Nestled in Florence, this attractive condo for $300 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. In the area of Piazza della Signoria and Piazza Santa Croce. At the second and unique floor (NO elevator) in Via Vinegia n. 2, a small and very quiet road in a pedestrian area, this lovely and particular apartment has been completely restored and decorated with taste and care for any expectations you may have. My sister and I take high pleasure to ensure our guests the best staying by taking care of you since your very first enquiry to your departure.. We personally own and manage this apartment and the unit beside (the Francesca unit, ref. 8669907) you'll always be checked-in by one of us and we'll be avaialble for you any time for any question, help or need you may have.. Please take note our check in time is from 3 pm to 8 pm ON APPOINTMENT, no reception is available all day long For check in after 8 pm to 10 pm we charge 30 euro We do not accept check in after 10 pm Both apartments belong to an ancient bulding dated back to the XIV century and share a private entrance from the road, in front of the magnificent stonewall of the medieval S. Remigio Church, in one of the oldest and most famous area of Florence. The units can be booked togehter becomig a unique property and can accomodate up to 10 guests. The location is so central that you can easily get back home any time of the day for a quick rest or a bite and go out again to visit this magnificent city. With all kind of shops just around the corner and Piazza della Signoria at 1 minutes walk, these property are really in the centre of the centre! With some of the best restaurants, ice-cream, fresh pasta, street food an coffee bar just around the corner you'll be able to enjoy your staying with no efforts trying to find out where you can have the best ice-cream of Florence!! The Simona apartment has a master bedroom with a large queen bed, a twins' bedroom, a dining area with the kitchen and a large table that can comfortably accomodate up to 5 guests. The sitting room is provided with a large couch that can be transformed in a large single bed for a 5th guests, two bergere chairs, table coffee and tv, a full contemporary bathroom with a shower completes the interiors. As a real plus, Simona's apartment has got a cozy and secluded terrace full of plants and partially covered. With a coffee table and 5 comfortable seats, it's perfect for breakfast, tea time or a glass of wine.. Via Vinegia 2: a very strategic position! You can look at the tower of Palazzo Vecchio in Piazza della Signoria from Simona's terrace History and leisure: The entire historical centre of Florence has been declared World Heritage by the UNESCO and Via Vinegia is just in the middle of it! All the major sites are within walking distance: Piazza della Signoria and the Uffizi Gallery, Ponte vecchio, The Duomo, The magnificent church of Santa Croce: everything is just around the corner. And if you like to try the very best food you have a choice of restaurants and, most of all, you are at 10 min. walking from one of the oldest and most famous market in Florence, The Sant'Ambrogio market where you can buy the most exquisite traditional food.. and as far as ice-cream is concerned, Vivoli (the most famous one) is at 3 min walking Via de Neri, the road at 20 mt from Via Vinegia is full of all kind of shops: groceries, take away, chemistry, fruiters, ice-cream, bakeries, mini market, bars, laundry... Anything you may need is just around the corner Car: The centre of Florence is closed to car with specific rules. We suggest you NOT TO ARRIVE WITH A CAR if you can. You won't need (and you won't be allowed too) to use it during your staying in the city. Florence is on the main fast trains line that connects all the main italian cities: Rome, Milan, Naples, Bologna.. on this line trains run every 20/30 minutes and the rides are definetely much shorter than a car trip. Also from Venice fast trains are available and a train ride from Pisa airport takes only 1.10 hour.. So if you plan to take a car just to reach Florence we strongly recommend to check trains instead. Wonderful property located close enough to everything. Perfect size for a family of four- very cozy and had all the amenities one would need for a short stay in Florence. Simona, the host was amazing. So welcoming and responsive when we needed any assistance.

For a family of four, this was a lovely apartment in an ideal location for our visit. The apartment was clean, tidy and well-organized with everything that we needed. The sitting room provided additional space for some privacy from the rest of the group, when desired, and the patio, too. The summer heat and mosquitoes kept us from lingering in the outdoors, but the owner did her best to provide repellants. (Sadly, two of us were just too tempting to the bugs.) The washing machine was a blessing for a family of travelers and the owner has provided substantial clothing lines for drying.
Before booking, several people commented on the separate collection for the electrical use. I'll add here that the collection was extremely reasonable and should not dissuade anyone from committing.
Lastly, the owner was extremely accessible to us when we had questions which is always appreciated.

