Location is great and there a few design elements that stand out like wallpaper in the bedroom and light fixtures in the bathroom. I also enjoyed the tea and cookies in the lobby, as well as complementary welcome drinks.
Make no mistake. Despite some beautiful design elements, this property is slightly a step above a motel. Uncomfortable bed with thread-bare, scratchy sheets. A fold-out couch that barely fits one person, much less two and squeaks every time you move. No central air/heating, but rather old school individual units. Weakest water pressure I’ve ever experienced and sadly no hot water our first morning. Taking a cold shower when it’s 50deg and raining outside does not feel like a vacation. And the toilet would intermittently make a noise that sounded like gun shots. Flushing the toilet woke up the entire family at 0130am the first night. Cleaning staff made the bed and brought towels. They didn’t even bother putting a dirty plate in the sink or washing any of the dishes.

The location is excellent, and the staff and facilities were exceptional.

Rooms are roomy, clean and comfortable. Staff was really friendly.
You have to pay extra, nightly, to park in the parking lot of the hotel. Of course i need parking. I'm obviously not close to home. I found that ridiculous.
Took everything out of the mini bar fridge so I could use it as an actual fridge for doggie bags, drinks and snacks, then put the mini bar back before checkout. Just put a mini fridge in the room.

Loved it all! Our trip was mostly San Diego and LA. Santa Barbara was a refreshing change. You're across the street from beach, Beautiful and so Peaceful! Rooms large and fresh. Staff superb! Highly recommend I typically stay at Marriotts and this is defiantly but homey!

Pretty exterior, fine pool
A lot of money for minimal amenities. Nickel & dimed for everything.

online it says that parking is free but it cost $12 Also the hot tub was closed during our whole stay which was part of why we booked the hotel.

Property charges for parking, fridge, microwave, everything is extra, and not pet friendly!

Room was exceptionally clean. Everyone was very nice.
There was not enough light in the sink area. An overhead light in the entry would have helped. there were no glasses in the sink area, only with the coffee maker.

confortable beds, nice shower! the sink is separated from the shower, which is very good for couples or twins. the tv is huge!
the parking costs 12 dollars, and it is a regular parking (like the others from hotels). the room we stayed was out of the group of rooms, in front of the elevator and stairs. it was very noisy because of the people that come and go.

We had the two room suite which was very reasonable in price, and was great for a relaxing getaway. Location is good for walking around Santa Barbara including the wharf and downtown areas. Good restaurants nearby too.
Room did not have sloped roof like the photo of the suite. Kitchen could use some dishes, etc.

Property was beautiful and conveniently located. Check in and out was smooth. I loved the room decor, robes and the big shower towels.
The heating unit in the room was very loud and woke up me several times during the night. When I brought it up to the front desk upon check out, I was told that they’re all like that.
