We loved staying here and our hoat was wonderful. She was very personable, cLled us to ask if we had any questions and gave great details on how to check in and what to expect. The location was in a perfect spot, easy to walk to restaurants, and our casita was cute! If youre in Santa Fe, this place is a gem!

Our Casita provided everything we needed
Mary Ann was a thoughtful host. We will be back.

Casita B at Casa de Guadalupe was accurately described, We were comfortable the Casa had everything we needed. It was walking distance to downtown and to Canyon road, we had a wonderful stay in Santa Fe.
Mary Anne was available with any concerns.

We loved Mary Ann's casita, it was perfect for a couple and close to the plaza and everything else. Would definately stay there on our next trip.

Enjoyable
The only thing we did not like about this property was the size of the bathroom. The rest of the casita was very comfortable.

Positives: great location, good mattress, cute little patio.
Negatives: shabbily furnished with thrift store finds- in kitchen, cracked plates, broken scissors. A painting with the price tag still attached. A vodka box repurposed? as an end table. The worst- ugly, second-hand towels that were oddly not absorbent. Bent, flimsy wire clothes hangers. Had to go to CVS to buy hangers for our use. I'm all for shabby chic but at these nightly rates, we expected more chic and less shabby.

Location is excellent. Not only to the Plaza, but to Clafoutis patisserie and cafe.

All these casitas seem to be charming examples of historic buildings. They are within walking distance of expected Santa Fe attractions, including restaurants, shops, museums, galleries. Dealing with Mary Ann during the reservation process, etc., was easy and pleasant. Casita A was ours for 2 nights. We didn't cook so I have no feedback on appliances or other kinds of kitchen supplies. Made coffee twice. One bathroom is extremely small. Both shower curtain liners were stained and should be replaced. We were looking forward to using the kiva fireplace, heavily featured in all descriptions , including the casita book left on the kitchen counter which stated that 2 starter logs will be supplied and renters must buy the rest. When no logs were found a call to Mary Ann revealed that fireplace use doesn't start "until Nov"...we were extremely disappointed. Truth in advertising is always the best policy and I think it was not adhered to in this instance. Also, please remember that you are renting olders homes that are not perfect. I think that these are quirky, charming places, complete with a few disadvantages. But if you are okay with that, and if the 2 issues I raise, shower liners and the kiva fireplace discloser, are addressed, you could easily make the most of your stay. We might well choose another accommodation upon return, however.

While I agree with other reviewers that have said the manager Mary Ann is very flexible, friendly and responsive - I was very disappointed with our casita. As soon as we entered the casita I could see that it was dusty - the ceiling fan was dusty, a glass dining table was dusty and smudged and the top of the refrigerator was dusty. But the thing that bothered me the most were the dirty walls, particularly in the kitchen and bathroom. The tub was in poor condition (worn) and there was some mildew around the tub and on the shower curtain. The bath towels were worn and the bath mat was so worn it had loose threads all around the mat. It was essentially a rag.
I did email Mary Ann and she offered to have the cleaning lady come by or refund the cleaning fee. I didn't accept her offer to have the cleaning lady come because it was primarily the upkeep that bothered me - not the dust - and I knew the cleaning lady couldn't do anything in that regard. As far as I am aware, she didn't refund the cleaning fee
One of the reasons we chose the casita was the availability of the kitchen - but after trying to cook our first dinner we gave up. I had to put two chicken breasts in a glass salad bowl to bake them. There was no foil so I put a baking sheet on top of the bowl to cover them while baking. We didn't attempt another dinner.
The casita was short on paper towels and toilet paper. We planned a to stay over a week and we were supplied with 2 rolls of toilet paper and there were no tissues. We had to buy toilet paper because we had not been told where to find any on the premises. There were also burned out bulbs in the bathroom and the living area.
My husband and I felt that the price we paid was very high considering the condition of the casita. This place needs updating in the worst way.
I don't usually leave negative reviews, but since I picked this facility because of the reviews, I thought it was important to share my experience. Mary Ann also requested, in an email, that we leave a review. There are much nicer places to stay in Santa Fe for the money. Next time we will probably just stay in a hotel as it has been so difficult to predict the outcome of a choice on VRBO/Homeaway.

This property is the best kept secret in Santa Fe, but not for long!!! When we made our spur the moment reservations...hoping to find a place to rest our weary bones after walking the Plaza. Instead this spacious Casita became our focal point and we spent the majority of our time relaxing and enjoying all of the amenities. Very nicely furnished, the kitchen was well equipped and lacked for nothing, cozy living room comfortable leather couch and overstuffed chairs, adorable fireplace, great TV with all the bells and whistles. The closet storage was spacious, plenty of storage, cozy bathrooms with skylights. The mattresses were phenomenal, we slept like babies. You are within easy walking distance to the Plaza, the Santa Fe Railyard, an Albertson's grocery store, major shopping center and so much more. The manager assisted me with our reservation and was most helpful, she even provided us with substantial discounts we were not aware of. This property and its staff have made repeat customers out of us, will be back again soon! Check this property out, it's definitely a winner!