Gorgeous and comfortable apartment for 2 adults and 2 teens. The location on a quiet street just minutes from Santa Croce was perfect for exploring Florence. Air conditioning worked very well during a hot July stay. Simona's recommendations for restaurants etc. were excellent and much appreciated, as was her arranging a taxi for us on our departure. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment or to book this again for our family.

I know Florence very well - worked in the Fashion Industry for 20 years and visited a few times a year on business. So, I knew the location that I wanted which was near the Piazza Della Signoria and Sante Croce. This beautiful apartment, meticulously maintained by the owner, was the perfect, most convenient location. Florence is a small walking city but I feel that this area of the city is my favorite. Except, of course, if you were on the Arno overlooking the Ponte Vecchio!
The apartment was spacious, and filled with light, and the doors open to a large terrace, and the terrace faces an old stone church on a small street, the Via Vinegia. The master bedroom and the kitchen and dining room face out, and get lots of light, and the smaller bedroom and living room face the courtyard. The photos of the apartment on the website look exactly like the apartment, which is clean and comfortably furnished. The large dining room table was great! The bathroom is very nice and brand new.
Beds were very comfortable, the WIFI worked very well, and we did not have any complaints. We did not cook in the kitchen as this was a girl's trip, not a family trip. However, I think this apartment would be perfect for my family of 4.
We did day trips to Venice and Cinque Terre while we were there enjoying 7 days of perfect sunshine and blue skies and 70 degree weather in April 2016.
I would gladly stay there again, and my friend and I both loved the apartment, and the nice way we treated by the owner, Simona. She is there to help and was kind and gracious.

Lovely spacious apartment. Family of four including two teenage sons fit comfortably. Apartment was stocked with everything that was needed in the kitchen and bathroom and the whole space was super clean. Location was walking distance to all museums and attractions. Simona was an excellent host and met us upon arrival and arranged convenient departure even when we changed our plans.

My daughter and I spent 6 comfortable nights in the “Francesca” apartment during the first week of September. We were very happy to each have our own bedroom and modern bathroom, a nicely stocked kitchen (including coffee and palmiers, my favorite cookies) and a generally impeccable and nicely decorated apartment. Simona was there when we arrived and greeted us warmly despite the fact that she was in “crisis mode” (as the air conditioner in the second bedroom was not working). Simona went to some lengths to try to get the A.C. fixed the same day but that didn’t work out in the end. In any event, my daughter stayed in the room without air conditioning and said she was quite comfortable with the extra fan that Simona was able to supply. Also, the windows in the apartment really do limit the loud sounds from the streets outside so we found it easy to get a good night’s sleep. I should also mention that Simona was easily reachable and quickly responded to any questions we had before and during our visit. We loved the location of the apartment and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice place to stay in Florence!

Simona's apartment was just perfect for our family of four. Super clean, well appointed and comfortable. Everything was easy to use. The location could not have been better. Excellent restaurants a few doors down, easy walking distance to the major sights, taxi stand within minutes if you needed to go farther, grocery store right up the street. Simona was responsive throughout the entire process and although she was unavailable to check us in personally she sent her dear friend, who was also terrific, and was in communication with us throughout our stay. I'd highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit Florence. You'd be hard pressed to find another apartment that combines style, comfort, quality, location and caring owners. We'd definitely stay again and hope to be back!

The apartment was absolutely as described, immaculate and very attractively furnished and decorated. We were warmly welcomed by Simona who couldn't have been more helpful or friendly.
We were a family of four with a son and daughter of 16 and 20 and the apartment was perfect for our four night stay at the height of the summer. We felt, however, that this would be a superb apartment at any time of the year. The location in a very quiet street in the heart of Florence and the little terrace make this apartment very special.
Having stayed in a number of apartments in European cities, we would be happy to recommend this to anyone.

