About this house rental
Located in Philadelphia, this charming house for $345 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. This property is an entire two bedroom and two bath home on 3 stories plus a basement with washer and dryer and a roof deck. It is spacious because it is double wide - two trinity houses were combined. Located on a charming street in Philadelphia only a few blocks from historic sites like Independence Mall, City Hall and the Liberty Bell and longer walk to Philadelphia Art Museum, it is in trendy neighborhood with many top rated restaurants and shops. The first floor has a living room and an eat-in fully equipped kitchen. The house has central heat and air conditioning. The 2nd floor has a den with fireplace and large screen TV. The bedroom on this floor has a queen bed. There is a full bath with a shower. The 3rd floor bedroom has a queen bed and one daybed in the dressing area. There is no door between the bed room and dressing area but it is around the corner. There is a full bathroom with a shower/tub combination on this floor. There is shared garden area in the back and there is seating and a cool view on the roof deck. The house has many amenities: wood fireplace, dishwasher, laundry, coffee maker, microwave, full refrigerator and all the essentials are there (fresh towels, linens, extra blankets, soap, hair dryer, etc.). Just a few blocks from the PA Convention Center, a block from the Kimmel Center and near the heart of all the historic sights Philadelphia. This home has a lot to offer - a cool neighborhood with many top rated restaurants and bars, close to grocery stores and a short subway ride to South Philadelphia Sport Complex - home to Eagles, Phillies, 76ers and the Flyers. Our home is in the middle of the Washington Square West neighborhood and it was built in 1858. It is one of the oldest and most historic areas in Philadelphia. The neighborhood is residential with historic townhouses, but also walking distance to everything in Philadelphia including many restaurants, bars, & attractions. The Pennsylvania Convention Center, Rittenhouse Square, Old City, Society Hill, South Street, Bella Vista, and Graduate Hospital are all within a five to ten minute walk. You'll find everything you might need within walking distance including a corner store, coffee shops, Whole Foods, a wine/liquor store, CVS and many top rated bars and restaurants! **Like most houses built in the period, please be aware that this property has somewhat steep stairs. The stairs to the roof deck are VERY steep and shallow. It is not handicapped accessible. Public transportation (bus and subway) is easily accessible. A bus stop and the subway stop (Broad Street Line) are a few blocks away. The house is within walking distance to two major train stations (Suburban Station and Jefferson Station). 30th Street Station is a ten minute Uber/Lyft/cab ride. The airport is 25 minutes by Subway or twenty minute by Uber/Lyft/cab ($28.50 is the set fare for cab + $1 for additional passengers) Uber, Lyft, and taxis are all readily available in the area. There is also an Indego bike share station just a couple blocks from the house. Because our home is located on a car-free street in the heart of the city, nearby street parking can be limited. We want to make your stay in our home in Philadelphia pleasant so please let us know how we can help!

The property was just as it looked in the photos online, very cozy and on a quiet street in a great part of town. It was clean, had plenty of extra blankets and pillows. Beth, the owner, also sent very detailed instructions that were great for navigating the area. Couldn't have been better

We had a family wedding at the Kimmel Center nearby. Great house and location! We’ll be coming back

We loved having our own little unique home in the heart of the city. We were able to walk to nearly everywhere we wanted to go (within 15 min!). The roof deck was dreamy and we spent the afternoons up there under the trees. We loved the cozy den to relax and sometimes watch Netflix. Highly recommended for those who need a bit more space.

Will definitely be back!
Thank You!😉

Short subway ride to sports complex, everything else was walking distance.
House was great, had a glass of wine on the roof. Showers were great, beds were comfortable. The lay out gave us space, yet brought us together. Plenty of dishes and other household items as well. Thank you so much Beth, this vacation was amazing.

We loved the house and neighborhood!

The location was so convenient and the space really worked for our family. One of us had to do some work while there and another had to do a remote class and no one felt cramped. The rooftop balcony was fun but it was 95 when we were there so too hot to really enjoy it.

GREAT PLACE AND CENTRAL TO HISTORICAL SITES, SHOPPING DISTRICTS AND MINUTES FROM THE SPORTS COMPLEX. A MUST STAY IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO TRAVEL TO PHILADELPHIA. OWNER BETH IS COMPLETELY HELPFUL AND GREAT TO WORK WITH.

We enjoyed our stay in the Philadelphia Row House. The location was perfect and we were able to walk and use the hop on, hop off busses for transportation. The neighborhood is fun and we loved the quiet street we were on. Our group consisted of teens through a senior citizen and the house worked for us. The stairs are steep, so step carefully.

We loved staying at Beth's house! Very clean, comfortable, spacious historic house, with lots of restaurants and things to do right outside the door. Tucked away on a nice quiet street. The roof deck is private and surrounded by trees with a lovely view of the city. Beth is very responsive and friendly.

Obviously, Beth's place is in a great location. But it's also a tastefully renovated historical building with a quaint shared courtyard. The rooftop deck is amazing (stairs are steep and tight). Very well stocked and excellent communication. Only drawback is parking, but easily managed with advance planning. I hope to return soon. Book early. Beth and her place are 5 Stars for sure.

This house has a great location - close to excellent restaurants and all the the points of local interest. I would return to this property if I visited Philadelphia again. The photos and descriptions by the owner are all accurate. By the way, the owner is available in real time to assist as needed.

What a great little property tucked away in a prime location! The house is darling and well appointed with all the amenities. It's walkable to excellent attractions. For us, we enjoyed the ballet, restaurants and the Christmas Market.
The host is an excellent communicator and proactively offered information to answer all our questions. She was helpful in offering parking info and was flexible in offering to adjust our visit timeline as weather impacted our arrival date. We enjoyed a great visit in the city and would highly recommend this property.
Hope to visit again!

