Excellent hotel in perfect downtown location. Wonderful staff

Despite the unfortunate timing of construction on weekdays (which will hopefully be over soon)… the location, lobby, room and amenities nearby are terrific. Free upgrade meant we had a whole kitchen available in our room and could save on meals too.

Spent the week in Montreal. Hotel in very convenient area. 2 blocks to st Catherine's street . 10 minutes to centre belle. Hotel staff all very helpful and all fluent in English and French. Valet parking available 35 a day with in and out privileges. Clean rooms, only problem was shower slow draining. Plenty of great restaurants and shopping in area. Taxis readily available. Partial view of Mont Royal from room. Took a walk up the street and stairs will take you to top of mountain with great views of city. About 600 stairs though. Eggspectation breakfast restaurant a couple of blocks away for a good breakfast.

Only problem is parking. The parking limitations should be made clear at booking and the cost should also be made known.

The property was really convenient, the valet is awesome. I didn’t appreciate the fact that my room was next to a storage/unfinished room that was always open, It was an eyesore. The filter for the rooms heating/AC system also needed to be changed.
The staff was extremely nice and helpful during our stay.

We are just leaving from a terrible visit to your establishment.
I booked our hotel stay months ago and we booked a suite March 7-10th 2024.
I called prior to our arrival to ensure there was a handicap parking option as my husband requires and is handicap. I was assured there would be a space.
Upon our arrival the valet came to our truck on the street in front and abruptly said “we aren’t parking that rig are we”
I said well yes? We are staying at the hotel and are just checking in.
He responds with “sorry no space ; you’ll have to drive and find a lot to park it in”
So now my husband whom is handicap, needs to park our truck and walk for miles back to our hotel we paid for?
And not only that but the hotel staff when we ask there an alternate lot is responds with “you’ll have to figure it out”
It’s 7pm, pitch black and pouring rain. And this is how you treat your guests who stayed from 14 hours away and are from out of town?
Not only is this a disgusting act of customer service. But is this how your company supports and represents the disabled community ?
I am requesting a written response to this issue immediately as we will not be letting this go.

Had a great time at the hotel. The only issue was the shower drain but everything else about it was amazing.

Hotel le Cantlie Suites was ideally located for my visit. It is very close to the Peel Metro stop and it took under an hour to travel on public transport from the airport to the hotel. The hotel is in need of slight updating but it is clean and the staff are friendly and accommodating - just what you'd expect in any good hotel.

The hotel was a little slow and understaffed in my opinion.

Our stay here was great! The staff were very kind and accommodating during check in and allowed for late checkout. The room was big and clean! The area is full of restaurants and very close to the mall.

Everything was good with the hotel except this:
1. At 5am, there was a loud buzzing sound within the corner of wall/ceiling which kept all 4 of us awake. We didn't bother making a formal complaint but this is my opportunity now.
2. This was my major concern re. the listed category of "Easy Parking" (under the heading: "What did you like?" ) As far we we could tell, there is no parking below or attached to hotel, so when we checked in at 5pm we were told their lot didn't have anymore spots for a pick up truck. Had we been forewarned about the limited parking, we would have made an effort to arrive earlier (we had a 6 hour drive). The person who checked us in gave us a map with 2 highlighted parking lots. 1 which was apparently across the street...which was not visible...& a 2nd one apprx. 3 blocks away. When we drove to the 2nd lot, it was only outside parking with apprx. 20 spots. The parking lot attendant said there was an additional charge (from $20 to $35) because we were driving a pick up (even though we were only taking up 1 parking spot), Even though it was after 5pm, he said the cost to park was $35 for the full day $20 overnight $35 for another full day even though we'd be leaving at 9am the following morning. So $90 for 16 hours of "outdoor" parking. We questioned this & he pointed to his sign showing breakdown...but it didn't make sense & he was clearly scamming us out-of-towners. We found another lot across street & paid $20 for "indoor" parking.

Friendly staff and easy check in. Convenient valet parking and walkable neighborhood. The room was clean with comfortable beds. Would be nice if they offered cocktails at the bar. But there is a speakeasy nearby called The Cloakroom.

Not as described. dirty and outdated.

The location is ideal for downtown shopping, access to Mont Royal and McGill University. The carpets in the halls, elevators and our room were extremely dirty and worn. We learned from housekeeping that the hotel does not have fitted sheets or duvet covers, but places feather duvets between two flat sheets. This is problematic when a) you find hair from previous guests in the bed and b) you learn that the hotel does not wash the duvets between clients/guests. I will not return to this hotel and won’t recommend it to others.

Lobby and hallway smell bad, Room don't have USB change port, Hotel doesn't friendly provide phone charger either. DON'T forget to bring your own phone charge when you stay in this Hotel. But location is very good.

Front lobby staff were very helpful and friendly. They made recommendations for places we wanted to see and experience. Language was not an issue as they are fully bilingual.

Our stay was lovely. It was our first time in Montreal and we were so glad to choose this hotel. The staff were so helpful and kind. We had our room cleaned every day even if we didn't ask for it. The staff at the front desk took care of our concerns fast and provided us with info about the city and where to go for local cuisine. Shopping was very near by and awesome. Recommend this hotel 10 out of 10.

Property is in good area but is very dated. Our suites carpet and kitchen area, and furnishings were a bit run down and are in need of renovations. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. Overall the stay was comfortable.

We spend 3 nights in this prime location hotel with a very good first impression when it comes to early checkin request, room details and the reception LADY talked to us in extremely hospitable manner, the room is spacious and well organized with great sound proof wall. However, one unfortunate incident was the cleaning crew who took our extra thick luggage cover and by mistake , when we reported to the front desk guy Rez , he gave us a series of inpatient response by questioning weather we had it with us or not, his final comment was unprofessional at all when he burntly responded : “what do you expect us to do ?! The winter weather make it so hard to travel with light color luggage yet this staff showed ZERO sympathy for our loss , due to the cleaning lady’s mistake. No phone call or email has been sent to us although we left all the details. We will not book again.