The location of this flat is excellent - down a short street behind the Palazzo Vecchio. We easily walked to all the sights. The flat is very clean. The good sized bedrooms are very comfortable, with good beds. The two bathrooms are excellent, clean and modern with lovely walk in showers. Plenty of storage space everywhere which was great. The kitchen is small but modern and very functional. We are 3 adults and our only criticism, hence the 4 plus stars rather than 5, is the seating in the lounge area. This was just not comfortable enough to relax in the evening. Simona met us on arrival and was very helpful throughout. She even, very kindly, organised a few grocery provisions for us as we were late after a flight delay. I would highly recommend this flat and we would definitely stay there again should we return to Florence.

The Simona apartment is exactly as in the pictures and reviews - the sister owners, Simona and Francesca, are extremely reliable to orient you to your stay and to help with any question that may arise. We fully enjoyed being so close to literally every site in Florence. Apartment is well stocked in the kitchen with new dishes and pots/pans. Grocery stores nearby too. Tons of restaurants. The bedroom windows are sound proof, so street noise that others have mentioned in reviews is a non-issue. We did have some noise from above once, but this can happen in any property in every city! Simona was absolutely helpful to any question. Washing machine helpful too!! :) Highly recommend!

This apartment is right in the middle of all the things we wanted to see in Florence. We walked everywhere; even the train station is only a 10 to 20 minute walk away. It was well equipped, very clean and not too small for our traveling party of three 70 year-olds. There are great restaurants and bars just a few steps away, and our host, Simona, had a notebook full of good suggestions. During the planning stage she was always prompt in her responses and very helpful. We all had a great time and would choose this apartment again.

This was our first trip to Florence and Simona’s apartment was beyond our expectation. It’s location, location, location! Less than 5 minutes walk, door to door, to Uffizi Gallery and no more than 10 minutes to Duomo. Simona’s fluent English put our first trip to Italy at ease and she thoughtfully had cold bottles of water and pastry waiting for us upon arrival. She even had a small milk for my morning tea. I had rented many houses and apartments through VRBO and her mattress was the best I have ever had a pleasure of sleeping on! And Simona spoiled us with more than ample fluffy towels for all 4 of us. And unlike some other VRBO rentals, Simona does not charge extra for more than 2 people. She even had a second set of keys so that the kids can come and go independently while my husband and I spent endless hours at the museums. There is absolutely nothing I would change about the apartment. It’s true... It’s perfect. If and when we visit Florence again, I will definitely stay at Simona’s beautiful apartment again!

Truly a spectacular water view, and the water is right in front of the house!! The house is architecturally, uniquely designed and one of a kind. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could want. Comfortable furniture and lots of light for reading which you don't always find! We came for a getaway and really feel like we've been on a relaxing retreat. We definitely will return!

We had a wonderful one week stay in Florence. We went as a family of 5 and although the apartment was perhaps a little smaller than it looked on the photos (especially the shower), it was still very comfortable for 5 with a nice little outside terrace. Everything was clean and well maintained and there was plenty of information available about how everything worked and about restaurants and shopping in the immediate area, as well as leaflets and brochures about the main attractions and tours etc. A great location being only a stones throw from all the major attractions and also close to some lovely little restaurants and a supermarket. Check-in and check-out were without any problems. When we are next in Florence, we would be more than happy to stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely apartment. Simona was so pleasant and helpful to work with! She met us there to check us in, provided all the needed information and answered our many questions regarding the area, calling taxis, etc. The apartment met our needs in a comfortable manner and was so much nicer than staying in a hotel! It was very clean and comfortable and was accurately described in the listing.
We stayed on the go, doing several day trips from the area so we didn't spend much time in the apartment except for sleeping! The location was very convenient to many of the attractions in the area.
If you are going to the Florence area I would recommend booking this apartment!

what a great apartment. i'd love to live here for a month. real neighborhood feeling but close to major attractions. i could always find my way home because the palazzo vecchio tower was basically in my back yard. great neighbor places to eat--super nice and regular everyday places too. found me a little bar to hang out in. just perfect. susan

What a fantastic apartment in the heart of Florence! My family (5) and I stayed at this gem of an apartment which is just a stones throw from the bustling heart of the city. Simona, our host, was incredibly gracious with her time and taking care of my families needs. She was very communicative and made sure everything and everyone was taken care of completely. Thank you Simona!! We will definitely be back and stay here. Lots of great nearby restaurants, coffee shops and cafes. This place is a must. Don’t hesitate. You won’t be disappointed.

