Great atmosphere and decor. Nicely laid out with plenty of space for everyone. Bathrooms were clean with plenty of hot water. Shared spaces were clean and organized. The cafe was so nice to have on premasiss. Plenty of free parking right outside. Breakfast right there is a plus and well thought out for all ages. We had 3 rooms accommodating 8 adults and everyone loved their stay. I highly recommend staying here .
Nothing. Loved the place

Breakfast was good (not expensive), and staff were friendly. Room and bathrooms were clean.
It was a little noisy, but that’s because there were kids in the rooms nearby.

The location couldn’t be beat - right in the heart of things. The shared rooms were bright and close to the kitchen and shared bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked although we couldn’t locate any salt and pepper. The cafe staff were very helpful when we arrived a bit early.
The doors to the shared rooms have very fancy locks with codes to unlock the door. The only problem is that the lock and door was loud when it opened so if you had to use the toilet while your friend/partner was sleeping just opening the door each time would wake them up! A small thing but we ended up keeping the door cracked so we could each sleep through the night without waking each other up.

The location was excellent and the cleanliness was outstanding. The kitchen was very well setup and I loved the focus on recycling everything 😊

Great place to stay! We had a room for 4 people and had our private toilet. The showers were shared, in the downstairs part and were absolutely fine, very clean and spacious. The common area and kitchen were really nice too, the kitchen was fully equipped and there even was some free food (apart from the essentials) we could use (e.g. peanut butter). Located right on the harbour. Good stay!

It's a bit expensive for what it offers.

The room was very small. No place to put things. I did not like the number key system. Too impersonal. I like human contact. I’m

The hotel is located in the small village of Stykkisholmur in the Snaefellsnes peninsula. The room was comfortable (good bed) and the minimal decoration was stylish compared to other hotels in Iceland. The heating worked well. The shared showers (separated F/M) were spacious and hot water worked well, all was very clean and pleasantly smelled of vanilla/patchouli. The shared kitchen is well equipped, there is a variety of tea sorts and several devices to make coffee (ground coffee and filters are there). There is also a common area for self-made meals with a sea view. Left early, hence did not have the opportunity to check breakfast. There is a good restaurant next door.

Confortable, sinple, clean.
Showers looked unappealing. Good otherwise.

The hostess was quite helpful to provide useful information on eating and sight-seeing in the surrounding area. The location is just one step from the harbor, which is important for travelers to take ferries. The hostel is decorated with many old furniture and carpets, which makes a nostalgia atmosphere for old days.
There is no basin and toilet in the room. Considering it is a family-run hostel with economic charges, using public bathroom is not an unbearable issue.

Communication with the guesthouse was great! The manager had to move me to another property due to an overbooking at Sjávarborg but everything went seamlessly to me (and I got a room with my own bathroom) and she was able to accommodate my late arrival. Thank you!
