottle opener, and I'm glad that I did. The cabin had absolutely everything else. If you have small dogs - beware. We did see a coyote.

2nd timeback, because its a great place
Love the location - SO close to Snow Summit (walk), ease of access, space, cozy, just a relaxing place when I come to Spartan Race. It has everything we need. The owner is very cool, easy to work with, responsive, flexible. If we keep racing there, I will keep coming back.

Great little cabin!
We loved staying at Summit Haus! It was clean and cozy. The fenced backyard was perfect for our kids and dogs to play. The location is PERFECT!! You can walk right to Snow Summit.
The living room is spacious and nicely furnished. Both bedrooms are upstairs and one of the bedrooms is a loft that is open to the living area below. If you have light sleepers, that room would not be good. The back bedroom is quiet and dark, perfect for light sleepers. The only bathroom is downstairs. The stairs A bit steep and the landing is very small. When you exit a bedroom you are right at the top of the stairs- this made me nervous that my kids might fall down the stairs in the middle of the night. A pressure mounted gate would have eased my mind. Other than that, the cabin was great!! Lots of extra blankets, plenty of towels, comfy pillows, well stocked kitchen, WiFi, cable tv with On Demand...no dishwasher, so bring disposables if you don’t want to hand wash.

One of our favorite cabins we’ve rented in Big Bear. Cozy, comfortable, we loved the fireplace and recliner chairs and sofa seats. Back yard was perfect for our dog.

Perfect getaway
We were very pleased with the layout and cleanliness of this property. Mario let us know right off to let him know if there was anything we needed. It turned out everything we wanted was already there. The back yard was perfect for a dog as well. There was a very private fenced in yard to barbecue and relax. We even had a couple games of horseshoes.The Wi-Fi was very high speed as well. We are already planning another trip for next year. It is located very close to the village as well. Had we gone during ski season you could practically walk to the lifts.