We had a wonderful time staying in the townhouse for the week. Our friend was showing in the craft show at the convention center and we wanted a nice place for the week. This town house was it. Great location, many restaurants and bars, and situated on a quiet, tree-lined street. The kitchen is nicely equipped, which made meal prep easy and local grocery stores are a short walk away. We had a great week!

The listing for this home is accurate. It's comfortable, spacious, well stocked and perfectly located in a quiet area that is in walking distance to all the Center City has to offer. The host was responsive and so easy to communicate with and left a special touch for us in honor of the fact that we were in town for our daughter's wedding reception. We would definitely stay again.

We liked being able to walk nearly everywhere or easily catch a bus to where we wanted to go. It is close to many great restaurants. Weather was warm enough to enjoy the rooftop area one day. Just as pictured.

We loved this charming and renovated brick row house on a quaint and tiny street. We felt we had taken a step into the city’s past yet had all modern conveniences. The steep flights of stairs to the bedrooms got us in shape for the Rocky Run We walked everywhere. Close to some really nice neighborhood restaurants and grocers. Roof top deck and shared downstairs garden great for afternoon read or glass of wine.

Great property for a walk through American history. Historic Old City and all it has to offer was our main focus of this Philadelphia Getaway. The house was in a great location for a daily walk to the historic district. Loved staying on a quiet, cobblestone residential street with trees, flags and historic markers. Elfreth's Alley, Museum of the American Revolution, Independence Hall, Betsy Ross House, Once Upon a Nation Story Bench, Counter Dining at Reading Terminal Market, and Washington Square were some favorite locations. Food is abundant and just steps away. Took the train into town and enjoyed no driving, no parking challenges. A perfectly walkable City exploration. A+

This historic home couldn't have been better for our trip to Philadelphia. Our goal was to see as many sights as possible in the short time we were there, and we were not disappointed. The home was exactly as described and was perfect for what we were looking for. Great neighborhood (clean, safe and convenient to everything (as long as you are willing to put on your walking shoes...furthest walk was maybe 30 minutes, but most places were 15-20). The street and parking options for the home were exactly as described and owner was great with details and super responsive with answering any questions. the options for restaurants was abundant and eclectic (even for my son's girlfriend who is a Vegan). We were there possibly one of the hottest weeks of the summer and AC worked perfectly. We didn't get to enjoy the rooftop or patio area much because we were busy sight seeing all day, but would both be a nice place to relax if you had time. If you have people in your party with balance or mobility issues, the stairs in the home might be difficult to manipulate ( like most older homes, they can be steep). I'd highly recommend this home if you are in the area.

Property is just great. Everything is accurate. You can’t really park I front but we didn’t have a car so no prob.
The location is just fantastic. Ten min walk to Reading and Convention center. Best food is just steps away on Locust. Theaters close too..
Loved the quaintness of street. It was like a movie set.

Awesome home in an awesome neighborhood!
The home was just as advertised, in great condition, clean and with all the needed amenities (washer/dryer, TV's, air conditioning that worked well even on 3rd floor bedroom, etc.) Great for the three of us to each have comfortable beds (even the larger than a twin daybed) and room to stretch out and watch TV during a break. But the neighborhood was an even bigger wow - gorgeous street, excellent restaurants within a block or two and a short 10-15 walk to Old City. In addition, the communication with the property manager was clear and helpful and accommodating as much as possible to our schedule change request. We highly recommend this VRBO rental! It felt like a home away from home!

Highly Recommend!
This is a beautiful home, and great neighborhood! We loved that it’s on a street without cars. It was so quiet and peaceful. Everything you need is in walking distance. There is a Whole Foods close by for groceries, and we enjoyed several of the wonderful restaurants nearby. Beth is a great hostess! She gave us very detailed information to assist with parking, and when we had a minor issue with the door lock, she responded right away and took care of the issue. If we ever go back to Philly, we would definitely stay again!

Beautiful home on a charming and quiet street.
Beth’s home was perfect for our family trip to Philly. Our kids (8 and 9) loved the comfortable TV room after long days exploring the sights in Philly. They loved the Franklin Institute and lantern Festival along with the Liberty Bell and Philadelphia Art Museum. We were able to walk to each of these sites from Beth’s home and felt safe. We parked the car when we arrived and did not touch it until we checked out. Beth was very responsive when I checked in with her, but honestly, the home was so well prepared that we did not need anything from her during our stay.
We will definitely be returning to Philly and hope we can stay here again.

Fantastic Gem in Philadelphia
We came to Philly for my son’s 7th neurosurgery at CHOP. The hostess, Beth, was so incredibly kind and helpful during our stay. The property is an amazing piece of history. It’s been restored to commemorate the time period of the era in which it was built, but yet is modern with all amenities available. A perfect blend of both worlds. It was so clean, that it sparkled. It’s nestled in a quiet alleyway in a very nice and safe neighborhood just a few blocks walk away from the hustle and bustle of anything you might need or want. Truly a gem in the heart of the city. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Respite in the City
My husband and I stayed at this home for a week and loved every minute of it. The home is in a wonderful location, right near anything you could want, yet also on a small road away from the noise and crowds. The home has everything you could need during your stay, and was very clean and comfortable. We cannot wait to go back!

This house was great! Exceeded expectations. Listing is very accurate. Stairs are steep. I looked at it as exercise to eat more on our trip! Spent some time reading on the rooftop deck. 4 adults stayed comfortably and we had plenty of room for a nice family dinner. So much in walking distance and enjoyed having Dirty Franks around the corner. We brought our dogs so spent a lot of time wandering the neighborhood. Safe, beautiful and friendly. Owner was very informative and helpful. Would 100% stay here again!
