Location, staff
Beds were uncomfortable, valet parking was confusing and caused traffic Jam when pulling in. HVAC unit was VERY loud. Breakfast was terrible.
4.0
Reasonable location for public transport (10 minutes to metro)
Hugely overpriced for the service received. Staff are slow to respond and somewhat inattentive. It wasn’t bad just mediocre.
Plastic cutlery at breakfast.
Television signal in room was poor.
Shower gel not provided in bathroom.
Long wait for elevators.
Valet parking takes way too long.

Breakfast was a mob scene but the food was good. The replenishment was very slow and I had to make do with what was available.
Location was not as close to the Mall as expected and there was nothing around the hotel to occupy downtime.

Everything was nice and clean
That they had valet parking $45 a day I like to park my own car

Lovely and modern with all facilities in good nick. Great bed, great breakfast buffet. Good gym. Only 15 mins walk to The Wharf DC with all the restaurants and which had a lovely Winter vibe with all the Christmas decorations and a campfire with the option to buy s’mores to toast over the campfire and ice rink by the river!
Shower and bathroom basin drains are not free flowing. The overnight valet car parking is expensive at over USD45 but more like $53.

Everyone was very friendly. Everything was very clean, the breakfast buffet was great with a lot of options. An added bonus was the pool still being open. After walking around the city all day in nearly 100 degree weather a swim was perfect.

location is good
nothing works, staff is rude, wifi terrible, pool overlooks a highway and is crowded.
Breakfast is very poor, crowded, and unhealthy
Hotel is not clean - can't get room service (in 4 nights) to clean anything. floors are not vacuumed, etc.

the location is great, but that's it.
Breakfast is crowded, unhealthy, and poor quality.
Bedding is of not clean, like floors and bathrooms.
Room service has to be begged for (nobody cleaned our room in 4 nights, despite asking repeatedly). Cleaning staff is overwhelmed.
Staff is rude and under-trained. General Manager and Front desk management are incompetent.
Air conditioning is so loud it will keep you up at night.
The pool overlooks a 8-lane highway, so air quality is very poor, and it is too small for a hotel this busy.

It was clean.. and near all the sites
I came in and the room I booked months in advance was full and already taken.. so we had three grown adult in a 1 bedroom..they offered to move us the very next morning but to us it would have been to much of a hassle..we also couldn’t park in the Hotel parking garage because it was full.. we ended up parking at at different hotel.. about $50 a day. till the next day. I wish I would have gotten some type of compensation.. but I wasn’t going to ruin my trip stressing over it.. we made it work..

The location was great
The staff, especially housekeeping and front desk had low morale, not happy to help and like they didn’t want to be there.
We also went to check out the rooftop bar and they were out of most items, very disappointing. Very cool concept but wish they offered what they advertised…
The pool had to be drained and was not able to be used for one full day and the pool seemed small for the property.
Our sheets were dirty and we were missing a comforter and it was difficult to get them replaced. Housekeeping didn’t come until very late in the afternoon and the housekeeper seemed very unhappy. The one day I told her not to worry about cleaning our room because it was taking so long.

Breakfast was amazing with a gorgeous presentation. It didn't feel like a typical hotel continental breakfast but more like a luxury resort. The staff was extremely friendly. Everything was clean and welcoming.
Wish I knew more about possible shuttle or transportation availability to/ from the major sites of DC.

it was walking distance from anywhere you could want to go

The location is very convenient, the hot water/ coffee station in the lobby, the breakfast option. The bed was ok.
I didn’t like how the resort is set up where the lobby is on the 3rd floor, there was no parking, the garage was full and it’s an extra cost to park, the shower is not convenient for kids, it will mess up the floors, the pool was cold even though it was very hot the morning. Musty carpets, old school noise when the toilet is filling up after flushing.

Staff were excellent, location to metro and national mall, breakfast, overall vibe
The bathroom doors were glass, which impacted privacy. We also had a hard time keeping the room dark while our kids were sleeping.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There were a lot of options at breakfast. The staff were all nice.
The lack of water pressure in the shower.

Nothing, sadly there was no one thing I liked about this hotel. Truly this was the worst hotel I have stayed in my entire life! Turned our vacations into a nightmare! Horrible experience for the price! I'm in hospitality and hotel business and this was unbelievable experience, and the staff could care less to help with all the issues we had. Nothing that you expect from Hyatt! I wish I could give zero stars and I promised my family not to ever again stay in any Hyatt!
Not sure where to begin or if there is enough room here to describe it all, so let me start:
-our room was not ready at 3pm(as promised), the lady at the front desk assured us that it was clean and just needed inspection and it would take just few minutes. 3.30pm after she saw my face she finally handed us the key. Of we went to the 10th floor just to find ladies cleaning our room. I said no problem, take your time and make sure it's clean. The manager said: "why you are here? who give you the key?" after I said front desk, she said: "how can they do that?" Are you asking me? after few minutes she let us in and said is clean and inspected, and they left. There was no paper towel, no towels, stains on the floor just to mention few. Disaster! so for the price of almost $400 a night I had to chase the paper towel! What a great adventure! But that's not all, stay with me, it's gonna get better! I promise! We went to see the city and came back to our room around 8pm (I traveled with 5 years old and my 70 years old father with the heart condition) Why this is important, oh well just because at around 9pm fire alarm went off and had to ask my dad to jump off the shower and evacuate. So we run 10 floors down, like a lot of people, stayed outside waiting for the disoriented staff, to let us know that it was false alarm. ok, happens, not a problem, they said they fixed it, we waited patiently for the elevator to go up and get ready for the bed. Then about an hour later same thing, of we run down again, this time we stopped on the third floor in the lobby, to check if it's a false alarm or real fire, just to be told by the lady in the front desk that she can't hear anything and that she is not worried about the fire as we are at the top of fire station. Literally, this Hyatt is on the top of the fire station! Too bad I didn't know that, and too bad I rather be safe than sorry and evacuate the building when the fire alarm goes off.

Location
No TV service for 20-24 hours! Disappointing to co me in from sightseeing and have no tv. Had use my hotspot to view Netflix on my computer because wifi kept dropping.
They were doing a change of providers or something, difficult to understand front desk person's English. Light bulbs out. Faucets loose.
Breakfast included if there’s anything left on it or plates and utensils to use. There should be a non-turkey option of breakfast meats!
Housekeeping staff very pleasant.

Breakfast was nice to get the day started. Location is walkable (about 1mile) from National Mall and little longer to the Capitol. It was chilly this past week so we ubered but definitely walkable!
It's not as close to the train station as it looked on the map.
