We had two families for a total of eight people and there was plenty of room for us all. The kids liked being across the street from the beach!

The Blue House was wonderful. We had a beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea from the balcony. The website does not do the view justice! There was plenty of room for 7 of us to relax comfortably. The place was nicely equipped. We were a 4-5 minute walk to the metro which we used frequently. Taxis were also easily hailed on the street in front if needed! There is a subterranean mall located in the next building. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay there again!!

The view from the apartment and its location are excellent. Great beach across the street and plenty of nearby restaurants. Apartment is spacious, clean and well-kept. The owner is very attentive and is quick to respond to any questions. Elevator lets you out at the door to the apartment on the 6th floor and the loft on the seventh floor is gigantic. Finally, the price per night we thought to be a great value. Ours was a family vacation with my wife, two daughters in their 20's and a boyfriend and we all had plenty of privacy within the apartment and cannot wait to go back.

Five of us stayed for twelve days, including my 92 year old physically disabled father. The apartment is fantastic for disabled visitors. The lift is right outside the front door and the apartment is easy to move around in a wheel chair. My father loved the view. I was going to give the apartment five stars, but I am going to fine Ignacio one star, as on arrival at the apartment he fined us fifty Euros for arriving after 21.00, even though we HAD NOT been told about this in the contract sent before our arrival. This punishment we found to be unfair as we had struggled to get me father onto and off the plane at Gatwick after a near two hour delay that was out of our control. Therefore by the time we arrived at the apartment we were exhausted, to be fined was not the welcome we expected. Additionally I do not think that you would expect to find nine lightbulbs missing, no plug in the kitchen sink, two beds with no bed linen, no clocks working and the hairdryer missing on arrival at a luxury apartment. These should have been checked before our arrival. Overall, the apartment was suitable for our needs but perhaps Ignacio needs to work on his customer care.

Ignacio is a very nice guy and we had an awesome time at his place. Unfortunately the whirlpool didnt work so make sure you check with him if its working again. Aside that all was good and the location is really exceptional!

The apartment is very comfortable and practice to live in. We enjoyed our stay very much. We were 7 adults and 4 little childs and we felt comfortable in the apartment. We recomend it!

We were 3 single adults and one couple so we used all the bedrooms on both floors. One guest was in a wheelchair and we can confirm that the flat is wheelchair friendly on the main floor. We found the flat clean and the kitchen well equipped. We chose the Blue House because of it's location and the accommodation it offered. We were not disappointed in any way with our choice. The view from the balcony is great and we often sat outside til Midnight. Although there is traffic on the main road it is a nice, cool place to sit. The traffic noise was no problem for us. The location of the Blue House is great, near the sea and the Olympic Marina is nearby where we ate most evenings - plenty of restaurants to choose from. The supermarket is next door which was great. The bus Stop is a few minutes away. All the buses are wheelchair accessible. Ignacio was great and very helpful, especially on the last day as he helped us with the Taxi arrangements - or rather with the problem with no Taxis being available due to them being on strike in the whole of Barcelona. But as it was at the end of our holiday we got to know the bus routes and so no problems taking the bus to the airport. We would book a holiday in the Blue House again on our next trip to Barcelona. We stayed for 5 nights in The Blue House with 7 persons. The Blue House is a very nice apartment at a great location. From the balcony there is a great vieuw over Port Olimpico, Marina and the Mediteranian Sea. The beach is on a walking distance, 5 minutes. I can recommend this apartment to everyone who is planning to visit the fantastic city Barcelona..

I have been in Barelona many times with my friends in the past but this time the apartment we picked was a real PLUS! It was the first time we decided to rent a place and it will be the first of MANY more. The apartment has a great location overlooking the sea and the Port Olimpico. We had a beautiful balcony from where every morning we had a nice breakfast with the Spanish seabreeze !!! Everything was simply perfect and the organization extremely precise in arranging our IN and OUT movements. The apartment was clean and well equipped with everything necessary to spend a few nice days without thinking too much about the usual "home practical things". Everything was there. I would definetely recommend it to anyone and .... I hope we'll be able to go back sometime soon!! Nicoletta - ITALY

Very nice house, perfect location! Shoppingmall and supermarket downstairs, very compleet house equipement, we stayed here with 2 adults and 4 teenagers, we loved it all!