Accurate description with a well stocked kitchen. Basic amenities like salt, pepper, sugar, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The host even left us a package of pastries. It was a little tight for 5 adults with only 1 bathroom but we made it work for the few days we were there.

Simona is an amazing host, it’s a privilege to stay with her. We have never been so well taken care of by a VRBO host. She communicated throughout my planning and made wonderful recommendations.
The apartment is even lovelier than photos. Her sister met us in the morning to lock up our baggage so we could still explore while waiting check in. Simona met us for a. Early checkin and showed us around apartment and made sure we understood how everything worked. She didn’t rush through and put us at such ease. The apartment is well equipped and generous. She provided a wonderful book with tons of info and told us to contact her anytime.
The location is near everything but on a off side street so you are away from crowds.
Simona arranged for a cab to take us to train for our early departure which was very kind. I just cannot say enough about this beautiful soul and gracious host.

This property is ideally situation in a central location, walkable to everything and is as described. Very comfortable and well furnished/equipped flat.
For us, the most amazing was the host! Simona saved our vacation. My wife broke a tooth and was in need of emergency dental work - during Italian holiday period, so most clinics were closed. Simona searched around for us and found someone to take care of us. Simona was quick, caring and very helpful in our time of need.
I would recommend this host and her property to anyone!

Simona greeted and oriented us to the apartment and neighborhood that was located in walking distance to everything ! We had access to restaurants, shopping and histrionical sites just steps away. You cannot beat this location. The apt was clean, had all amenities, and our home away from home. When we had any questions, Simona was responsive and went beyond to help us. Our son had become I’ll and she even arranged a house call by a local clinic doctor! I cannot say enough about how wonderful Simona and our stay was. Highly recommended. I would stay here again on my next Firenze visit.

Simona’s apartment in the historic centre of Florence was the absolutely perfect base to explore this gorgeous city. While in a quiet ancient street, it is just steps from the Uffizi Gallery, Duomo and Piazza Della Signoria, with shops and restaurants just metres away. A very short walk to Ponte Vecchio and Galleria Accademia and other sites.
The apartment is immaculately clean and well appointed and Simona has thought of every comfort for an easy and enjoyable stay. Netflix, washing machine, dishwasher and coffee pods all provided. Simona was there to welcome us when we arrived and generously shared local knowledge and tips.
If we return to Florence we would book this apartment again without hesitation, it felt like home away from home and was so well located that we could pop back during the day if we needed a quick rest etc.
The only thing I’d flag is that for anyone who is not able-bodied, the few narrow steep steps up to the apartment might be difficult to manage with heavy bags.

From start to finish, Simona and her home never disappointed. Simona thinks of every step to make for a truly warm and home-like experience. The apartment is pristinely clean and with comfortable beds, linens, blankets and towels. It has a fully stocked kitchen of appliances, dishes, glasses, pots/pans and all the amenities (cleaning supplies, detergent, soaps/shampoo, washer, iron/ironing board, umbrellas, coffee, seasonings) to make for an easy living situation. The apartment is perfectly positioned in the heart of Florence and within seconds you are within reach of beautiful restaurants, cafes, boutiques, piazzas, museums, bridges and all the main tourist attractions. Communication with Simona was impressive, pleasant and easy and having her arrange a taxi at check-out was a special touch. The only thing to inform future renters about, but again, not anything to fault the apartment owner on, is the lack of natural light in the apartment. Take full advantage of the beautiful patio and explore the Florence streets often, because at times, the kitchen/dining/living rooms can feel a bit dark and small as there is limited natural sunlight coming through the windows. This is a 5-star rental and host and certainly a listing we'd love to experience again should we return to Florence. Thank you Simona!
