About this house rental

Nestled in Denver, this lovely house for $405 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Summary: Experience mile-high magic in the luxuriously updated Woods Manor. From the sweep of the staircase to the original hardwood floors, from the charming outdoor area to the work space with city views, you will love everything about this 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom sanctuary in the city. Walk to Lower Downtown (LoDo), Coors Field and the RiNo Arts District. Breweries, dining, entertainment and shopping are all a short stroll away. Explore downtown or make this your base for mountain adventures! The Space: Welcome to Woods Manor! My Great-Great-Aunt Mamie Woods was the first to own it. There is a yesteryear feeling to this neighborhood; you may feel like you are stepping into a sepia print of swanky 19th Century Denver. Swing open the wrought iron gate and step up to the front door. Inside, you will be pleasantly surprised to find the perfect blend of renovated comfort and respect for the home’s history. To learn more about the manor's distinguished past, check us out on Instagram @woods_manor. The main living area is roomy and awash in Colorado’s famous sunshine. A Smart TV and an ultra-comfy couch invite you to kick back and relax at the end of a busy day. French doors provide a view of a rare outdoor seating area -- ideal for lazy summer evenings, al fresco dining and sipping local libations. Bar seating provides a friendly look-in to the kitchen for easy socializing. The dining room features a four-seat table as well as a bar. There is also a formal seating area with a chandelier and a formal dining room with seating for six. Sink into the leather furniture and let your imagination wander into the past. Maybe you’ll be inspired to visit the History Colorado Museum downtown! As much as we love the historical touches, the state-of-the-art kitchen is a welcome anachronism. The décor is bright, the storage is ample and the appliances are new. Whip up a home-made meal, or just appreciate having a place to enjoy coffee from the Keurig and breakfast. All three bedrooms are graced by four-poster beds with plush mattresses. The largest bedroom has a queen bed as well as a twin bed, perfect for those traveling with kiddos. This spacious room is really more of a suite -- check out the photos to fully realize how lovely it is. The second bedroom is smaller, but has a king bed for maximum relaxation and sweet dreams. The boudoirs are rounded out by a queen bedroom. Each sleeping arrangement benefits from its own design scheme, and each is a unique space for you to enjoy. The two bathrooms are surprisingly roomy and have their own delightful details. One has a walk-in shower, and the other has a tub-shower combo. With three bedrooms, multiple bathrooms are a must! A final amazing surprise -- there is a sun-drenched work desk that caters to business travelers, remote professionals and flexcation guests. The cozy room has a soothing aesthetic and views of downtown. An excellent place to stay focused or get inspired. Today’s Denver is a fascinating mix of hip neighborhoods, Western heritage and ample parks and greenways. Soak in local history at a museum, revel in cutting-edge culture at Meow Wolf, tempt your tastebuds at chic local restaurants and mind-blowing microbreweries, bag a 14er and a National Park, or ski at world-class resorts. This is the place to explore and play in the shadow of the majestic Rockies. We’re looking forward to hosting you! ***Why Choose An STR Over A Hotel?*** Cleanliness, Privacy, and Personal Service. We have augmented our already industry-leading cleaning and disinfecting protocol in order to put our guests at ease. You’ll have your own space to unwind, unplug and escape the news of the day. We have outfitted our cleaning crews with EPA recommended household disinfectants to prevent the spreading of viruses and bacteria. Our listing is professionally managed by Denver-based Highline Management in order to facilitate an excellent guest experience. Guest Access: You will have access to the entire home, including the backyard. There is a driveway parking spot as well as two spots on the street. The owner lives in the carriage house out back. Your privacy is guaranteed during your stay. The Neighborhood: The home has a fantastic location, equidistant from Lower Downtown (LoDo), Five Points and North Capitol Hill. As a quick introduction to the area, Coors Field is a good landmark to help you get oriented. It’s only a quick 15-minute walk away! In LoDo, you will also find delicious dining and boutique shopping on Larimer, quirky local haunts like Urban Putt indoor mini golf and Dagar Axe Throwing (yes, seriously), cult favorite brunch staple Snooze, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Denver Performing Arts Complex, and much more. Southeast of Downtown is the so-called Golden Triangle, which houses the Colorado State Capitol and other attractions. The Denver Art Museum and Molly Brown house are nearby as well. Zoom out to take in City Park -- miles of walking trails, Denver Zoo and the Museum of Nature and Science -- or head South of Colfax to find Cheesman Park and the Denver Botanic Gardens on York Street. This is just a taste of what you will find in Denver! This is also an ideal jumping-off point for exploring Golden, Boulder, Rocky Mountain National Park, ski country, mountain towns, Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods, and much, much more. Lower Highlands (LoHi) and Tennyson Street in Berkeley are popular with locals as well. Needless to say, Denver is a peerless destination! Getting Around: We can’t say it enough -- this is a very walkable locale! Rental bikes and scooters have become very popular in Denver. They are easy to rent and scattered liberally around town. Like most metro areas, hailing an Uber or Lyft is a snap here. Many visitors don’t even need a car. However, if you’re planning on making day trips to the mountains, you will need a vehicle. Make your way to I-25 North, then take I-70 West to reach the Rockies, ski resorts, and historic mountain towns. I-25 South will take you to Colorado Springs and Garden of the Gods, a stunning collection of sandstone formations. To see similar geological wonders closer to home, head to Red Rocks Amphitheater, an incredible and unique music venue near Morrison. We recommend catching a show if you can! It’s an unforgettable experience! A quick reminder -- if you park on any street in Denver, keep an eye out for posted street sweeping regulations. Follow the rules to avoid getting a ticket! Other Things to Note: In the spirit of transparency, there is a community of people without homes in the neighborhood. We do not anticipate that this will affect your stay or enjoyment in any way. This disclaimer merely ensures that you have all the information that we, the owners, have. Our home is located in a vibrant neighborhood. Like most downtown areas, there are many benefits – great food, amazing beer, unique local art – as well as a few drawbacks. The presence of itinerant individuals is a challenge being faced and actively dealt with in the Denver Metro area. Law enforcement is fully cognizant of the situation, and the safety and well-being of residents (including short-term residents like you!) is their top priority. Please be aware that we do not consider the current state of affairs to be adequate justification for full or partial refunds. This is a city! You are staying close to all the amazing attractions that the Mile High City has to offer. We cannot stress enough that 99% of residents and visitors are unaffected by un-homed communities in the area. This is a non-smoking, non-vaping home! We appreciate that some of our guests may wish to indulge in some of Colorado’s herbal offerings, but you must do so outside! An odor fee will be added to your reservation if this policy is violated. Please be responsible and safe, and thank you in advance for your compliance. We do have neighbors! Please observe the quiet hours of 9 PM to 8 AM, especially in the yard. There is one parking space in the back accessed through the alley. Although there is street parking available, it is 2-hour parking Monday-Saturday, 9 AM - 6 PM. If you have multiple vehicles, we recommend using the convenient paid lots nearby ($4 per day). The owner lives in the carriage house in the back and parks her car in the property’s additional spot. Please leave room for two cars if using the parking pad! This listing is operated by Highline Management, a team of local experts dedicated to an exceptional guest experience. Professional cleaning, CDC-compliant disinfection and hotel-quality laundry service are just a few distinguishing features of every Highline turnover. Book with confidence!

