We stayed at the Residence Inn while touring Pitt. The location was very convenient, perfect for our stay. The hotel staff were friendly, and it was kept nice and clean. You have to pay for parking, but it's nice it is right there at the hotel. Our room was spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable, although the pillows were flat and soft. Complimentary breakfast was good, they had a nice array of options.

Great location to Pitt campus and the city.
Wonderful accommodations, staff was super friendly and helpful.
Hotel was very clean and the breakfast was nice.
Would definitely recommend!

Front desk person on evening very welcoming and apologetic for our slight wait to check in. Breakfast had good choices but noticed that for a hotel at capacity, not enough seating.
2.0
Great location, well appointed comfortable room, fabulous breakfast, walking distance to Pitt. Parking was my only complaint - too expensive and mostly compact car spaces.

Our room reeked of fish, like someone cooked in the microwave. Had to change rooms. Overall not horrible, but there are better options out there
3.0
Very comfortable and clean facility. Parking was tight but we were able park in nearby garage for $6.

The only problem with this hotel is the noise. You hear everything outside, in the hall and your neighbors. Thin walls & glass. That is my only complaint.

I liked how all the staffs were nice and the location of the hotel was very convenient, too. It was walkable to various restaurants and near a bus stop.

Great location, big rooms, easy access to parking.

The staff here is amazing. They went out of their way to help from the time we arrived through the day we left. The facility is clean, rooms were updated and it was convenient to the Pitt University area. This is definitely our go to destination when we travel to the Pittsburgh University area again.

Hotel very clean. Easy access to UPMC hospitals and facilities. Food and convenience stores within walking distance.
Room was very clean and spacious. Comfortable bed, clean sheets and towels. Roomy shower, clean and water temperature good.
Room equipt with full mini kitchen with supplies needed to cook and eat. Kitchen area very clean also.
Will definitely stay here again.

The only not so positive comment would be about the Front Desk associate at our arrival who really seemed to be hating to work there that moment. Very grim, not even a good night or welcome. Other than this, clean spaces, decent free breakfast, convenient parking, room was clean and everything seemed to be fine; the gentleman who worked around the breakfast area, keep it neat and clean at all times and the Front Desk associate at our departure was very nice and he seemed to be happy there.

This was our first hotel stay in years, and first as a family of 4. Great hotel ~ modern design and amenities we appreciated including small kitchen setup in our room, comfortable beds, quiet for sleeping, pool well-kept (if a bit cold, but I'm particular). Wonderful proximity to Carnegie museums and Conservatory, short drive to Fort Pitt/downtown. Would absolutely recommend this location for families interested in museum hopping in Pittsburgh!

Staff very accommodating and eager to please. Room was a little disappointing due to some worn furniture.

Large rooms with a complete kitchenette and everything you need to prepare a meal or make a cup of tea.

The hotel is close to Pitt, to good restaurants (both on foot and by car), and hospitals, awa to the highway. The rooms are clean and the staff is nice.

Didn’t find out until arriving at the hotel that there was no longer any parking. We had to park 3 blocks away. The only place to this was parking three blocks away was cheaper than at the hotel.
5.0
Clean and quite place with a free breakfast. A little bit away from the main area of Pitt and CMU but close enough and much cheaper.

The front desk staff are incredible.

The hotel was next to a jobsite and the parking garage is very small and dangerous with the narrow spaces, dark corners and columns.

Nicely updated property. Large rooms. Very clean. Passable fitness room. Convenient to Pitt campus.

They charge you $22 for parking but repeatedly sell the same 20 spots over and over. If you leave you will NOT get your spot back and may not get one at all. Hotel night clerk Marie is very rude and dismissive.

Great staff, very accommodating

Sofa was very uncomfortable. Price was excessive considering the service and grade of hotel. Included breakfast was good. Not enough towels.

Very useful hotel.

Be aware that parking is extremely limited, is in a rundown parking garage that was difficult to maneuver, isn’t included and cost 22$/night. Front desk service were very friendly. The room itself was run down. The dresser handle was broken and “fixed” with duct tape. The floor of the room wasn’t carpeted, which should mean it’s easier to keep clean. Nope! Gross, dirty floor. Keep your shoes on. My socks turned black and we were only awake in the room a few hours. Tub was damaged and “patched” I guess you’d call it. Just kind of a gross disappointing experience. Breakfast was supposed to be served until 9:30am but we went down at 8:55 and more than half the items were gone and the servers said they would not be refilling those items. I don’t usually complain but for the amount we paid - we were disappointed. We have stayed in many Residence Inns by Marriott and this one was not up to the usual standard.

Convenient location and daily breakfast provided.

We arrived around 1am. Gave cc for incidentals and was given a pink piece of paper to put on dash in the adjacent garage that said hotel parking.
No signs nor was told there would be a $22 charge that shows up on cc statement. We booked and paid here thru the site and was told we dont get a final check out bill. Seems they do this often and when i called they say its disclosed here on the site. Well its not in my summary and again no signs posted there or on the garage.
Otherwise a nice stay

Really nice hotel. Great location. Parking is a bit of a challenge. We found that you are not guaranteed a space in the hotel garage so we had to park on the street.

Fantastic place to stay when staying in Pittsburgh. Clean facility and rooms. Kitchenette in our Suite with full sized refrigerator. Walking distance to many restaurants and U of P. Huge complimentary breakfast that include hot and cold choices, too many to list. Staff kind, personable and more than accommodating.