This was a wonderful apartment for just my daughter and myself. So you can imagine how much room we had just for the two of us! Fantastic location, absolutely gorgeous view, albeit a bit noisy if sleeping in the bedroom facing south, coming from the busy boulevard down below....but I got used to it. Also, we never heard any noise coming from other units in the building, probably helped by the fact that this apartment occupies the top floor at the south end of the building. With all the amenities provided, it was very functional and was just perfect for us. In my view, it sure beats staying in a small hotel room. ( the only thing that was out of order was the tub in the loft but for us it wasn't an issue as we were just using the showers anyway). Anyway, it was great to be able to have a leisurely breakfast every morning in our own place, with the beautiful sunshine illuminating the marina and the superb beach right across (with fantastic walking and biking trails) and, after a long and exhausting day touring around gorgeous Barcelona, to come back and relax into what just felt our own home. Honestly, if I wouldn't be so anal about trying to visit everything there is to see in Barcelona, I would have been very happy to just chill out and lounge in the Blue House for a full day! This review is about the Yellow House that is situated one floor below the Blue house apartment by the same rental agent Ignacio. This is a two bedroom apartment with a wonderful sea views as well views of the marina. For a party of three there was plenty of space to sit and relax in the lounge/dining room areas or on the balcony itself with ample seating and a big plus was the manual wind-out awning to keep the morning sun out of eyes when having breakfast. Had an on-suite bathroom to the front bedroom and separate bathroom to the second room all very clean well tiled and everything works well especially the showers which were lovely and powerful. Plenty of storage space for clothing etc. Kitchen facilities were excellent with dishwasher and washing machines if needed to use. We asked Ignacio to place WIFI in the apartment for us which he did immediately with no hassle. The apartments as mentioned with other reviews are situated next to a underground shopping complex to the rear of the apartment. Lovely reasonably priced supermarket and a few restaurants. Do try the Indian restaurant well priced with excellent tasty food. Apartments are close to the Metro walking distance, taxi outside the apartments 29 euros to airport. Thanks for everything Ignacio we enjoyed our stay I'm sure we will all be back to visit Barcelona again.

I stayed at the Blue House with my parents at the end of September for four nights. The apartment was very well located, with the beach and marina on the doorstep and a couple of great café bars right outside the apartment block. While the apartment is on the 6th floor, there is a lift that stops right outside the apartment door, which meant that there were no issues for my elderly parents. The apartment was huge inside. The balcony was standard size but provided stunning views of the ocean and marina, which looked particularly lovely at night when it was all lit up. I made the mistake of not realising that the air conditioning was switched off at the mains, so spent four nights unable to sleep due to the heat but that was my own fault for assuming that the air con wasn't working rather than checking. The apartment is showing signs of wear and tear, and the cushions on the balcony settee could really do with replacing. However, apart from these little things, the apartment is a great choice for families and groups who want to enjoy independence in a very convenient location. There are plenty of shops just outside the apartment block too, including a big supermarket and clothes shops, which adds to the convenience.