We loved our stay in this historic home. The furniture and beds were extremely comfortable with plenty of room to spread out. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas which was a lovely touch. The kitchen had many of the basics such as coffee, salt, sugar, etc.. and plenty of pots and pans to allow us to cook a delicious Christmas dinner. In spite of temps in the teens, the house stayed warm and cozy. The bathrooms are updated and both are a nice size. The house is perfectly situated to explore Denver on foot and we highly recommend Rosenbergs for bagels and Steubans for lunch or a casual dinner. If you like museums The Kirkland was beyond amazing and highlights Denver artists. The off street parking took a little maneuvering to get in and out but did accommodate our mid sized SUV. We would definitely recommend this home to our friends and would stay here again on our next trip to Denver.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Nice historic home with beautiful details and lots of character! A couple things to note - dedicated parking spot is tight so a small vehicle is recommended. Location is not ideal. Didn’t feel safe walking around at night. There is a closet full of games, puzzles, coloring book and colored pencils - perfect for families!

My colleagues and I were in town for a professional conference downtown. The home is within walking distance of the conference as well as many good restaurants. Pizza 3.14 was a favorite. The home is beautiful and has many modern updates. Comfortable rooms are private spaces and the family room is a cozy gathering space. Listening to vinyl records in the evening while processing the events of the conference was a perfect way to close the day. Evergreen is a small community just west of Denver. It is an easy drive from the home up into the mountains. The recreational trails there are fantastic. We all agree that the Manor was a highlight of the trip.

We had 3 adults traveling for work, and we stayed in this lovely home. The house is very spacious and we loved the historical aspects. The space was open, accommodating and provided everything we needed. The place was able 0.7 miles from the conference center which was perfect for us. We loved this place.

Overall the house was great for our group of adults. Easy check in and the rental company was responsive. We were able to walk to a lot of places. The house is old and charming but the air conditioning can’t keep up with July heat and the upstairs was really uncomfortable trying to sleep at night. It would be helpful if there were fans to plug in in each room.