We were 2 families (all together 11 people) staying at the blue house for 5 nights during a vacation to spain. The apt. is in a nice building (with a locked front entrance) on the 6th floor with an elevator. It was very spacious and suited us as we were travelling with 7 kids. The kitchen was very well equiped for us to cook meals, just like at home and the dining table opened up so we could all sit around it. The view from the balcony was amazing, looking over the beach and harbor .The washing room upstairs was very usefull, even though the drier did not work (obviously a technical problem, we emailed igancio during the stay about it and he replied quickly), but with the central heating in the apt. the washing dried off quite quickly, even without the drier. The water pressure in the shower downstairs was very low , but there are another 2 showers in the apt, so you can manage. The apt. is in a great location- there is a big supermarket in a small shopping mall just underneath the building, it is about a 5-7 minute walk from the closest metro station and in walking distance from the beach, zoo, barcelona aquarium, and shopping mall next to it. Across the road there are great parks for the kids to play in, also on the beach there is loads for the kids to do. It is about a 15-20 minute taxi ride to the airport I would highly recommend this apt. if you are travelling as a family with kids as it has all that you need and it is in a great location. What we got was exactly what Ignacio promised! We spent 6 glorious days in this beach front apartment and loved waking up to the incredible view of the pier and ocean every single morning! A few of us even made coffee and went to sit on the beach one morning because it was only a few steps away. The kitchen was very well kept with all of appliances working (and even some bonus ones hidden away in the cabinets, like the coffee machine that we LOVED having!) and it was well stocked for cooking (we stayed in one rainy evening and cooked a big feast!) Likewise, a large supermarket was not even 2 minutes from the apartment, which was so convenient upon arrival! What the bedrooms lacked in space, the living spaces made up for! There was tons of room to socialize in the common area with many people. Our only complaint about the facilities was the quality of one of the showers downstairs that was cold and had no water pressure; however, it was okay because we all ended up using the one upstairs which was great! The location was absolutely perfect as I mentioned. We were close to the beach, we walked to Las Ramblas along on the nice afternoons we had, and the metro stop was right around the corner about a 7 minute walk from the apartment. As a result, all of Barcelona was at our fingertips. Ignacio was a reliable owner who was not only willing to negotiate, and work with us but he was also very kind and helpful since we had to arrive late at night and leave early in the morning. He truly was interested in making sure that we enjoyed our stay! It was a relief to have had such a great experience as our first time renting an apartment (in a foreign country no less...we were 6 American girls vacationing while studying abroad in Italy so this was quite an adventure!) I highly recommend the Blue House, especially for big groups! You will love the space and location even in the colder months! Only 2 days we were there were good beach days, but we still felt connected to the city. Likewise, it can be a quiet area or a party area depending on what you want, the choice is yours! Several clubs are within a 5 minute walk, but being in the penthouse, you do not have to deal with any street noise! Thank you so much Ignacio! Enjoy, everyone because we surely did!

Location is perfect, bars and restaurants and supermarket downstairs. Excellent supermarket with huge choice of foods. Marina, clubs, beautiful beach opposite within 3 minute walk. Metro station short walk taking you into main shopping area of La Rambla. Able to walk to majority of places we visited, bus stop at back of shopping mall took you to most places if you don't want to walk! Watching the sunrise every morning from the balcony in December was very relaxing. Weather was warm 17 degrees, but colder once the sun went down, but still warmer than our families back in England (-5)! If you have never been to Parc Guell - please go and experience the entrance to the park, walk along the narrow streets of El Born and the Santa Maria church and of course the Sagrada Familia. The Christmas lights around Placa Catalunya made the atmosphere very festive. The cafe and pub downstairs (the same owners) is excellent. The breakfast is good quality, with good coffee, tea and staff. We were visiting our family and have stayed before as we like the location both in summer and winter. Plenty of room for families or friends staying together.

Loved the apartment! Close to everything. Great views from the balconies. Grocery store and mall right next door. Liked being able to cook breakfast everyday in the large kitchen. Great bar downstairs, and lots of restaurants nearby. Apartment was clean and was very nice. Fridge was full size as well as the stove. Did not use oven or dishwasher. Yes, the apartment is showing wear, but it is 20 years old so that is to be expected. It felt like a home and not a hotel. Very safe neighborhood. Metro was walking distance, but quite a few blocks away, so expect to have a nice stroll. Nice running/jogging/bike trail right by marina and beach. Great place to stay...much better than a hotel. Very easy transaction with owner. If you are looking for a comfortable and very reasonably priced apartment, look no further! Thanks Ignacio! We had a wonderful stay!
